Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

- Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
- Do not use outside the technical specifications.

5. Installation
5.1 Battery Installation

| Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children. |
- Remove the front cover using an appropriate screwdriver.
- Insert two LR6/AA batteries according to the polarity markings.
- Replace both batteries with new ones as soon as the low bat indicator is displayed.
- Proceed with installing the thermostat.
5.2 Thermostat Installation

- Choose your installation spot. Install the thermostat in a well-ventilated place and about 1.5 m (5 feet) above the floor, away from direct sunlight, heat and interference sources.
- Mount the thermostat on a flat surface. Drill two 6 mm holes and insert a nylon anchor plug in each hole. Drill two 2.6 mm holes when mounting the thermostat on a wooden surface.
- Wire the thermostat. The thermostat is designed for maximum 230 V\~, 6 A. Never exceed these limits!
Use wires with diameter of 1.0-2.5 mm ^4 and connect accordingly.

6. Operation
6.1 Setting Time and Day
The thermostat automatically enters the time setting mode after the batteries have been inserted. To set the time and day:
- Set the hour with ∧ or ∨. Confirm with Ⓛ.
- Similarly, set the minutes and day.
- Press to confirm and to return to the normal display.
6.2 Resetting
Press the RESET button located above the battery compartment to reset all settings.
6.3 Switching the Thermostat On/Off
Press ⬆ to switch the thermostat on or off.
In the off position, only the room temperature is displayed.

6.4 Setting a Program
- Press P to enter the programming mode.
- Set the day with ∧ or ∨. Confirm with P.
- Select the hour with ∧ or ∨. Set the comfort (●) or eco (○) mode for every hour of the selected day.
- Press Ⓐ to select the next day. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to set the program.
- Press to confirm and to return to the normal display.
6.5 Setting the Temperature
- Press to enter the temperature setting mode.
- Select the comfort ( ) or eco ( ) mode.
- Set the temperature with or .
- Press to confirm and to return to the normal display.
6.6 Setting the Temperature Sensitivity
According to your needs, adjust the temperature sensitivity range.
- Press S to enter the sensitivity setting mode.
- Set the sensitivity with on, from S0.2 to S1.6.
- Press to confirm and to return to the normal display.
Example: The temperature is set at 26 °C , and the sensitivity is S0.6. The connected heating appliance will switch on as soon as the ambient temperature drops below 25.4 °C . Otherwise, it will be on stand-by.
6.7 Manual Override
You can always override the set program by pressing the desired mode or by setting the desired temperature. Confirm with ⬆ The manual override symbol will be displayed.
In override mode, only ⏻, and ∨ will function.
Cancel the override setting by pressing ↓
6.8 Holiday Mode
The holiday mode allows temperature control during your absence.
- In normal display mode, keep pressed for two seconds.
- Set the temperature with or . Confirm with .

6.9 HEAT/COOL Jumper Switch
The HEAT/COLI jumper is located on the circuit board. Remove the
batteries before switching.
HEAT: the thermostat runs in heating mode.
COOL: the thermostat runs in cooling mode.
- Cleaning and Maintenance
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an
authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.
Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth to keep it leaking new. Do not
use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.

All our products fulfil strict quality requirements and legal stipulations in the EU. In order to ensure the quality, our products regularly go through an extra quality check, both by an internal quality department and by specialized external organisations. If, all precautionary measures notwithstanding, problems should occur, please make appeal to our warranty (see guarantee conditions).
General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):
- All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
- Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.
You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
• Not covered by warranty:
- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits; - consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... (unlimited list);
- flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc....;
- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions;
- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;
- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.
- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
- Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
• Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
- The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
