Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children. - Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with ammable propellant in this appliance. - This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and oces. - To avoid food contamination, please follow the instructions below: o Opening the door for a long period of time may cause a signicant increase in temperature in the appliance’s compartments. o Regularly clean the surfaces that might be in contact with food and accessible evacuation systems. o If the appliance remains empty for a long period of time, unplug it, defrost it, clean it, dry it, and leave the door open to prevent interior mould formation. - WARNING: when positioning the appliance, make sure the power cable does not get trapped or damaged. A crushed or damaged connector may heat up and cause a re. - Make sure the appliance plug is accessible after installation. - WARNING: do not attach multi-socket adaptors or multiple power supplies to the rear part of the appliance. - WARNING: keep the ventilation grilles on the enclosure of the appliance or the cabinet in which the appliance is located clear. - WARNING: do not use mechanical appliances or other means to accelerate the defrosting process other than those recommended by Cecotec. - WARNING: do not use electrical appliances inside the refrigerator. - WARNING: do not damage the refrigeration circuit. - If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the supplier, or qualied personnel to avoid hazards. - We recommend you check the power cable regularly to detect any sign of possible damage. Do not use the appliance if the cable is damaged. - WARNING: to avoid any risk due to the instability of the refrigerator, you must install it according to the instructions. - WARNING! It is dangerous for anyone other than authorised personnel to carry out maintenance or repairs involving the removal of covers. To prevent the electric shock risk do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. - Do not place carbonated beverages in the freezer compartment. Ice cream can cause frostbites. This can happen if they are ingested after removal from the freezer. - Do not remove items from the freezer with wet/moist hands, as this may cause skin abrasions or frostbites. Bottles and cans should not be placed in the freezer, as they may burst when their contents freeze. - Frozen food can cause frostbites if consumed right after removing it from the freezer compartment. - See the storage times recommended by the manufacturer. - Do not allow children to play with the controls or the freezer. The appliance is a heavy appliance. Caution must be taken when moving it. It is dangerous to alter specications or attempt to modify this appliance in any way.1514

- WARNING: doors or covers tted with locks and keys must be kept out of the reach of children and not in the vicinity of the freezing appliance to prevent children from being locked inside. - WARNING: the refrigerant used in your appliance and the insulation materials must be disposed of correctly. - Keep the packaging material away from children, as there is a risk of suocation. - WARNING: if the interior light is damaged, contact the ocial Cecotec Technical Support Service. Do not try to repair it on your own. - Make sure the appliance plug is accessible after installation. - Do not place food directly against the air outlet on the interior of the appliance. - Do not place hot food or drinks in the refrigerator, allow them to cool down to room temperature beforehand. - This appliance has a built-in earthed plug. Make sure the power supply in your house is properly earthed. - Keep the ventilation openings clear from obstructions. - Wait 5 minutes after a power failure before turning the appliance back on. Otherwise, the compressor may get damaged. - Do not place carbonated or zzy drinks in the freezer compartment, as this creates pressure in the container, which could explode and damage the appliance. - To avoid injuries or death caused by electric shock, do not use the appliance with your hands wet or over a wet surface. - You should never use this refrigerator with an extension lead or a multi-socket adaptor. Make sure the appliance is plugged in directly to a power supply. - When positioning the appliance, make sure there is enough free space at the rear, as it is the main heat outlet. This will allow for adequate ventilation. - Do not place any other appliance on the refrigerator and do not wet it. - This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system. - It is advisable to wait for at least four hours before connecting the appliance to allow oil to ow through the compressor. - Do not use the appliance outdoors or in damp environments. - Always handle the appliance carefully to avoid any damage on it. - Never use the base, drawers, or door as support. - Do not overload the door shelves or place too much food on the drawers to prevent items from falling o and damaging the appliance. - Store raw meat and sh in proper containers in the freezer, so they do not come into contact with or leak on other food. - The two-star compartments are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, storing, or making ice cream, and making ice cubes. - Compartments with one, two, or three stars are not suitable for freezing fresh food. - Air must ow around the appliance. Lack of air leads to overheating. To achieve good ventilation, follow the installation instructions. - Make sure that the mains plug is accessible after installation of the appliance. - All electrical work required to maintain this appliance must be carried out by a qualied electrician. Refrigerant - Isobutane refrigerant (R600a), contained within the refrigeration circuit of the appliance, is a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility; however,1716

it is ammable. Make sure that no components of the refrigeration circuit have been damaged during the transport and installation of the appliance. - WARNING: the refrigerant and the insulator gas are ammable. When disposing of the appliance, only dispose of it at an authorised waste-disposal facility. Do not expose it to ames. - WARNING: the appliance contains refrigerant and gases in the insulation. The appliance and gases must be disposed of professionally, as they may cause injuries to eyes or ignition. Make sure the refrigeration-circuit pipe is not damaged before disposing of it correctly. - WARNING: risk of re/ammable materials. - If the refrigeration circuit is damaged: o Avoid open ames and sources of ignition. o Completely air the room where the appliance is located. Temperature range - The appliance temperature range information can be found on its marking. It indicates the optimum room temperature for proper operation of the appliance. Climate range Optimum room temperature SN From +10 °C to +32 °C N From +16 °C to +32 °C ST From +16 °C to +38 °C T From +16 °C to +43 °C - Taking into account the limiting values of the room temperature range for the climates for which the appliance is designed and that internal temperatures may be aected by factors such as the location of the appliance, room temperature and frequency of door opening, it may be necessary to modify the setting of any temperature control device according to these factors. - If the appliance is operated in an environment other than the specied climate type (i.e. beyond the rated ambient temperature range), it may not be able to maintain the desired indoor temperatures.

Accessories Always install one of the shelves on the guides and leave it in that position. To do so, pull from the shelf forward until it can be moved up and down and pulled out. Models with reference 00149, 00150 and 00151 GrandCooler 20000 SilentCompress White/ Black/Inox E feature an ice box at the top, unlike models with reference 03616, 03617 and 03618 GrandCooler 20000 L SilentCompress White/Inox/Black. NOTE The graphics in this manual are schematic representations and may not exactly match the device. To make the most out of the appliance in terms of energy eciency, place all the shelves and drawers in their original position, that is, as shown in Figure 1.

- This appliance includes a safety package to protect it during transport. Unpack the appliance and keep the original packaging and materials in a safe place. It will help prevent any damage if the appliance needs to be transported in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly. - Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or not in good condition, contact the ocial Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately. - Keep the device in an upright position for at least 2 hours before connecting it to the mains. This will reduce the possibility of a cooling system malfunction after transport. - Clean the interior surface with warm water, a soft cloth, and a mild bicarbonate solution. Then, rinse it with warm water and use paper towels to remove excess water. - Clean the shelves and drawers. - Place the device on a surface hard enough to stand the weight of the device when it has food. - Before introducing food on the device, turn it on and wait for at least 24 hours to make sure it works properly and so it reaches the optimum temperature. - Place the appliance on a at, stable surface. The device must be installed in a well ventilated room, at a temperature between 16 ºC and 38 ºC. - When installing the device, make sure you keep a free space of: - 40 cm on each side - 15 cm on the rear part - 20 cm on the upper part - The door can be opened to either the left or the right. Choose to which side you wish to open the door and leave enough space to be able to open it completely. - The door of the unit can be completely opened as shown next. W×D≥900 mm×800 mm Fig. 2. Levelling the unit Fig. 1. - To level the unit, set the 2 front feet of the device. - If the unit is not properly levelled, the door and the magnetic sealing will not match. Door opening direction Tools needed: crosshead screwdriver/at-head screwdriver/hexagon spanner. Note - If you wish to reverse the door oscillation, we advise you to contact a qualied technician. You must only try to reverse the door if you think you are qualied to do so. - Make sure the unit is unplugged and empty. - Set the two adjustable feet to the highest position. - To remove the door, if necessary, tilt the unit backwards. Leave the unit on a solid object so it does not slip during the door reversing process. - All the removed parts must be saved for reinstallation of the door. - Do not place the unit on a horizontal position, as this could damage the cooling system. - It is recommended for two people to handle the device during assembly. Fig. 3. Remove the plastic cover of the upper hinge of the door. Fig. 4. - Loosen the three lower transport bolts. - Remove the foot on the opposite side. Fig. 5. Set it aside. Fig. 6. Slide the door of the device up to 15 cm and outside the pin of the upper hinge and remove it from the device. Fig. 7. Remove the two upper transport bolts and place them back on the other side. First, remove the plastic covers from the other side. Fig. 8. - Slide the door of the device again on the upper hinge. Make sure it is in its correct position. - Screw the lower hinge into position on the new side. - Place the plastic cover again, by tting it back into position on the door hinge until it clicks into place. Fig. 9. - Check if the door is horizontally and vertically aligned and if the seals are closed on all sides before the lower hinge is tightened. - Adjust the levelling feet again.

Temperature settings Turn the knob to select the desired temperature. The number shows power, it does not imply a specic temperature. Tips - Cooked sh and meat must always be stored in a shelf over raw sh and meat to prevent bacterial transfer. Store raw sh and meat in a container large enough so it can store the juice and cover it properly. Place the container on the lower shelf. - Leave space around food to allow air to move inside the unit. Make sure all the unit parts are cool. - To avoid smell transfer and dehydration, wrap or cover food separately. It is not necessary to wrap fruits or vegetables. - Allow pre-cooked food to cool down before putting it in the unit. This will help keep the interior temperature of the unit. - To prevent cold air from escaping from the unit, try to open the door as little as possible. We recommend you open the door only if necessary to introduce or remove food. Tips on energy saving - Try not to open the door too often, especially when the climate is moist and hot. ENGLISH ENGLISH - From time to time, check if the device is properly ventilated (suitable air circulation behind the device). - In normal temperature conditions, you must set the knob in a medium position. Before loading the device with fresh food, make sure it is at room temperature. - Layers of ice and frost increase energy consumption, so clean the appliance as soon as the layer is 3-5 mm thick. - The rear wall must always be clean, free from dust or any impurity. - The device must be placed in the coldest area of the room, away from heat sources or heating ducts, and away from direct sunlight. - Allow hot food to cool down to room temperature before storing it in the device. Overloading the appliance causes the compressor to run longer. Food that cools slowly may lose quality or spoil. - Make sure you wrap food properly and dry the containers before placing them inside the device. This reduces the build-up of frost inside the appliance. - The storage compartment of the device should not be covered with aluminium foil, wax paper, or paper towels. Covering the interior interferes with the circulation of cold air, which may make the appliance less ecient. - Organise and label food to reduce the door opening and long searches. Remove as many items as necessary at once and close the door as soon as possible.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Defrosting - Frost can build up in the interior rear surface of the device. If this is the case, unplug the device and allow some time so frost becomes water. You can use the shovel to remove the accumulated frost but take special care not to damage the surface of the device. - Water is channelled through the drain hole in the collection tray above the compressor. - Make sure the drain hole is checked and cleaned regularly so water is released from the storage compartment. - Make sure water does not overow. Cleaning of the interior and the exterior of the unit - Clean the interior of the unit with a diluted bicarbonate solution and then rinse it with warm water using a sponge or cloth. Dry it completely before placing the shelves and the compartment again. - Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior. - The condenser grid on the rear part of the unit and the adjoining components can be cleaned using a soft brush (make sure the device is unplugged from the mains). - Hold the unit by its sides or the base when moving it. You should not hold it by the edges of the upper part under any circumstance. - When the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains, empty all food and clean the appliance, leaving the door slightly open to avoid unpleasant odours. - Condensation may appear in the exterior of the unit. This could be caused by a change in the room temperature. Clean any moisture remain. If the problem persists, contact the ocial Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

The appliance does not work Make sure the device is plugged to a power supply. Ensure the correct operation of the electrical installation. Smell Smelly food must be wrapped properly. Check if the food is rotten. Remove it and clean the interior thoroughly. Extended compressor operation It is normal for the compressor to run longer in summer, when the room temperature is higher. Do not introduce too much food at once. Avoid opening the door of the device continuously. The door does not close properly There is too much food inside the device. Food inside the device is not properly placed. The device is tilted. Abnormal noise Place the device on a at surface. The device is not properly assembled. The following situations are not faults - You hear the noise of the cooling uid owing through the pipes: this is normal. - Moisture on the outer surface of the appliance during humid seasons does not constitute a problem; simply wipe the collected moisture with a soft, dry cloth. - The compressor and the condenser may have become hot during periods of strong heat. - The door frame is a little warm; this means that the condenser is working to remove moisture from the air.GRANDCOOLER 20000 SILENTCOMPRESS WHITE/BLACK/INOX E
