5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Unplug the power cord from the mains before cleaning and defrosting the refrigerator. Cleaning - Clean the dust around the refrigerator to improve the heat dissipation effect and save energy. - The interior of the refrigerator should be cleaned frequently to avoid unpleasant odours. Use a soft cloth dampened with water and wipe dry with another cloth. Do not use hard brushes, steel wool, wire brushes, abrasives (such as toothpaste), organic solvents (such as alcohol, benzene, lacquer thinner, etc.), boiling water, acid and alkaline substances to clean the refrigerator. This can damage the surface and coating of the refrigerator. Do not use water for cleaning, so as not to affect the performance of the electrical insulation. ENGLISH - In case of power failure: The door opening frequency should be reduced as much as possible when the power is cut off. - If the refrigerator is not going to be used for a long time: disconnect the refrigerator from the power socket to avoid electric shock or fire due to the aging of the power cord. Cleaning the inside of the refrigerator: open the refrigerator door for a while and close it after the refrigerator is completely dry. - When moving the refrigerator: Remove all food items from the appliance before relocating it, secure the glass partition and the fruit and vegetable crisper drawer with tape, and tighten the levelling feet. Note: Once the refrigerator is in operation, it is best to use it continuously. Under normal circumstances, do not switch off the refrigerator so as not to affect its service life.

If the following simple problems occur, you can try to solve them yourself. If the problem persists, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. Problem Possible causes The refrigerator does not work. Check if the power supply is connected and the plug is properly plugged in. The voltage is too low. The refrigerator has an unpleasant odour. Strong-smelling food should be well wrapped. Check for spoiled food. The interior of the refrigerator needs to be cleaned. The compressor runs for a long time. In summer, it is normal for the refrigerator to run for a long time because the room temperature is higher. Too much food has been placed at once. Allow cooked food to cool down before placing it in the refrigerator. The refrigerator door is opened too often. The refrigerator light does not turn on. Check if the refrigerator is switched on or if the bulb is damaged. The bulb must be replaced by a professional. To do so, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. The refrigerator door does not close properly. The door is jammed with food, so it cannot be closed. Too much food has been placed in the refrigerator. The refrigerator is not level. The refrigerator makes noises. Check if the floor is flat and the refrigerator is placed in a stable position. Check if the refrigerator accessories are in normal position. The door gasket appears to be loose. Remove any foreign material from the door gasket. Heat the door gasket and restore it after cooling (with a hair dryer or hot towel).BOLERO COOLMARKET COMBI 409 E/C

ENGLISH Problem Possible causes Water accumulates on the floor. Too much stored food or too much humidity in the refrigerator causes a large amount of water during defrosting. Incorrect placement of food and other reasons cause air to enter and form frost, increasing the water produced by defrosting. The side of the refrigerator heats up. It is normal for the built-in resistor to dissipate heat through the housing. The room temperature is too high, and there is too much food, or a short compressor run time. This causes the housing to heat up. Pay attention to ventilation and heat dissipation. There is external condensation. When the room temperature is too high, condensation will occur on the outside surface of the refrigerator and on the door surface. This is a normal phenomenon and can be cleaned with a cloth. There is an abnormal sound in the refrigerator. Buzzing: When the compressor runs, it will produce a buzzing sound. The sound is loud when it starts or stops, but it is a normal phenomenon. Squeaking: It is a normal phenomenon for the refrigerant in electrical appliances to make a squeaking noise when flowing. Error codes If any of the following codes appear on the display, stop using the refrigerator. Although the refrigerator may still be able to cool when one of these errors occurs, you should contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service as soon as possible.
