Recommendations and suggestions
- The Instructions for Use apply to several versions of this ap- pliance. Accordingly, you may nd descriptions of individual features that do not apply to your specic appliance.
- The manufacturer will not be held liable for any damages resulting from incorrect or im- proper installation.
- The minimum safety distance between the cooker top and the extractor hood is 650 mm (some models can be installed at a lower height, please refer to the paragraphs on working dimensions and installation).
- Check that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated ontheratingplate xedto the inside of the hood.
- For Class I appliances, check that the domestic power supply guarantees adequate earthing. Connect the extractor to the exhaust ue through a pipe of minimum diameter 120 mm. The route of the ue must be as short as possible.
- Do not connect the extractor hood to exhaust ducts carry- ing combustion fumes (boilers, replaces, etc.).
- If the extractor is used in conjunction with non-electrical appliances (e.g. gas burning appliances),asufcientdegree of aeration must be guaranteed in the room in order to prevent thebackowofexhaustgas.The kitchen must have an opening communicating directly with the open air in order to guarantee the entry of clean air. When the cooker hood is used in conjunction with appliances supplied with energy other than electric, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 0,04 mbar to prevent fumes being drawn back into the room by the cooker hood.
- The air must not be discharged into a ue that is used for ex- hausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels (not applicable to appliances that only discharge the air back into the room).
- In the event of damage to the power cable, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by the technical service department, in order to prevent any risks.
- If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance specied above, this has to be taken into account. Regulations concerning the dis- chargeofairhavetobefullled.
- Use only screws and small parts in support of the hood.

screws or xing device in ac- cordance with these instructions may result in electrical hazards.
- Connect the hood to the mains through a two-pole switch having a contact gap of at least 3 mm. Use
- The extractor hood has been de- signed exclusively for domestic EN4 use to eliminate kitchen smells.
- Never use the hood for purposes other than for which it has been designed.

- Adjust the ame intensity to direct it onto the bottom of the pan only, making sure that it does not engulf the sides.
- Deep fat fryers must be con- tinuously monitored during use: overheated oil can burst into ames.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental ca- pabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowl- edge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

- The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. - Switch off or unplug the ap- pliance from the mains supply before carrying out any main- tenance work.
- Clean and/or replace the Filters after the specied time period (Fire hazard).
- “Failure to carry out cleaning asindicatedwillresultinare hazard”. - The Activated charcoal lter is not washable and cannot be regenerated, and must be replaced approximately every 4 months of operation, or more frequently for particularly heavy usage (W).5
- The Grease lters must be cleaned every 2 months of operation, or more frequently for particularly heavy usage, and can be washed in a dish- washer (Z).
- Clean the hood using a damp cloth and a neutral liquid de- tergent.6 Controls Button Led Function L - Turns the lights ON/OFF at maximum strength. - Press and hold the button for approximately 5 seconds, with all the loads turned off (Motor and Lights), to turn the Activated Charcoal Filter alarm on. The 4 LEDs on the buttons ash twice to conrm. To turn the alarm off, press the button again and hold for at least 5 seconds. The 4 LEDs on the buttons ash once. T1 Fixed Turns the motor on/off at speed one. Flashing 24h function: Press and hold the button for approx. 2 seconds to Activate/Deactivate the motor in 24h Air Circulation mode, a speed that allows ducting for 10 minutes every hour, for a 24 hour cycle. Cannot be activated if Intensive or Delay modes are active. T2 Fixed Turns the Motor on at speed two. Flashing Delay function: Press and hold the button for approx. 3 seconds to Activate/Deactivate the Delay function (automatic switching off of the Motor, the Fans and the Lighting with a 30’ delay). Cannot be enabled when Intensive or 24h are on. T3 Fixed Turns the Motor on at speed three. - Press and hold the button for approximately 3 seconds, with all the loads turned off (Motor and Lights), to reset the Filter saturation alarm. The LED S1ashesthreetimes. T4 Flashing Turns the Motor on at Intensive. Speed.This speed is timed to run for 6 minutes. At the end of this time, the system returns automatically to the speed that was set before. If it is activated with the motor turned off, the hood will switch to OFF at the end of the time. - Pressandholdfor5secondstoenabletheremotecontrol,indicatedbytheLEDashingtwice. Pressandholdfor5secondstodisabletheremotecontrol,indicatedbytheLEDashing just once. S1 Fixed Signals the Metal Grease Filter saturation alarm, indicating that it is necessary to wash the lters.ThealarmistriggeredaftertheHoodhasbeeninoperationfor100workinghours. Flashing When this is activated, it signals the Activated Charcoal Filter saturation alarm, indicating that the lter must be changed; the Metal Grease Filters must also be washed. The Activated Charcoal Filter saturation alarm comes into operation after the Hood has been working for 200 hours.7 Remote control The appliance can be controlled using a re- mote control powered by a 1.5 V carbon-zinc alkaline batteries of the standard LR03-AAA type (not included).
- Do not place the remote control near to heat sources.
- Used batteries must be disposed of in the proper manner. Motor On/Off. Decreases the working speed each time it is pressed. Increases the working speed each time it is pressed. Activates/Deactivates Intensive operation. Brief pressure: Activates/Deactivates the Delay function: automatic switch-off with a 30’ delay. The display shows the operating speed and the dot at the bottom right ashes once a second. Press for 2 seconds: Activates/Deactivates the 24h function: turns the suction motor on at speed one and effects one 10 minute extraction every hour.
