How to turn the station on and off?
Use the mains switch on the back: position I to turn on, position O to turn off. After switching on, the display activates. Wait for preheating before soldering.
How to adjust the temperature?
Use the + and - buttons to adjust the temperature from +100 °C to +500 °C. Hold the button down for quick scrolling. The display shows the set temperature.
What does the 'SLP' display on the screen mean?
The SLP display indicates that standby mode is active. This occurs automatically when the hot air nozzle is inserted into the holder. After 30 seconds, the heating element and fan turn off to save energy.
How to change the hot air nozzle?
Wait until the nozzle is completely cooled (risk of burns). Gently pull the nozzle to remove it, then insert the new nozzle until it stops. Use the three provided nozzles for different diameters. Do not use tools.
Why does the solder not melt?
The set temperature may be too low. Make sure it is at least 50 °C above the melting point of the solder. Also, too large a distance between the nozzle and the workpiece or insufficient air flow can prevent melting. Increase the temperature or reduce the distance.
Can I use the station outdoors?
No, use is only permitted indoors, in closed and dry rooms. Exposure to moisture, rain, or water can cause electric shock or damage the device.
How to clean the soldering station?
Turn off the device and unplug the power cord. Allow to cool completely. Clean the exterior with a dry, soft, clean cloth. Never use aggressive detergents or solvents, as they could damage the housing.
Standby mode does not activate, what to do?
Standby mode is activated by the magnet in the holder and the magnetic switch in the nozzle housing. Make sure the nozzle is correctly inserted into the holder (see figure in the manual). If the problem persists, check that no metallic object is interfering with the magnet.
Which nozzle to use for which work?
Use the smallest diameter nozzle for precise work on densely populated boards. Wider nozzles are suitable for heating larger areas. You can also work without a nozzle for wide areas. Change the nozzle only after complete cooling.
What to do if the display does not light up?
Check that the station is plugged into a power outlet and the rear switch is in position I. If the display remains off, consult a specialist. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself.
