Frequently Asked Questions - EPH200 YAMAHA

How to choose the right eartip size?
Try the different sizes (LL, L, M, S, SS) provided. Size M eartips are pre-installed. Choose those that offer the best comfort and good sound isolation. Poor fit reduces bass quality.
How to connect the detachable cable?
Insert the MMCX connector of the cable into the earpiece aligning the notch. You can orient the cable at four different angles. Do not twist the connector forcefully as it is not screw-type.
What to do if sound is only coming from one channel?
Check that the plug is fully inserted into the audio source. Ensure the cable is properly connected on both sides. If the issue persists, try another device.
How to prevent the cable from tangling?
Use the provided smart cable clip. Slide it down the cable when not using the earphones, then insert the L-shaped plug into the clip to keep the cable in place.
Can I use these earphones with a smartphone?
Yes, the standard L-shaped plug (3.5 mm jack) is compatible with most smartphones and portable players. Make sure the plug is fully inserted.
How to clean the earphones?
Clean the eartips with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or solvents. Avoid moisture. For the cable, wipe it gently.
What to do if eartips detach and remain in the ear?
Consult a doctor immediately. Do not attempt to remove them yourself. Always firmly attach the eartips before use. Keep small components out of reach of children.
Volume is too high or too low, what to do?
Adjust the volume directly on your source device. If the volume is too low, check that the plug is fully inserted and the eartips are properly positioned. Avoid listening at excessive volume to protect your hearing.
How to store the earphones in the carrying case?
Place the earphones in the case making sure not to bend the cable. Use the smart cable clip to prevent tangles. The case protects the earphones from scratches and dust.

CAUTION

  • Do not use the earphones with detached or broken eartips. Doing so may cause injury or illness.
  • Securely attach the eartips to the earphones. If the eartips detach from the earphones and lodge in your ears, they may cause injury or illness.

Note

  • If the eartips are not securely positioned in your ears, you may not hear the bass range clearly. To enjoy optimum sound quality, adjust the eartips so they will fit in your ears perfectly. Also, try replacing poor-fitting eartips with eartips of an appropriate size.

② Detachable cable

The attachment can be set to one of four different angles. When detaching and attaching the cables, plug and unplug them straightly. Adjust the notch of the cable to the mark on the earphone.

NOTICE

  • When removing the cable from the earphones, always hold the junction not the cable. Pulling by the cable can damage it.

  • The junction with a detachable cable is not a screw type. Turning it by force may damage it.

Though the junctions adopt MMCX connectors, the earphones may not be able to be connected to commercially available MMCX cables.

③Smart cable holder

When not using the earphones, slide the smart cable holder (for preventing tangling) fully upward. Also, insert the L-shaped plug in the smart cable holder to prevent the entire cable from becoming tangled.
