What age is recommended for this railway toy?

This toy is suitable for children from 3 years old. It contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard.

What types of batteries are needed?

The ship uses one CR1632 battery (3 V). The lighthouse uses two AAA/LR03 batteries (1.5 V). The USB vehicle has a built-in rechargeable Li-Po battery.

How to recharge the vehicle battery?

Use the provided USB cable (USB-C). Plug it into the vehicle and into a USB port of a powered computer or charging station. Charging time is approximately 300 minutes.

Why does my ship no longer produce sound or light?

Check that the CR1632 battery in the ship is properly inserted and not depleted. Sound and light automatically turn off after 10 seconds.

How to use the color recognition technology?

Attach the color plates (purple, blue, red, green) onto straight rails. The vehicle reacts according to the color: purple = stop, blue = sound, red = light change, green = direction change.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

No, it is not recommended to use rechargeable batteries. Use only the specified types: CR1632 and AAA/LR03.

What to do if my child swallows a battery?

Consult a doctor immediately. Lithium button cells can cause severe internal chemical burns. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

How to clean the rails and the toy?

Clean the rails with a damp cloth before first use. For the rest of the toy, use a damp cloth without harsh chemicals.

My vehicle does not start, what to do?

Ensure the battery is charged (charge it via USB). Check that the switch (16d) is set to ON. The vehicle can be stopped by pressing the button (16b).

What is the warranty period?

The warranty is 3 years from the date of purchase, covering material and manufacturing defects. Wear parts (batteries, etc.) are not included.

Intended use

This product is a toy for private use and for children aged 3 years and above.

Safety information

• Warning. Not suitable for children under 36 months. Choking hazard. Small parts.
• Warning. The toy creates flashes of light that may trigger epilepsy in sensitive persons.
  Children may play with this product only under adult supervision.
  Adult assembly required. Ensure that the product and all components are not given to children until after assembly.
• Warning. None of the packaging materials, attachments or the 'SUPER DRY' bag (drying agent) are part of the toy itself, and must always be removed for safety reasons before the product is given to children to play with.
• Warning. The drying agent contains calcium chloride (CAS 10043-52-4). Keep out of reach of children.
  The LEDs are not replaceable.

• This toy contains non-replaceable batteries.

• This product includes small magnets. Swallowing a magnet can lead to serious injury! If a magnet is swallowed see a doctor immediately. This product is manufactured with great care but if damage does happen to occur, take it away from children without delay and dispose of it.

• Check the product for damage and wear before each use. The product may only be used in good order and condition!
• Only use the battery type: CR1632, LR03.

Battery warning notices!

• Remove the batteries when they are flat, or if the product is not in use for an extended period.
• Do not use different types or brands of batteries together, or new and used batteries, or ones with different capacities, as they can leak and cause damage.
• Ensure the polarity (+/-) is correct when inserting the batteries.
• Replace all batteries at the same time and dispose of the old batteries as prescribed.

Danger!

• Handle damaged or leaking batteries with extreme caution and dispose of them properly as soon as possible. Wear gloves when doing so.

If you come into contact with battery acid, wash the affected area with soap and water. If battery acid gets in your eye, rinse it with water and seek medical attention immediately!
- The connection terminals must not be short-circuited.

Warnings for integrated battery!

• Never leave batteries charging unattended.
• Never charge the rechargeable battery immediately after use. Always allow the battery to cool down first (at least 5-10 minutes).
• Only use the USB cable provided to charge the rechargeable battery.
• Since the rechargeable battery heats up during the charging process, it is vital to ensure there is adequate ventilation. Never cover the product.
  If electrolyte solution leaks out of the rechargeable battery or the product, avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. Rinse affected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor. The electrolyte solution can cause irritation.
• Disconnect the product from the USB cable once it is fully charged.
  The product may only be charged in dry, enclosed indoor areas. Never charge or store the product near large heat sources or open fires, as this could result in the rechargeable battery exploding.
• If the rechargeable battery burns while charging, do not extinguish it with water; use dry sand (for example).
• Do not leave the product unattended during the charging process and watch out for possible overheating.
  Only charge the rechargeable battery at an ambient temperature of 5 - 35^
• The charging contacts on the device must not be connected by metal objects.
  If the product has been subjected to a severe impact, store it in a very safe place (e.g. in a metal box) for the next 30 minutes.
• Never try to manipulate, modify or repair the rechargeable battery or the product.

Assembly

When assembling the product, pay attention to the individual steps as shown in Fig. B-F.

Bridge sections

Assemble the bridge sections as shown in Fig. K. The height

of the bridge can be adjusted.

Harbour plate

Connect the harbour plates (21) and (22) using two connectors (36). Then press the bollards (23) into the holes of the assembled harbour plate.

Charging the battery (Fig. 1)

1. Connect the USB connector (17a) of the USB cable (17) with the rechargeable battery connector (16d) of the train (16).
2. Insert the USB plug (17b) of the USB cable into a USB port of a switched-on laptop/notesbook or of a charging station with a USB port.

Inserting/replacing batteries (Fig. G and H)

WARNING! Comply with the following instructions in order to prevent mechanical and electrical damage.

For inserting and replacing the batteries (11), (15) proceed as shown in Fig. G and H.

Note: You will need a suitable screwdriver (not contained in delivery).

Note: Pay attention to the plus/minus polarity of the batteries and their correct installation.

The batteries must be located entirely inside the battery compartment.

Assembly variants can be found in the enclosed overview.

Note: assembly variants with multiple, consecutive curved parts can potentially derail the vehicles!

Clean the tracks with a damp cloth before using them for the first time!

Use

Lighthouse

Press the button (13a) to turn the light on and off (Fig. H).

Note: if the button is not pressed, the light turns off automatically after approx. 30 seconds.

Ship

• Press the button (10a) to turn the light and sound on and off (Fig. E).

Note: the light and sound turn off automatically after approx. 10 seconds.

Note: dock the ship only outside the container terminal.

Container terminal

Containers can be transferred between ship, rail and lorry at the container terminal.

• Use the winch on the crane to move the containers up or down.
• Slide the container bridge and crane to the desired position.

Vehicle (Fig. J)

• Press the button (16a) to drive the vehicle forwards.
• Press the button (16b) to stop the vehicle.
• Press the button (16c) to reverse the vehicle.

Warning! The vehicle is not designed for reversing on bridges or inclines.

Note: the vehicle is off when the control switch (16d) is in the 'OFF' position.

Colour recognition technology

Attach the colour plates (44) to the rails to use the colour recognition technology (Fig. L).

Note: the colour plates can only be placed on the straight rails.

If the vehicle (16) drives over a colour plate, it is controlled according to the colour:

Storage, cleaning

When not in use, always store the product dry, clean, without batteries and at room temperature. Only clean the product with a damp cloth and wipe dry afterwards.

Warning: the tracks should be cleaned before being used for the first time!

IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents.

Disposal

The accompanying symbol indicates that this device complies with Directive 2012/19/EU. This directive indicates that you may not dispose of this device

along with basic household waste at the end of its useful life and instead must hand it in to specifically designated collection sites, valuable substance collection stations, or waste disposal facilities.

Look after the environment and dispose of waste properly.

Batteries may not be disposed of with household waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment. The chemical symbols of the heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Dispos of used batteries at a municipal collection site.

For further information about disposal of the product no longer needed, contact your local council. Dispose of the product and the packaging in an

environmentally friendly manner. Store the packaging materials (foil bags, for example) out of the reach of children.

Note the label on the packaging materials when separating waste, as these are labelled with abbreviations (a)

and numbers (b) with the following meaning:

1-7: plastics / 20-22: paper and cardboard / 80-98: composite materials.

The product and the packaging materials can be recycled, dispose of them separately for better treatment of waste.

DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three-year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guarantee period) in accordance with the following provisions. The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) or fragile parts such as switches, rechargeable batteries, or parts made of glass.

Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances.

Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt.
