GC542 SPORT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE: Before using the hair clipper the hair must be clean and dry. We recommend cutting small quantities of hair at a time, adjusting the cutting length gradually until finding the one you want. The blades risk getting stuck if too fast movements are made or if a lot of hair is cut at the same time. It can be used without attachment comb to trim beard, neck hair and sideburns. BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE: Before charging the appliance for the first time we recommend fully discharging the battery and then fully charging it.

2. Plug the adapter into the USB port of your PC, Notebook or Tablet and then connect it to the device. A

standard USB adapter (5V 1000 mA) may be used. The charging LED will light up and remain red for the whole charging process.

3. The first charge takes 12 hours. Subsequent charges take about 8 hours. When fully charged, the battery will

last about 45 minutes.

• Turn off the hair clipper by pressing the (O/I) button. INSERTION OF THE COMB: The supplied comb has two bars, each with a guiding groove in the central part (Fig. 1). The hair clipper has two guideways on the two sides, on the upper part of the body of the product (Fig. 2). To insert the comb in the hair clipper, slide the bars of the comb on the guideway found on the body of the product until you hear a slight click: insertion will be now be completed. To remove the comb, just extract it from its groove, applying force to the hair clipper blade. Fig.2 Fig.1CUTTING LENGTH ADJUSTMENT: The GC542 Sport hair clipper offers the possibility of making finishing touches of 0.8 mm (if used without any guide comb attached) and performing classic hair cuts with the following lengths: 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10/11/ 12/13/14/15/16/17/18/19/20/21/22/23/24 mm. To change the cutting length, once the comb has been inserted on the hair clipper, turn the adjusting wheel found on the body of the product to the left until achieving the desired height (Fig. 3). The cutting length can be displayed in the window above the wheel (Fig.4). To decrease the cutting length, turn the wheel in the opposite direction, i.e. to the right. THINNING FUNCTION: The GC542 Sport hair clipper has a hair trimming function to reduce hair volume. To use this function move the switch found on the body of the product to the left, until the comb which protrudes from the inside of the product is completely raised (Fig. 5). After using the thinning function, move the switch towards the opposite side, i.e. to the right.

DO NOT CLEAN ANY PART OF THE APPLIANCE UNDER RUNNING WATER. CLEANING THE HEAD: Before any cleaning operation, make sure that the appliance is properly turned off and disconnected from the power outlet. Remove the accessory if it is inserted. Remove the head by pressing lightly in the opposite direction to the snap in (Fig.6). Using the special brush supplied, remove any hair residues inside the appliance body, between the blades and the back of the head. Replace the head in the initial position, snapping it in until you hear the click.

HOW AND WHEN TO LUBRICATE THE BLADE: Before the first use we recommend lubricating the blade with a drop of the oil found in the package or with any other lubricating oil (make sure that it is not too viscous). Turn the hair clipper upside down so that oil does not drip on the appliance. Lubricate the blade with a few drops of oil (Fig.7).23

CUTTING LENGTH ADJUSTMENT: The GT527 Sport beard trimmer offers the possibility of making finishing touches of 0.4 mm (if used without any guide comb attached) and trimming beard with the following lengths: 3, 4, 5 , 6 and 7 mm.
