RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE:

Before using the multifunction appliance the hair must be clean and dry. We recommend cutting small quantities of hair at a time, adjusting the cutting length gradually until finding the one you want. The blades risk getting stuck if too fast movements are made or if a lot of hair is cut at the same time. It can be used without attachment comb to trim beard, neck hair and sideburns.

HEADS SUPPLIED:

Hair clipper: this accessory can be used to cut hair in the classic way.

Beard trimmer: use this accessory to trim the hair at the nape of the neck as well as the beard.

Razor: this accessory can be used to shave the hair completely on specific areas of the nape of the neck or to shave the beard.

Nose & ear trimmer: this accessory can be used to trim nose and ear hair. Be very careful to avoid injuries or lesions.

BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE:

Before charging the appliance for the first time we recommend fully discharging the battery and then fully charging it.

1. Make sure that the appliance is switched off.
2. Plug the adapter into the USB port of your PC, Notebook or Tablet and then connect it to the device. A standard USB adapter (5V = 1000 mA) may be used. The charging LED will light up and remain red for the whole charging process. The accessory holding charging base can also be used to charge it. In this case insert the adapter plug directly under the base. The special compartment for inserting the cord has a cover that must be opened to allow inserting the cord; once the cord has been inserted, the cover must be put back in place so the cord does not move. There is an undercut for the cord on the extreme rear of the base to keep it from being squashed by the base and risk being damaged.
3. The first charge takes 12 hours. Subsequent charges take about 8 hours. When fully charged, the battery will last about 45 minutes.
4. Once it is fully charged, disconnect the adapter from the USB port of your PC, Notebook or Tablet or from the power outlet.
5. Thanks to its cord-cordless function the appliance may be used connected directly to the USB port or power outlet if the battery charge is depleted.

The duration of the battery varies based on usage frequency and times. To increase the lifespan of the batteries, this procedure should be carried out at least twice a year, discharging the battery completely and recharging it for the maximum time. If the appliance is not used often, remember in any case to carry out a charging cycle every so often during the year to keep it working efficiently. On the contrary, when the charging is finished, do not keep the appliance connected to the mains to prevent the battery from overcharging and damaging the appliance.

WARNING: Do not attempt to replace the internal battery of the hair clipper. This can lead to the risk of fire or electric shock. Tampering invalidates the warranty on the product.

INSERTION OF THE INTERCHANGEABLE HEADS:

The insertion method is identical for all heads.

There is a U-shaped snap seat on the inside of the upper part of the appliance. Fig.1

To insert the heads, grasp the multifunction appliance by the rear side. With the other hand, take the head to be inserted and line up the black lever of the head with the snap seat found inside the product. When the lever has been inserted into the snap seat, push towards the front part of the appliance until you hear a slight click: insertion will now be completed.

REMOVAL OF THE INTERCHANGEABLE HEADS:

The removal method is identical for all heads.
To remove the heads, grasp the multifunction appliance by the front side, place your thumb over the head and push outward until the head is completely removed.

INSERTION AND REMOVAL OF COMBS:

To insert the attachment combs on the hair clipper head, slide the blade against the inner wall of the comb up to its teeth and then push the base of the comb against the base of the blade head until you hear a slight click: insertion will now be completed. Remove the combs using the tab located on the base of the comb, exerting an outward force.

To insert the attachment comb on the beard trimmer head, slide the blade against the inner wall of the comb up to its teeth, in this case also until you hear a slight click: insertion will be now be completed. To remove the comb push upward on its base until it is completely removed.

CUTTING LENGTH ADJUSTMENT:

The GCX623 multifunction appliance offers the possibility of making finishing touches of 0.8mm , 0.7mm and 0.6mm if used without any comb attached. These cutting lengths are achieved using the switch found on the top of the product (Fig. 3). But it also possible to achieve a classic hair cut to the following lengths: 3-6-9-12 mm and to trim the beard to 2mm using the supplied attachment comb.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

A clean and properly lubricated appliance considerably improves its capacity and cutting precision.

DO NOT CLEAN ANY PART OF THE APPLIANCE UNDER RUNNING WATER.

HOW TO CLEAN THE HEADS:

Before any cleaning operation, make sure that the appliance is properly turned off and disconnected from the power outlet.

Remove the head following the instructions provided beforehand and, using the special brush supplied, remove any hair residues inside the appliance body, between the blades and the back of the head. Replace the head in the initial position as explained beforehand.

The razor head can be cleaned internally. There is a black button on each side of the head; when they are pressed, it is possible to remove the upper part of the head and remove any hair residues with the greatest care, again using the special brush supplied. To insert the upper part of the head, slide the two lateral axes inside their snap seat until you hear a slight click.

NEVER DISASSEMBLE THE HEAD INTO ITS INTEGRAL PARTS OR YOU WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY ON THE ENTIRE PRODUCT.

HOW AND WHEN TO LUBRICATE THE BLADE:

Before the first use we recommend lubricating the blade of the desired head (not the head of the razor) with a drop of the oil found in the package or with any other lubricating oil (make sure that it is not too viscous).

Turn the multifunction appliance upside down so that oil does not drip on the appliance. Lubricate the blade with a few drops of oil Fig.4.

Tum the appliance on for a few seconds so that the oil is distributed evenly along the entire blade. Then, using a dry cloth, eliminate any excess oil residues.

This procedure must be done on each of the heads fitted with blades.

We recommend repeating this procedure every two months or more often, depending on product use.

BLADE DURATION:

The duration of the blade varies based on usage frequency and times. Although correct maintenance is performed, if the cutting efficiency is compromised, contact the manufacturer to have the entire head replaced.
