8-Port Multi-Gigabit Switch, 2.5G, unmanaged

The 8-Port Multi-Gigabit Switch (4-Speed) from DIGITUS® provides 8 x RJ45 ports with 2.5 Gbps bandwidth each. Expand your existing network easily with the available backplane bandwidth of 40 Gbps. No configuration is required on the switch itself; thanks to auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, cables and speeds are also automatically detected. The switch can be used as a desktop variant or mounted on a wall with the included mounting accessories. Thanks to the external power adapter, the switch does not need a fan at all. Ideal for expanding / setting up small home or business networks with data rates of up to 2.5 Gbps - so even high workloads due to high-resolution streams or high data volumes are no problem.

5. Front and Back Panels

This device will work with all OS’ s because there is no configuration needed for this stand-alone device. This switch has auto MDI-X ports that will auto-sense the cable type that you are using for each port. The switch will then automatically change the polarity of the port as need to ensure a link with either a straight-through or crossover5 cable. Remember, if you have a link light then you are using the correct cable.
