Risk of burning! Do not touch the product's hot surfaces. Heat rises from the product during use. Caution! Hot surface!

  1. Do not operate the product by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
  2. This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  3. Children shall not play with the product.
  4. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  5. Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
  6. A damaged power cord may only be replaced by the manufacturer or a workshop commissioned by the manufacturer or by a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
  7. Warning! Danger of fire: Do not store items on the cooking surfaces.
  8. Warning! If the surface is cracked, switch off the product to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
  9. Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot.
  10. The product is designed for the preparation of normal household quantities in the home, or in household-like, non-commercial environments. Household-like environments include staff kitchens in shops, offices, agricultural and other small businesses or for use by guests at bed-and-breakfast establishments, small hotels and similar residential facilities.

  1. Read this user manual thoroughly before first use and pass it on with the product. Pay attention to the warnings on the product and in this user manual. It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the product.
  2. Use the product only for its intended purpose and with recommended accessories and components. Improper use or wrong operation may lead to hazards.
  3. Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.
  4. Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
  5. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
  6. Do not under any circumstances attempt to repair the product yourself (e.g. damaged power cord, product has been dropped, etc.). For servicing and repairs, please consult an authorised service agent.
  7. The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.
  8. Only unplugging from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.
  9. Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
  10. Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for such as, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.

INTENDED USE

This product is designed for heating and cooking foods with pots/saucepans. Any other use may result in damages to product or injuries.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE

During manufacturing, parts of the product (hotplate) are coated with a protective film. To remove production residue, run the product on MAX setting for approx. 3 minutes without pot/saucepan. Make sure there is sufficient ventilation as a slight odor and some smoke may occur. This is normal and will vanish shortly.

TIPS FOR CHOOSING POTS/SAUCEPANS

1 Only use pots/saucepans with flat bottom to prevent damage to the hotplate.
2 Use pots/saucepans that have close to the same diameter as the hotplate to minimize the loss of heat and prevent the hotplate from being damaged as a result of uneven heat distribution.

OPERATION

Warning! Glass top, use with care!

Do not drop heavy or hard objects on the glass cooktop, or they may crack it.

3 Place the product on an even, stable and heat resistant surface.
4 Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet.
5 Place a pot/saucepan on the hotplate.

Note: Ensure that the pot/saucepan is clean and dry on the outside. Do not plug in the product if there is no pot/saucepan placed on the hotplate.

6 Turn the thermostat knob to the desired setting.

7 The power indicator will shine while the hotplate is heating up. Once the pre-set level has been reached, it will go out.

Note: The indicator light will come on and off during use to keep the set heat level.

8 Turn the thermostat to MIN after use and unplug the product to it turn off.

Warning: Always unplug the product to ensure it is completely turned off.

CLEANING AND CARE

Warning! When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning materials and tools may scratch the surface(s).

9 Warning! Unplug the product and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
10 Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water or any other fluids during cleaning or operation.
11 Clean the product's exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly. Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch).

Note: Keep the product in a dry, cool location which is protected against moisture and direct sunlight. Keep this product out of the reach of children.
