We are delighted that you have chosen the MAXXMEE vibrating massage device.

You can now use this to relax and invigorate your feet & legs in two ways - at the touch of a button! To do this, place your feet on the vibrating plate and use the remote control to start your massage break while sitting down in comfort. What is good for your feet does of course also benefit your calves, which can also be accommodated comfortably on the vibrating massage device. You can choose from 3 programmes and 15 intensity levels to create your own individual massage experience, which you can enjoy in great comfort while watching television, reading, working at a computer and doing many other things.

Information About the Operating Instructions

Before using the device for the first time, please read through these operating instructions carefully and keep them for future reference and other users. They form an integral part of the device. The manufacturer and importer do not accept any liability if the information in these operating instructions is not complied with.

INTENDED USE

■ The device is intended for massaging and stimulating your feet and leg muscles and is used for relaxation.

■ The device is not designed for medical or therapeutic purposes.

■ The device may only be used by one person at a time.

■ The device is only suitable for use when sitting or lying down.

■ The device should not be used before going to sleep. The massage has a stimulating effect, which may lead to problems getting to sleep.

■ The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.

■ Use the device only for the specified purpose and as described in the operating instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

■ The warranty does not cover faults caused by incorrect handling, damage or attempted repairs. The same applies to normal wear and tear.

WHEN MAY THE DEVICE NOT BE USED?

■ Do not use the device if you have

• recent bone fractures;
• operation scars that have not yet healed;
• vein infl ammation, thromboses;
• swellings or acute infl ammation.

■ The following people may use the device only following consultation with a doctor:

o people who are fitted with a pacemaker or similar medical implants;
- people with heart disease or who suffer from epilepsy;
- people who have back complaints or spinal disorders;
o people who suffer from osteomyelitis, bone infl ammation (in particular if the spinal column is damaged) or from osteoporosis;
- women who are pregnant or have just given birth;
- people with physical abnormalities. The use should be discussed with a doctor if necessary.

SAFETY NOTICES

WARNING: Note all safety notices, instructions, illustrations and technical data provided with this device. Failure to follow the safety notices and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and / or injuries.

■ This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely and have understood the dangers resulting from failure to comply with the relevant safety precautions.

■ Children must not play with the device.

■ Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

■ Children younger than 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device and the connecting cable.

■ The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when it is not being used and before cleaning it.

■ Use the device only with the mains adapter supplied with it. Do not use the mains adapter with another device.

If the connecting cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced with a connecting cable which is approved for the device and is available from the manufacturer or its customer service department.

■ Do not make any modifications to the device. If the device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or customer service department or a similarly qualified person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.

DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock

■ Use and store the device only in closed rooms.
■ Do not use or store the device in rooms with high humidity.
■ Never immerse the device and the connecting cable in water or other liquids and ensure that these components cannot fall into water or become wet.
If the device does fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is connected to the mains power!
■ Never touch the device and the connecting cable with wet hands when these components are connected to the mains power.

WARNING – Danger of Fire

■ Do not operate the device in the vicinity of combustible material.
- Do not cover the device during operation in order to prevent it from catching fire.

■ Do not insert anything into the ventilation openings of the device and make sure that they do not become clogged.

WARNING – Danger of Injury

- Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of suffocation.

Danger of burns from battery acid!

- Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Batteries and the remote control should be kept out of the reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed, immediate medical attention must be sought. - If a battery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear protective gloves. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected areas with abundant clear water straight away and seek medical assistance immediately.

■ Make sure that the connecting cable does not present a trip hazard.

NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property

■ Switch off the device and pull the mains adapter out of the plug socket if an error occurs during operation or before a thunderstorm.
■ When you pull the mains adapter out of the plug socket, always pull on the mains adapter and never the mains cable!
■ Never pull or carry the device by the connecting cable.
■ Do not stand on the device so that it is not damaged.
■ Use only original accessories so that you do not interfere with the way the device works and to avoid possible damage.
■ Protect the device from heat, naked flames, sub-zero temperatures, persistent moisture, wet conditions, direct sunlight and impacts.

NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property from Batteries

■ Use only the battery type specified in the technical data.
■ Take the battery out of the remote control when it is dead or if you will not be using the device for a prolonged period. This will prevent any damage that might occur if a battery leaks.
■ Remove a dead battery from the remote control immediately.
■ The battery must not be charged or reactivated in any way, disassembled, thrown into a fire, immersed in liquids or short-circuited.

INSERTING / CHANGING THE BATTERY

The battery is secured in the remote control when the device is supplied: Pull the insulation strip out of the battery compartment of the remote control to activate the battery.

Before inserting the battery, check whether the contacts in the remote control and on the battery are clean, and clean them if necessary.

1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control: Use a coin or a similar object to twist the battery compartment cover anticlockwise (open lock symbol) and take it off.
2. If necessary remove any used battery and insert a new battery (3 V, CR2032 button cell) into the battery compartment. The positive pole must be facing upwards.
3. Insert the battery compartment cover and twist it clockwise to fi x it (closed lock symbol). You must feel it engage.
   Replace the battery if the power of the remote control starts to wane.

SET-UP AND CONNECTION

Please Note!

■ Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
■ Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.

- Place the device on a dry, flat and solid surface. If the device is used on a carpet, make sure that the ventilation openings on the bottom of the device remain clear.

Protect sensitive floor coverings on which the device is placed with a mat if necessary.

• Make sure that the silicone pads (2) are attached correctly.
• First connect the connecting cable to the connecting socket (5) of the device and then to a properly installed, easily accessible plug socket. The control lamp in the mains adapter lights up. The displays (8, 12) on the control panel (1) light up and a beep is heard. The device is ready.

PROGRAMMES

P1 – Vibration

Vibration level: 1 – 15 (adjustable)

Duration: 1 – 10 minutes (adjustable)

P2 – Vibration and massage

Vibration level: 1 - 15 (adjustable)

Duration: 1 – 10 minutes (adjustable)

P3 – Automatic programme alternates between 1 minute of vibration and 1 minute of vibration and massage. The vibration level is adjusted automatically.

Duration: 10 minutes

USE

Please Note!

■ A tingling sensation / itching during or after the massage is normal due to the circulation-boosting effect.
■ Never place your hands and feet between the frame and vibrating plate/massage heads while the device is in operation. There is a danger of crushing!
■ Do not stand, kneel, stamp or jump on the vibrating plates / massage heads to prevent injuries and damage to the device.
■ Do not use the device for longer than 15 minutes without a break.

Start with the slowest vibration level and gradually increase the level of intensity.

The device can be controlled both with and without the remote control. To make it easier to operate, we recommend using the remote control. It must be directed towards the receiver (10) of the device.

1. Switch on the device using the Button (6 or 19) on the control panel (1) or the remote control.
2. The device can be used either while sitting or lying down:

- Sitting down: Sit down on a chair, armchair or similar place in front of the device. Place your feet (without shoes on) on the vibrating plates (4).

- Lying down: Lie down in front of the device in such a way that your calves can be placed on the vibrating plates.

1. Select the programme you want (see the "Programmes" chapter) by pressing the button P (7 or 21) on the control panel or the remote control several times.

2. With P1 or P2, if you wish adjust the duration using the buttons + (13) or - (14) on the control panel or ⏻ (20) or ⏱ (16) on the remote control.

3. To start the device, press the ▶ START button (9) on the control panel or the I▶ button (18) on the remote control. The device then starts with the programme.
4. With P1 or P2, it is possible during the massage to adjust the vibration level using the buttons + or - on the control panel or ▲ (15) or ▼ (17) on the remote control.
5. The device stops automatically after the preset time has elapsed. However, it can be stopped manually at any time using the buttons ▶ on the remote control or ■ (11) on the device.
6. After the massage, pull the mains adapter out of the plug socket and the barrel connector out of the device.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

Please Note!

■ Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the device. These may damage the surfaces.

• Wipe down the device with a damp, soft cloth and a little mild cleaning agent if required. Then dry it thoroughly.
• If necessary, the silicone pads (2) can be taken off and cleaned under running water. Make sure that they are completely dry before they are placed back on the vibrating plates (4).
• Store the device in a dry, frost-free place that is protected from direct sunlight and cannot be accessed by children or animals.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps below, contact the customer service department.

Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!

The device does not work.

The connecting cable is not connected to the device or the plug socket correctly.

▶ Correct the fit of the two plugs.

The plug socket is defective.

▶ Try another plug socket.

There is no mains voltage.

▶ Check the fuse of the mains connection.

The device switches off before the set time has elapsed.

The device has been overloaded.

▶ Reduce the load and restart the programme.

The device does not react to the remote control.

The battery of the remote control is too weak.

▶ Replace the battery of the remote control.

There are obstructions between the device and remote control (no visual contact).

▶ Point the remote control directly at the device.

DISPOSAL

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so that it can be recycled.

The battery should be removed before disposing of the remote control and disposed of separately from the device at suitable collection points.

This device is governed by the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Do not dispose of this device as normal domestic waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via an officially approved waste disposal company.
