What types of paint can I use with the StandardSpray?

You can use solvent-based paints and water-thinned paints, as well as strippers, stains, impregnations, oils, varnishes, lacquers, anti-rust paints, and effect paints. However, interior wall paints and highly abrasive, acidic, or alkaline products are not suitable.

Can I spray interior wall paint with the StandardSpray?

No, interior wall paints (water-based or solvent-based) are not applicable with this removable front part. Use the WallSpray front part (white) recommended for this type of product instead.

How to assemble the StandardSpray removable front part onto the spray gun?

Insert the removable front part into the handle of the spray gun aligning the two arrows. Then turn the handle in the direction of the arrow until you hear a click. To remove it, push the lock under the trigger downwards and turn the front part.

How to adjust the spray width and orientation?

Use the spray width adjustment lever (part 2) and the vertical/horizontal spray adjustment ring (part 3). Consult the base unit's instruction manual for more details on spraying technique.

How to clean the spray gun after use?

Empty the container and rinse it with the appropriate solvent (water or thinner depending on the product used). Clean the nozzle, air cap, and filter. Follow the recommendations of the coating manufacturer.

Can I use non-Wagner accessories with the StandardSpray?

Using accessories or spare parts other than Wagner may void liability and warranty. Wagner accessories are guaranteed to comply with safety regulations.

Where can I find spare parts for the StandardSpray?

What to do if spraying is uneven?

Check that the product is properly thinned and filtered. Clean the nozzle and suction filter. Make sure the container is adequately filled and the suction tube is not blocked. Consult the base unit's instruction manual.

How to maintain the O-ring and moving parts?

Use Wagner lubricating grease (ref. 2315 539) to lubricate the O-ring and moving parts after cleaning. This ensures good sealing and long-lasting operation.

What is the minimum flash point of usable products?

Products with a flash point below 21 °C must not be used with the StandardSpray. Always follow the safety instructions of the product manufacturer.

Translation of the original operating instructions

Before using the attachment, read these operating instructions and familiarise yourself with the operating instructions for the basic unit. The safety instructions for the basic unit apply to this StandardSpray spray attachment.

The StandardSpray spray attachment was developed for applying water-soluble paints and lacquers as well as paints and lacquers containing solvents. The StandardSpray spray attachment can be used with all devices with the CLICK&PAINT SYSTEM.

Coating materials suitable for use

Solvent-based and water-soluble lacquer paints

Mordants, glazes, impregnations, oils, clear varnishes, synthetic enamels, coloured paints, alkyd resin varnishes, primers, radiator paints, hammer effect enamels, anti-rust paints, special-effect paints, textured paints

Coating materials not suitable for use

Interior wall paint (dispersions and latex paint)

Materials that contain highly abrasive components, facade paint, caustic solutions and acidic coating substances.

Materials with a flash point below 21^

Preparing the coating material

Observe the manufacturer's instructions for the use of the coating material on the paint tin or on the technical instruction sheet.

An absolute precondition for the trouble-free operation of the fine-spray system is that the coating material is uncontaminated. If you have doubts as to the purity of the coating material, we recommend that you first filter it through a fine sieve.

Assembly

For assembly, insert the spray attachment into the gun handle so that the two arrows point at each other. Turn the gun handle 90^ in the arrow direction until it audibly engages. (Fig. 1)

To remove the spray attachment, push the catch (Fig. 1, A) beneath the trigger down and turn the spray attachment by 90^ .

For further information on setting the spray pattern and the correct spraying technique refer to the instructions of the basic device.
