1. Capacity quick test: Residual capacity is determined

before charging begins and displayed for 5 seconds

2. Gentle pre-charging: Weak or deeply discharged battery

is pre-charged with lower current if necessary

NORMAL CHARGING PROCESS CHARGING PROCESS WITH

PRE-DISCHARGE *1 Connect the charger to an electrical outlet. Insert the battery into the charging slot with the correct polarity (see engraving in the charging slot). The product displays the charge status of the battery for 5 seconds and then automatically starts the charging process. Press the Discharge button. Pre-discharge starts for all inserted round cells After all round cells have been discharged, the charging process starts automatically. As soon as a battery is fully charged, the charger switches to trickle charge. You can now remove the fully charged battery. After all batteries have been removed, disconnect the product from the power supply. *1 Discharge function only for round cells NOTE: It is not necessary to discharge batteries before each charge. We recommend pre-discharging after approx. 10 charging processes to prevent the lazy-battery effect, which reduces the discharge voltage of batteries. CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning Disconnect the power supply to the product and remove all batte- ries before cleaning. Only use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth for cleaning (if necessary, add a little mild washing-up liquid). Never use abrasives or solvents for cleaning. The "waste bin" symbol indicates that, in the EU, it is not permitted to dispose of electrical equipment in household waste. Use the return and collection systems in your area or contact the retailer from whom you purchased the product. Batteries and rechargeable batteries are special waste and shall not be disposed of in the normal household waste. Al- ways hand used batteries and rechargeable batteries in to the collection point intended for this. In this way you will fulfil your legal obligations and contribute to environmental protection.
