Frequently Asked Questions - AMP4000 DAB Auna

How to connect my smartphone via Bluetooth?
To pair, activate Bluetooth on your smartphone, then on the device select the source BT. The screen displays a flashing 'BT'. In your phone's device list, choose AMP-4000 DAB. If a code is requested, enter 0000. A steady blue light confirms the connection.
How to perform a DAB station search?
Select the source DAB using the SOURCE button. Hold down the SCAN button (or PLAY/PAUSE/DAB SCAN) to start automatic search. The screen displays 'Scanning XXX%'. Once complete, the first available station is played. Use PREV / NEXT to browse stations.
Why is there no sound even though the device is on?
First check that the volume is not at minimum (MASTER VOL). Ensure speakers are correctly connected to the corresponding terminals (respect polarity + and -). Also verify that the selected source is actually outputting a signal (e.g., BT, USB, etc.). If the problem persists, try turning the power off and on.
How to adjust the volume per zone?
Press the ZONE button on the front panel several times to select the desired zone (Z1 to Z4). Then turn the MULTI knob to adjust the volume for that zone. You can also use the remote with the Z1/Z2 or Z3/Z4 keys and +/- for volume.
How to reset the device in case of malfunction?
Disconnect the mains power cord for at least 30 seconds, then reconnect. If the problem persists, perform a factory reset (if available) via the menu. Refer to the manual for the exact procedure. Do not open the housing: no user-serviceable parts inside.
What type of antenna to use for DAB/FM radio?
The device comes with a dedicated DAB/FM antenna. For optimal reception, fully extend it and place it high, away from sources of interference. If the signal is weak, you can use an appropriate outdoor antenna (not supplied).
How to play music from a USB flash drive?
Insert the USB flash drive formatted in FAT32 into the front USB port. Select the USB source with the SOURCE button. Playback starts automatically. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, NEXT and PREV keys to control playback.
What to do if the remote control does not work?
Check the batteries: insert two new AAA batteries respecting polarity. Point the remote at the front IR sensor (indicated by a light). Remove any obstacles between the remote and the sensor. If the problem persists, test the remote with a digital camera to see if it emits infrared.
How to clean the device?
Always unplug the device before cleaning. Use a soft dry cloth to dust the housing. For stubborn stains, lightly dampen the cloth with water and wring it well. Never use solvents, alcohol or abrasive products which could damage the surface. Avoid liquid entering the interior.
What are the essential safety precautions?
Do not open the housing: risk of electric shock. Do not expose the device to water, rain or humidity. Maintain a minimum distance of 8 cm around the device for ventilation. Do not place objects containing liquid (vase, drink) on the device. In case of anomaly (damaged cord, smell, smoke), unplug immediately and contact a qualified professional.

How to increase the volume of the Surround zones on the Auna AMP4000 DAB?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/24/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The Auna AMP4000 DAB has 4 independent zones (Z1 to Z4) with individual volume control. Zones 3 and 4 are typically used for surround speakers. Here’s how to increase their volume:

Via the front panel

  • Press the ZONE button on the front of the device to select zone 3 or zone 4 (your Surround zones)
  • Turn the MULTI knob to increase the volume of that zone
  • Repeat for the other surround zone if necessary

Via the remote control

  • Press the Z3/Z4 button to select the desired zone
  • Use the +/- buttons to increase or decrease the volume

Each zone has its own speaker output with 2 screw terminals (impedance 6-16 Ω). For optimal positioning of the surround speakers, place them about 2 meters above the floor, behind your listening area.

Respond (be the first)
Why is the right speaker connected to the same amplifier not producing any sound?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/24/2026
Response Notice-Facile

This problem usually occurs when the right speaker is not properly configured or connected. Here are the checks to perform on your Auna AMP4000 DAB:

1. Check the terminal connections

The Auna AMP4000 DAB has 4 zones, each with 2 terminal clips for the speakers. Make sure that:

  • The cables of the right speaker are properly inserted into the terminal clips (clips must be tightly secured)
  • The cables are not detached or partially inserted
  • The terminals themselves are not damaged or blocked

2. Check the polarity of the cables

The impedance must be between 6 and 16 Ω. Also check the polarity by following the color code:

  • Red (+) cable connected to the positive terminal
  • Black (-) cable connected to the negative terminal

A reversal of polarity will prevent the speaker from functioning properly.

3. Check the channel balance

Access the balance settings via the MENU button and the MULTI knob. Ensure that the balance control is not completely shifted to the left, which would prevent the right channel from producing sound.

4. Check the zone volume

Press the ZONE button (front panel) to select the zone corresponding to your right speaker (Z1 to Z4), then adjust the volume with the MULTI knob. You can also use the Z1/Z2 or Z3/Z4 buttons on the remote control with the +/- to increase the volume.

After these checks: turn off the device, leave it for 10 seconds, then turn it back on. Test the sound with a different source (DAB radio, auxiliary, or Bluetooth) to see if the problem persists.

Respond (be the first)
Should the left and right speakers of the same pair be connected to the same zone or to different zones?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/24/2026
Response Notice-Facile

No, a pair of stereo speakers (left and right) must always be connected to the same zone.

The Auna AMP4000 DAB has 4 independent zones (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4), each equipped with its own speaker outputs with individual volume control. Each zone has speaker terminals with a required impedance of 6-16 Ω.

Correct Configuration

  • Connect the left speaker to the left terminals of the same zone
  • Connect the right speaker to the right terminals of that same zone

The 4 zones are used to connect different pairs of speakers in different rooms (for example: Zone 1 in the living room, Zone 2 in the kitchen, Zone 3 in the bedroom, Zone 4 in the office).

Why no separation

If you connected the left speaker to one zone and the right to another, you would lose the stereo effect in the first zone and the audio would be out of sync. Also, make sure that the polarity of the cables is correct (connect “+” to “+” and “-” to “-”) to avoid sound distortion.

How to connect external speakers to the Auna AMP4000 DAB?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/24/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The Auna AMP4000 DAB has 4 independent zones (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4), each equipped with terminal blocks to accommodate a pair of stereo speakers. Here’s how to proceed:

Wiring Steps

  • Turn off the device before connecting the speakers
  • Check the impedance of your speakers: they must be between 6 and 16 Ω
  • Observe the polarity: connect the red cable (+) to the positive terminal and the black (-) to the negative terminal of each block. Reversing them causes sound distortion
  • Connect one stereo pair per zone: the left and right speakers of the same pair must be connected to the same zone (Z1, Z2, Z3, or Z4) to maintain the stereo effect
  • Isolate the bare wires: ensure that the exposed wires do not touch each other or contact any metal parts of the device
  • Turn the amplifier back on

You can independently manage the volume of each zone using the provided infrared remote control. Also, make sure to maintain at least 8 cm of space around the device and not block the ventilation openings.
