- Introduction

Congratulations on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high-quality product. The assembly instructions and instructions for use are a part of this product. They contain important information about safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all the instructions for use and safety notes. The product must only be used as described and for the specified applications. When passing this product on to others, please be sure to include all documentation.

Intendeduse

The product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The remote control is only suitable for indoor use. This product is a decorative item. It is intended to decorate branches. It is not a toy! Keep this product out of the reach of children and animals! This product is only intended for private use. Only use the product as described in the assembly instructions and

instructions for use. Any other use is considered improper. The product is suitable for temperatures of -15 ^ to 23 ^ .

You have purchased a product with LEDs. The average lighting duration using the included batteries is approx. 150 hours when set to medium brightness and continuous lighting indoors, depending on the light function selected (constant or flickering mode). Cold temperatures negatively impact battery life.

There is a risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging mate-the reach of children and away from animals.

This product may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge, so long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the product and understand the associated risks. Do not allow children to play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.

■ Batteries may prove life-threatening if swallowed! For this reason, store batteries and the product out of reach of children. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical help immediately.

If a battery is leaking, avoid contact between battery acid and skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of contact with battery acid, thoroughly flush out the affected area immediately with clean water and seek immediate medical attention.

Handling batteries correctly

Before inserting batteries, check whether the candle, remote control and battery contacts are clean. If necessary, clean them with a dry cloth.
■ Only use the battery type specified in the technical data.
■ Always replace all batteries. Never use different types of batteries, different brands of batteries or batteries with different capacities. When changing batteries ensure the polarity (+/-) is correct (see also the imprint on the candles and in the battery compartment of the remote control).
■ Remove the batteries from the product and the remote control if they are drained or if the product will not be used for an extended period. In this way you avoid damages caused by leaking batteries.
WEAR SAFETY GLOVES! Exhausted or damaged

batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause caustic burns upon contact with the skin. Therefore wear suitable protective gloves in this case.

The batteries must not be charged or reactivated via another means, must not be taken apart, thrown into fire, submerged in water or short-circuited.

Handling the product correctly

• Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures, severe temperature fluctuations, direct sunlight or damp.
  ■ The product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

■ The remote control is only suitable for indoor use.
- Keep sufficient distance from sources of heat e.g. stoves, ovens or fireplaces.
- Do not drop the product and do not subject it to extreme blows.
■ Make sure that the product cannot fall into water.
- Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the product. Dust the product with a soft, dry cloth. Heavier dirt can be wiped off with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the product in its original packaging out of the reach of children and animals in a dry, clean place protected from direct sunlight.
If the product is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Contact customer service if damaged.
■ Only use a remote control recommended by the manufacturer to switch the product on/off.
The light's illuminant is not replaceable. The entire light needs to be replaced if the illuminant reaches the end of its service life.

- Before first use

1. Unpack the product and accessories. Check that the delivery is complete using the delivery list, and check for possible damage caused by transport. If you should notice any damage caused by transport, do not (!) use the product. Consult customer services immediately. Retain the packaging to store the product in when it is not in use.
2. Insert the batteries 3 in the candles 1 (see section "Inserting/ replacing batteries", paragraph "Candles").
3. Insert the remaining two batteries 3 into the remote control 6 (see section "Inserting/replacing batteries", paragraph "Remote control").

- Inserting / replacing batteries

Candles

1. Open the candles 1 by unscrewing them from the clips 4 anti-clockwise and then removing them.
2. Remove any old batteries from the battery compartment (candle) 2 and replace each one with a new 1.5 V battery, type AAA, inserting batteries into the candles 1 with the positive pole first (see imprint on candles).
3. Place the clips 4 back on the candles 1 and screw them tight by turning clockwise. Pay attention to the sealing ring when doing this, as otherwise IP protection for the candles cannot be guaranteed.

Note: The candles will light up as soon as the battery has been inserted.

Remote control

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control 6.
2. Remove any old batteries from the battery compartment (remote control) 5 and insert two new 1.5 V batteries, type AAA, into the remote control 6. Ensure the polarity is correct (+/-).
3. Replace the battery compartment cover on the battery compartment (remote control) 5 and slide it shut until it locks into place.

- Installation

☐ Fasten the clips 4 to the branches of your Christmas tree as you wish. Using the ball joint in the clip 4 you can angle the candles 1 as you wish.

☐ In doing so, be careful that the clip 4 is not unscrewed from the candle 1 again!

- Use

Turn the candles 1 on using the ON button 7

Note: The candles will light up as soon as the battery has been inserted.

You have two options here:

- If you just press the ON button 7 quickly, the candles will light up constantly. Note: The product has an integrated memory function. This means that the brightness settings are saved for continuous light until the brightness is manually changed, the lighting mode is changed or the battery is replaced.

- If you hold down the ON button 7 for approx. 3 seconds, the candles will go into flickering mode.

You can revert back to continuous light at any time by briefly pressing the ON button 7.

□Usingthe6H button 9 you can switch the candles to 6 hour mode:

- UsetheON button 7 to switch the candles to either continuous or flickering mode.

- Then press the 6H button 9. The candles will turn themselves off after 6 hours.

☐ Using the +/- buttons 8 you can increase or decrease the brightness when candles are in continuous mode. This setting is only possible for the continuous function.

□UsetheRGB button 11 to switch to the RGB function. The light of the candles 1 will now constantly change colour. You can switch back to normal continuous light at any time by briefly pressing the ON button 7.

Turn the candles off using the OFF button 10

ATTENTION!

If individual candles 1 do not turn on or off or will not change mode, check the orientation of the candles 1 and the remote control 6: To ensure perfect operation it is important that there is "visual contact" between all candles 1 and the remote control 6.

☐ Observe the different durations for which you have to hold down the ON button 7 according to your desired light mode (see above).

- Troubleshooting

If (individual) candles 1 do not respond to the remote control 6, please check the following:

Are batteries inserted in candles and the remote control?
Are batteries too weak or have they been incorrectly inserted?
Are the candles within the range of the remote control?

Is there "visual contact" between the candles and the remote control?

To ensure perfect operation it is important that there is “visual contact” between all candles and the remote control. Arrange the candles in the branches of the Christmas tree and/or choose another location, from which you can control the lights with the remote control. Bear in mind the range of the remote control. This is approx. 5 m. Press the ON7, RGB 11 or OFF button 10 again, according to whether you want to switch the candles on, change mode, or switch them off.

☐ If individual candles still do not turn on, check that the candle is properly attached to the clip 4.

- Cleaning

• Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the product.
  ☐ Dust the product with a soft, dry cloth.
  ☐ Heavier dirt can be wiped off with a slightly damp cloth.

- Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and fibreboard/80–98: composite materials.

The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

Do not dispose of electrical equipment in the household waste!

In accordance with the European Directive 2012/19/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its translation into national law,

used electrical equipment must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally responsible way.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Please contact your municipality for information on collection facilities and their opening hours.

Faulty or used batteries/rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries/rechargeable batteries!

Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.

- Warranty and service

Note: This product includes a 36-month warranty from the date of purchase. The product has been manufactured with care and thoroughly inspected prior to delivery. However, if defects in manufacturing or material arise during the warranty period, please contact your retailer immediately.

The warranty does not cover damages due to improper handling, failure to comply with the assembly instructions and instructions for use, or manipulation by unauthorised persons. Most malfunctions are caused by incorrect operation. Therefore, please first refer to the assembly instructions and instructions for use if a malfunction occurs.

Please contact Uni-Elektra GmbH customer service before returning products. The product may only be returned to us after contacting us. Shipments that are sent carriage forward will not be accepted. The performance of services under the warranty does not extend or restart the warranty period of 36 months.
