Frequently Asked Questions - Jet Pressing Pro 5b Di4

How to fill the water tank?
Locate the release latch on the lower front of the water tank and push it upward to release the tank. Place the tank under a faucet and fill it without exceeding the MAX level. Then slide it back into its compartment until it clicks.
Why is water coming out of the soleplate?
This can happen during first use or after a period of inactivity: condensation has formed in the pipes. Do not direct steam onto the garment until the iron emits steam properly. Also make sure the soleplate is hot enough.
How to descale the boiler?
Turn off the steam generator, unplug it, remove the tank. Place the unit at the edge of a sink, remove the rinse cap using a coin, fill the boiler with tap water, shake, empty, and repeat twice. Screw the cap back on. Perform this rinse once a month or every 10 uses.
What to do if little or no steam comes out?
Check that the water tank is not empty. Refill if necessary. Also ensure the generator is on and the temperature is high enough (the heating indicator turns off). If the problem persists, scale may be blocking the openings; perform a boiler rinse.
Can I use distilled or demineralized water?
The appliance is designed for tap water. Never use 100% distilled or demineralized water, nor rainwater, scented water, or water from other appliances. If your water is hard, mix tap water and distilled water in a ratio of 2:1 (hard) or 1:1 (medium-hard).
How to use the vertical steam function?
Hold the iron in a vertical position. Set the steam flow to MAX for maximum steam. Press the push button to direct steam onto hanging garments. Caution: never direct steam at a person or a worn garment.
What to do if the soleplate is dirty or has brown stains?
The ironing temperature is probably too high. Reduce the temperature by turning the dial. Clean the ceramic soleplate with a damp, non-metallic pad. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
How to replace the anti-scale cartridge?
Remove the water tank, then take out the cartridge. Unscrew the top part: inside there are two filters and a resin bag. Replace these if dirty. Screw back, reinsert the cartridge and the tank. Change the cartridge every 3 to 6 months depending on water hardness.
Why are white debris coming out of the iron's openings?
This is due to scale buildup in the boiler. Rinse the boiler as indicated in the manual and check the anti-scale filter. Perform regular rinses to avoid this issue.
How to adjust the temperature for different fabrics?
Use the temperature control dial. Refer to the ironing guide table in the manual: for acrylic, nylon, polyester, dry iron on the reverse side; for wool, steam iron on the reverse side; for cotton and linen, steam iron; for denim, MAX position.

  • For woollen garments, press the steam trigger repeatedly over the garment without physically touching it with the iron.
  • For thicker fabrics, raise the steam output by turning the steam control dial to the right.
  • For low temperature setting on the dial, reduce the steam level by turning the steam control dial to the left.

VERTICAL STEAM IRONING

This feature allows you to smooth out creases in garments or drapery in a similar manner to a garment steamer. The high steam pressure of the Steam Station can provide bursts of steam while holding the iron vertically. For best results, utilise on delicate or light fabrics. To produce the maximum amount of steam, set the steam setting to MAX. Only direct steam at hanging garments in a safe area and ensure you always refer to garment manufacturer recommendations.

When running low on water, the Steam Station will stop emitting steam even if you press the steam trigger, and the low water indicator light will flash red.
