This appliance is intended exclusively for use in domestic households. Not for commercial use! It is not intended for any other use or for uses extending beyond those stated. LKTL 3 A1 CAUTION – BATTERIES! Safety information for handling batteries: ► Do not throw batteries into a fi re. Do not recharge bat- teries. Risk of explosions and injuries! ► Never open batteries and never solder or weld batteries. Risk of explosions and injuries! ► Check the condition of the batteries at regular intervals. Leaking batteries can cause damage to the appliance. ► If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period, remove the batteries. ► If the batteries have leaked, use protective gloves. Clean the battery compartment and the battery contacts with a dry cloth. ► Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children might put batteries into their mouth and swallow them. If a battery is swallowed, medical assistance must be sought immediately. CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE! ► To avoid damage, do not allow liquids to penetrate the appliance and do not submerge it in water. ► Ensure that no foreign objects penetrate the appliance. LKTL 3 A1 Unpacking ■ Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the box. ■ Remove all packaging material from the appliance and the batteries. WARNING ► Packaging materials should not be used as a plaything. There is a risk of suff ocation. Inserting/exchanging batteries

1) Remove the screw 3 on the underside of the appliance using a Philips screwdriver.

2) Remove the battery compartment cover 4.

3) For exchanging the batteries only: Remove dead batteries from the battery com-

5) Close the battery compartment cover 4 and screw the screw 3 back in.

Function ■ When you press the activation handle 1, the animal’s mouth opens, the LED 5 lights up and an animal noise can be heard from the speaker 2. ■ When you let go of the activation handle 1, the mouth closes, the LED 5 goes out and the animal noise, if it can still be heard, stops. LKTL 3 A1 Cleaning/maintenance CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE! ► Do not use abrasive, chemical or caustic cleaning agents to clean this appliance. These can damage the sur face of the appliance. ■ Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth. ■ The children’s torch is maintenance free! The LED 5 is not r eplaceable and does not require maintenance. Disposal Disposal of the appliance Never dispose of the appliance in normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EU (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Dispose of the appliance via an approved disposal company or your municipal waste facility. Please observe the currently applicable regulations. Please contact your waste disposal centre if you are in any doubt. NOTE ► Before disposing of the appliance it is essential to remove the batteries fi rst. Disposal of batteries Used batteries may not be disposed of in the household waste. All con- sumers are statutorily required to dispose of batteries at a collection point provided by their local community or at a retail store. The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that batteries are disposed of in a non-polluting manner. Only dispose of batteries when they are fully discharged. LKTL 3 A1 Appendix Notes on the Declaration of Conformity With regard to conformity with essential requirements and other relevant provisions, this appliance complies with the guidelines of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2004/108/EC and the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC. The full original Declaration of Conformity is available from the importer. Warranty The warranty provided for this appliance is 3 years from the date of purchase. This appliance has been manufactured with care and inspected meticulously prior to delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, please contact your Customer Service by telephone. This is the only way to guarantee free return of your goods. NOTE ► The warranty applies only to claims for material and manufacturing de- fects, not for tr ansport damage, wearing parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g. bulbs or switches. This appliance is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The warranty is deemed void if this product has been subjected to improper or inap- propriate handling, abuse or modifi cations which were not carried out by one of our authorised service centres. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs made under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking, or no later than two days after the date of purchase.
