Getting started:
- Open the battery compartment cover
- Insert 3 x AA size batteries(not included) while observing correct polarity [^+^+ and “-” marks]
- Replace the battery compartment cover
- The unit can be placed onto any flat surface by stand; or wall mounted by the hanging hole at the back of the unit.
Time and alarm setting
Radio-controlled time:
After batteries inserted, the clock automatically starts to scan the DCF time signal. Radio Control Icon " flashes on the LCD.

- The clock automatically receives the time signal at 2.00am & 3.00 a.m. every day to maintain accurate timing. If reception stops if no signal was received successfully (“ 串 on LCD disappear)
- The clock can be set to scan the time signal manually by holding “ ” button (B6) for 3 seconds. Each reception takes about 5 minutes.

Manual time setting:
- In time display, hold the "TIME SET" button for around 2 seconds to enter to clock/calendar setting mode.
- Press “▲” or “▼” button to adjust the setting and press “TIME SET” button to confirm each setting. Keep the “▼” or “▲” button pressed to accelerate the setting process and reach the desired value more quickly.

The setting sequence is: 12/24 hour time format -> time zone -> hour -> minute -> second -> year -> month -> date -> temperature unit -> weekday language
8 languages can be selected as weekday, they are: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Danish and Russian -
The languages and their selected abbreviations for each day of the week are shown in the following table:

Notes:
- The time zone feature is used for the countries where can receive the DCF-77 time signal but the time zone is different from the German time.
- When the country time ahead of the German time by 1 hour, the zone should be set to +1 . Then the clock will automatically set 1 hour faster from the signal time received.

Alarm setting:
- Press the "ALARM SET" button to select to view the alarm time (AL1, AL2, AL3, AL4) the corresponded alarm icon " ” or “ ” or “ ” or “ ” would flash.
- When viewing the alarm time, hold "ALARM SET" button to enter the setting of alarm time, press "▲" or "▼" button to adjust the alarm time, press "ALARM SET" button to confirm the setting. Setting sequence is alarm hour, alarm minute.
- Press "AL 1 2 ON/OFF "button to activate the alarm 1 or 2. When alarm is activated, alarm icon " " or " " shown on the display
- Press "AL 3 4 ON/OFF "button to activate the alarm 3 or 4. When alarm is activated, alarm icon " " or " " shown on the display
- Press "SNOOZE" button when alarm alerts. The alarm snoozes for around 5 minutes, then it alerts again. Alarm icon flashes on the LCD during the snooze time. This process can be repeated 7 times.
Except "SNOOZE" button, press any buttons to stop the alarm. Otherwise, the alarm signal sounds for about 2 minutes, then stops automatically.
Temperature
After start-up the clock will measure the current temperature automatically.
- The temperature measurement range is -9.9^ to +50^ . If the temperature is out of the measurable range, LL.L (beyond the minimum temperature) or HH.H (beyond the maximum
temperature) will be shown on the LCD.
Reset
- If the unit shows values that are obviously incorrect, you can reset it the unit.
- To reset the unit, take a pointed object and insert it into the RESET opening.

Environmental reception effects
The clock obtains the accurate time with wireless technology. Same as all wireless devices, the reception is maybe affected by the following circumstances:
- long transmitting distance
- nearby mountains and valleys
- near freeway, railway, airports, high voltage cable etc.
- near construction site
among tall buildings - inside concrete buildings
- near electrical appliances (computers, TV's, etc) and metallic structures
- inside moving vehicles
Place the clock at a location with optimal signal, i.e. close to a window and away from metal surfaces or electrical appliances.
Precautions
- This main unit is intended to be used only indoors.
- Do not subject the unit to excessive force or shock.
- Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, dust or humidity.
- Do not immerse in water.
- Avoid contact with any corrosive materials.
- Do not dispose this unit in a fire as it may explode.
- Do not open the inner back case or tamper with any components of this unit.
Batteries safety warnings
- Use only alkaline batteries, not rechargeable batteries.
Install batteries correctly by matching the polarities (+ / - ) - Always replace a complete set of batteries.
- Never mix used and new batteries.
- Remove exhausted batteries immediately.
- Remove batteries when not in use.
- Do not recharge and do not dispose of batteries in fire as the batteries may explode.
- Ensure batteries are stored away from metal objects as contact may cause a short circuit.
- Avoid exposing batteries to extreme temperature or humidity or direct sunlight.
- Keep all batteries out of reach from children. They are a choking hazard.
Use the product only for its intended purpose!

Old batteries do not belong to domestic waste because they could cause damages of health and environment. You can return used batteries free of charge to your dealer and collection points. As end-user you are committed by law to bring back needed batteries to distributors and other collecting points!
Consideration of duty according to the law of electrical devices
This symbol means that you must dispose of electrical devices separated from the General household waste when it reaches the end of its useful life. Take your unit to your local waste collection point or recycling centre. This applies to all countries of the European Union, and to other European countries with a separate waste collection system.
