INTENDED USE
This device is designed as a sleeping aid and is only suitable for private use indoors.
The device is not suitable for commercial use in practices or therapies. The sleeping aid is not a medical device.
SAFETY
- Children must not play with the device.
- The device contains a lithium-ion battery. Avoid dismantling, throwing into fire or short-circuiting the battery. Risk of explosion! Protect the built-in battery from excessive heat. The battery is firmly installed in the device and cannot and must not be replaced or removed. Improper removal of the battery may result in a risk of explosion. If the battery is defective, contact the service centre or a specialist workshop.
DANGER FOR CHILDREN
- Keep packaging material away from children. There is a risk of choking if swallowed.
DANGER FROM ELECTRICITY
- Do not make any modifications to the item. Only allow repairs to be carried out at a specialist workshop, since inexpertly repaired devices can present hazards to the user.

Do not open the housing and do not insert any objects into the housing apertures.

Do not place any containers filled with liquids on or near the device. The container may tip over and the leaking fluid may adversely affect the electrical safety.
BEWARE OF MATERIAL DAMAGE
- Protect the sleeping aid from strong impacts, shocks, direct sunlight, dirt and high humidity.
- Do not make any changes to the item. Only allow repairs to be carried out by a specialist workshop. Repairs carried out improperly can considerably endanger the user.
- Never place the sleeping aid on or near hot surfaces (for example, hot plates, etc.).
- Never expose the sleeping aid to a high temperature (heating, etc.) or adverse weather conditions (rain, etc.).
- Do not place any objects on the device.
- The device has rubber feet. Since surfaces are made from different materials and treated with different care products, it cannot be completely ruled out that some of these substances contain ingredients that may adversely affect and soften the material of the rubber feet. If necessary, place a non-slip pad underneath the device.
Use only original accessories. - Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents, abrasives, hard sponges, etc. for cleaning.
WARRANTY
The company Waagen-Schmitt GmbH guarantees for 2 years from the purchase date the cost-free rectification of defects on the basis of material or fabrication errors through repair or exchange.
In the event of a warranty claim, please return the product with the proof of purchase (specifying the reason for claim) to your dealer.

Waagen-Schmitt GmbH hereby declares that the SNU 1900 sleeping aid complies with EU directives 2014/30/EU and 2011/65/EU.
This declaration will lose its validity if any modification is made to the scale without our consent.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
- Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the USB socket on the device and to the USB socket on a computer (PC, tablet, laptop) or a USB charger.
The red control light indicates the charging process:
Flashes: Battery is charging
Glows steadily: Battery is fully charged
Pay attention to the following:
- The charging time during initial operation is approx. 1.5 hours.
- When the battery is fully charged, an operating time is approx. 6 hours.
ABOUT THE SLEEPING AID
The device has functions that can help you relax and fall asleep:
Different natural sounds and noises.
- A light that is projected onto the ceiling and visually simulates the human breath. Adjust your breath to the light to calm down and relax.
- Both functions can be combined.
USE
POWER ON/OFF
The main switch is located on the underside of the device.
- Use the on/off switch to switch the sleeping aid on (ON) and off (OFF).
PLAYING DOWN NATURAL SOUNDS AND NOISES
- Switch on the device.
- Press and hold down for approx. 2 seconds.
- Select the desired sound icon.

4.Use to set the desired volume.
- To stop sound playback, press and hold down for approx. 2 seconds.
USING THE FALL-ASLEEP LIGHT
For this function, it must be as dark as possible in the room.
- Switch on the device.
- Press and hold down for approx. 2 seconds.
-A blue and slightly quaking image will be projected onto the ceiling.
- The rhythm in which the light fades in becomes increasingly longer.
- Keep your eyes open and try to inhale and exhale in time with the light.

The light fades in.
-Inhale.

The light fades out.
—Exhale.
- To switch off the light, press and hold down for approx. 2 seconds.
USING THE SLEEP TIMER (AUTO OFF)
The natural sounds/noises or the light or both will switch off automatically after a selected time period.
- Switch on the desired functions (sound and/or light).

- Select the desired time period: 10, 30 or 60 (minutes).
- After the set time has elapsed, the device switches off automatically.

To switch off the device before the selected time has elapsed, press ⑥ or ⑧ or both buttons (depending on the selected function).

Please note: Activate the sleep timer AGAIN by brief tapping each time you switch on the sleep aid, even if the timer display is already lit.
CLEANING

NOTE on material damage

Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
-
Do not under any circumstances use harsh, scouring or abrasive cleaning agents or the like to clean the scale. Otherwise, the surface could be scratched.
-Wipe clean the device with a slightly damp cloth, if necessary.

This device contains a battery that is permanently installed for safety reasons and cannot be removed without destroying the housing. Improper dismantling entails a safety risk.
