Before first use
Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
Wipe the cooking plate with a damp cloth.
Place the base 4 on a heat-resistant and level surface.
Place the cooking plate 1 on the base 4 so that it sits firmly and stably.
- Connect the plug ② to the power supply. The red "Power" control lamp ⑦ lights up.
NOTE
- When you turn the temperature control ⑤ to 0, the green control lamp "Ready" ⑥ lights up. This allows you to check whether the green control lamp "Ready" ⑥ is working. The appliance will not heat up when the control is in this position.
Set the temperature control 5 to MAX and allow the appliance to heat up for about 10 minutes. The red and green control lamps 6/7 light up.
NOTE
During first use, you may notice a small amount of smoke and a slight odour. This is due to production residue. This is completely normal and harmless. Provide sufficient ventilation by opening a window, for example.
Turn the temperature control 5 to 0 and remove the plug 2 from the mains socket. The indicator lamps 6/7 go out.

Making crépes
CAUTION - RISK OF FIRE!
- You should therefore never locate the appliance close to or underneath in-flammable objects, especially not under curtains or suspended cupboards.
1) Insert the plug ② into a wall socket. The red "Power" control lamp ⑦ lights up.
2) Adjust the temperature regulator 5 to the desired temperature level. The higher the temperature level, the darker the crêpes will be. Wait until the green control lamp "Ready" lights up. This shows that the appliance has heated up.
3) Add approximately one ladle of batter to the middle of the cooking plate 1.
NOTE
- You can adjust the browning level of the crêpe using the temperature control ⑤ or by varying the cooking time.
To work out the right amount of batter, add enough batter to the cooking plate 1 so that it is around 2 / 3 covered with batter. Make sure that the batter does not run over the edge of the cooking plate 1. If necessary, reduce or increase the amount of batter for your next crêpe.
4) Dip the batter spreader ⑨ briefly in water.
5) Use the batter spreader to spread the batter evenly over the cooking plate 1: Place the batter spreader on the batter without exerting pressure and move it in a circular pattern from the middle of the cooking plate 1 working outwards to the edge. The batter should be spread thinly over the cooking plate 1.
6) After about 45 seconds (depend on the desired degree of browning) turn the crêpe using the crêpe spatula 10.
NOTE
Dip the batter spreader 9 briefly in water after every use. This helps to spread the batter evenly.
Sometimes the green control lamp "Ready" ⑥ goes off and then turns back on again during use. This indicates that the set temperature has briefly fallen and the appliance is heating up again.
NOTE
The specified cooking times are merely guidelines. The cooking time for crêpes depends on your personal taste. Work out the best time by trial and error.
7) After another 45 seconds, remove the crêpe from the cooking plate using the crêpe spatula.
To do this, slide the crêpe spatula 10 under the crêpe and lift it gently. Place the crêpe on a plate.
8) You can now add your favourite toppings to the crêpe.
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!
- Do not spread toppings or decorate the crêpe while it is on the cooking plate 1.
Do not cut the crêpe while it is on the cooking plate 1. - Do not use any sharp or metallic objects to flip the crêpe or to remove it from the cooking plate ①. This will irreparably damage the cooking plate ①!
9) Proceed with the following crêpes in the same way.
NOTE
- When the appliance is not in use, always remove the plug ② from the mains power socket. This is the only way to ensure that the appliance is current-free.
Cleaning and care

- Disconnect the plug ② from the mains power socket before cleaning the appliance.

Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids! Otherwise there is a risk of an electric shock.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before cleaning it. Risk of burns!
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!
- Never immerse the base 4 in water for cleaning! Otherwise, the appliance could be irreparably damaged!
Wipe the cooking plate 1 and base 4 with a moist cloth. Add a little mild detergent on the cloth to remove stubborn dirt.
Clean the batter spreader 9 and the crêpe spatula 10 in water with a little washing up liquid. Rinse them off with clear water and then dry the batter spreader 9 and the crêpe spatula 10 with a tea towel.
NOTE
- You can also wash the cooking plate ①, the batter spreader ⑨ and the crêpe spatula ⑩ in the dishwasher.
If you clean them in the dishwasher, please ensure that the batter spreader 9 and the crêpe spatula 10 cannot become jammed between other objects. This could lead to them becoming deformed! If possible, place the batter spreader 9 and the crêpe spatula 10 in the top basket of the dishwasher.
