Remove the charging and storage box from the packaging, open the zip and remove all packaging material from all accessories. Dispose of the packaging material responsibly.

8.1 Charging the battery in the charging and storage box

(powerbank) Before first use or when the built-in battery in the charging and storage box is empty, charge it up as follows:

1. Connect the USB charging cable (B) to the charging port (6) and to a

suitable USB power adapter (not supplied). WARNING! As the charging and storage box requires a high level of charging current, it cannot be charged up from a PC or laptop. This could damage the PC or laptop. You need to use an optional USB power adapter with an output current of at least 1 A. WARNING! Do not cover the charging and storage box during the charging process, as this could cause it to overheat.SilverCrest SBKL 5.0 A1 English - 39 WARNING! When using an external power adapter, it must be connected to an easily accessible mains socket so that it can be disconnected from the mains power quickly in case of an emergency. 8.1.1 Querying the battery charge level

If you have not charged the battery in the charging and storage box as described above and you want to know how much charge is in the battery, the procedure is as follows:

1. Press the button for the battery charge level display (8) to query the

8.2 Charging the headphones battery

Before using for the first time or if the built-in battery on the headphones is empty (a flashing LED (5) and a beep indicate that the battery is low), charge it up as follows:

1. Carefully remove the cover from the charging port (1) and twist it to

Your headphones have a fast-charge function. If you charge them for just 5 minutes, you can listen to up to 60 minutes of music. 9.1 Powering the headphones on/off

How to switch the headphones on:

1. Press and hold the multi-function button (3) for at least 2 seconds. The

headphones will emit a beep. The LED indicator (5) lights up in blue. If this is the first time you are powering the headphones on and they have not previously been paired with any device, they automatically start in pairing mode. In pairing mode, the LED (5) flashes quickly in blue. Please refer the next chapter for pairing your device. How to switch the headphones off:

1. Press and hold the multi-function button (3) for about 5 seconds. The

headphones will emit a beep. The LED indicator (5) lights up for one second in blue and then goes out.

9.2 Pairing the headphones

In order to make telephone calls or listen to music on your smartphone (or another Bluetooth-compatible device) using the headphones, you first need to pair the headphones to your smartphone. You only need to pair the devices once. If you switch the headphones another time and your smartphone is in range, they automatically connect to the smartphone. Proceed as follows to pair the headphones with your device:

1. With the headphones switched on, press and hold the Bluetooth®

button (4) for at least 2 seconds until the LED indicator (5) starts flashing quickly in blue. The headphones are now in pairing mode. In pairing mode, you can connect a compatible Bluetooth® device to the headphones.SilverCrest SBKL 5.0 A1 English - 43

2. Pair your smartphone or audio or media player to the headphones via

Bluetooth®. Follow the operating instructions for your smartphone or media player (the Bluetooth® function must always be activated on the smartphone or media player). From the list of devices found, select the device “SBKL 5.0 A1” on your smartphone or media player and establish the connection. A beep sounds to indicate pairing has been successful. The LED indicator (5) flashes briefly every three seconds. If you switch your headphones off or take them out of range, the headphones switch themselves off after a few minutes and the LED indicator (5) goes out. As soon as the previously paired device comes back into the range of the headphones, the connection is established automatically. You may need to confirm the connection on your smartphone or media player. If you wish to pair another device (smartphone or media player) to the headphones, proceed as described under “Permanently unpairing a device” below.

9.2.1 Permanently unpairing a device

If necessary, you can permanently unpair you smartphone or media player. This prevents a connection being established when both devices are switched on an in range. At the same time, you can establish a new pairing with a new device.

1. Switch your headphones and the smartphone or media player on. After

a few seconds, a connection should be established between the devices.

2. Press and hold the Bluetooth® button (4) for at least 2 seconds until the
