Inserting batteries The battery compartment is underneath the brush pad .
1) Remove the brush pad as described in chapter “Removing/
attaching brush pads".
2) Insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries of type AAA in the battery compart-
ment . Ensure the polarity is correct.
3) Then replace the brush pad again as described in chapter
“Removing/attaching brush pads . Use NOTE The hairbrush has been fitted with an ion function: When combing hair, the friction caused by a normal hair- brush can statically charge the hairs, which begin to "fly". The ion function ensures that this charging of the hair is neu- tralised and cancelled. The hair becomes soft, supple, shiny and easier to style.
1) Press the ion activator
to position I. The indicator lamp illuminates to show that the ion function has been activated. NOTE You might hear a slight hissing sound when the ion function is activated. This is normal and not a malfunction of the appliance.SHI 1.5 A1
2) Comb the hair from the roots towards the tips.
If the hair is still slightly moist, the ion function assists in straight- ening frizzy hair. If the hair is dry, the ion function prevents the hair from becoming statically charged.
3) When you have finished combing your hair, set the ion activator
to position O. The indicator lamp goes out. Cleaning and care ATTENTION! APPLIANCE DAMAGE! ► Do not use abrasive, chemical or caustic cleaning agents to clean this appliance. Add a little mild deter- gent to the cloth to remove stubborn dirt.
