natural_image
Technical diagram of a mechanical component with directional arrows indicating motion or force (no text or symbols)4) To replace the brush pad ⑥ again, press both catches ⑦ into the recesses on the hand unit ②.
5) After this, press the other side down so that the lock ⑧ engages. The release ③ must then be in the 🔒 position.
Inserting batteries
The battery compartment ④ is underneath the brush pad ⑥.
1) Remove the brush pad ⑥ as described in chapter "Removing/ attaching brush pads".
2) Insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries ⑤ of type AAA in the battery compartment ④. Ensure the polarity is correct.
3) Then replace the brush pad ⑥ again as described in chapter "Removing/attaching brush pads ⑥.
Use
NOTE
The hairbrush has been fitted with an ion function:
When combing hair, the friction caused by a normal hair-brush can statically charge the hairs, which begin to "fly".
The ion function ensures that this charging of the hair is neutralised and cancelled. The hair becomes soft, supple, shiny and easier to style.
1) Press the ion activator 🔍 ⑨ to position I. The indicator lamp ① illuminates to show that the ion function has been activated.
NOTE
You might hear a slight hissing sound when the ion function is activated. This is normal and not a malfunction of the appliance.
2) Comb the hair from the roots towards the tips.
If the hair is still slightly moist, the ion function assists in straightening frizzy hair.
If the hair is dry, the ion function prevents the hair from becoming statically charged.
3) When you have finished combing your hair, set the ion activator

⑨ to position O. The indicator lamp ① goes out.
Cleaning and care
ATTENTION! APPLIANCE DAMAGE!
▶ Do not use abrasive, chemical or caustic cleaning agents to clean this appliance. This will irreparably damage the appliance.
■ Remove as much hair as possible from the brush after every use.
To clean the appliance thoroughly, remove the brush pad ⑥ from the appliance (see chapter Removing/attaching brush pads):
- Clean the brush pad ⑥ under running water. If necessary, use a toothbrush to help cleaning between the bristles. If soiling is stubborn, e.g. residues from hair styling product, apply a mild detergent to the toothbrush.
—Rinse off any remaining detergent under running water.
■ Wipe the hand unit ② with a damp cloth. Add a little mild detergent to the cloth to remove stubborn dirt. Wipe off any detergent residues using a cloth moistened with clean water.
Dry all parts thoroughly and make sure that all parts are completely dry before you attach the brush pad ⑥ back to the hand unit ②.
Storage
■ Store the appliance in a clean, dust-free and dry location.
