How to charge the battery of the Emerio MC122866?

Use the supplied adapter. Plug it into the appliance via the charging port, then into a mains socket. The indicators flash during charging and stay on when finished. Charging takes about 2h30. The appliance cannot operate during charging.

What foods can I chop with this chopper?

You can chop meat (beef, pork, max 300 g), fruits and vegetables (max 120 g, cut into pieces), nuts (max 120 g), biscuits (max 12) and bread (1 slice at a time). Do not chop hard foods like bones, ice cubes, coffee beans or frozen foods.

How to assemble the blades?

The appliance comes with two sets of blades. Mount blade 1 (convex square) into the groove on the shaft of blade 2. Make sure the assembly is secure without overtightening. Note: The blades are very sharp.

How to use the two speeds?

Press the Speed I (slow) or Speed II (fast) button and hold it to operate the appliance. Release to stop. The speed button only works if you first press the safety switch for 1 second.

Can the parts be washed in the dishwasher?

Yes, the glass bowl, its lid, blades and whisk are dishwasher safe. For the blades, use a toothbrush for hand cleaning if necessary. Never wash the motor unit under water; wipe it with a damp cloth.

What to do if the appliance does not start?

Check that the battery is charged. Ensure the motor unit is correctly mounted on the lid. You must first press the safety switch for 1 second before activating a speed button. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

What is the operating time per cycle?

The appliance runs for approximately 65 seconds per cycle, then stops automatically. Wait at least 3 minutes between cycles to avoid overheating. It can perform up to 5 complete cycles on a full battery.

Is the glass bowl microwave safe?

No, the glass bowl cannot be used in a microwave oven. Also avoid washing it with water above 50°C.

How to store chopped food in the appliance?

After chopping, first remove the motor unit, lid and blades. You can then place the supplied storage lid on the bowl to store food in the refrigerator.

What is the warranty of this chopper?

The appliance comes with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase, subject to presentation of the receipt. The warranty does not cover damages due to misuse, repair by an unauthorized third party, or normal wear of parts.

11. Do not immerse the Motor Unit into water or under a tap or in a dishwasher.

12. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or hot surface.

13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

14. Do not use outdoors.

15. Regarding the instructions for cleaning the surfaces which come in contact with food, speed settings and operating times, please refer to the below paragraph of the manual.

16. Do not use the machine without the bowl lid.

17. Do not use the machine in high temperature environment.
18. Do not put hot food / ingredients (above 65^ C) into the bowl for processing.
19. The glass bowl cannot be used in microwave oven. Do not wash with warm water more than 50^ C.
20. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
21. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
22. The bowl lid can only be opened after the blades stop moving completely.
23. The motor cannot be used for other than intended use.
24. Never try to modify or damage the interlock mechanism of bowl lid.
25. CAUTION: After finishing chopping the food, firstly remove the blade and then handle the chopped food. Do not handle the chopped food before the blade is removed.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Before using the product for the first time, please ensure that the battery is fully charged and the parts that come into contact with the food shall be cleaned thoroughly.
2. This appliance is equipped with a protection switch and it can be only operated by pressing and holding the speed button for 1 second later.
3. Clean the appliance as described in section "cleaning and maintenance". Take care when handling sharp blades.

NOTE: This set working time of the appliance for one cycle is around 65 seconds. After that, the appliance will stop working automatically.

BATTERY CHARGING

1. The appliance must be charged by the adaptor provided with the appliance.
2. Plug one end of the adaptor into the charging port and the other end into the power outlet.
3. When charging, the indicators illuminate alternately from bottom to top. When fully charged, the battery indicators will stay lit.
4. The appliance cannot be activated for working when it is being charged.

NOTE: After fully charged, the appliance can keep working for 5 cycles continuously, and minimum 3-minute rest time must be maintained between two consecutive cycles.

HOW TO CHOP FOOD

1. Make sure the non-slip mat is in place. Place the appliance on the table.
2. Place the blades onto the spindle of the bowl and pour in the food to be chopped. Take care the blades are very sharp.

NOTE: This appliance is equipped with two sets of blades. Attach the two sets of blades together; rotate to fix firmly by the groove on the shaft of blade 2 and square convex point on the blade 1. Do not over tighten.

1. Place the lid on to the bowl. Place the motor unit onto the lid. Make sure it fits properly.

1. Press and hold the speed button I or speed button II to run the appliance. Release the button to stop the unit.

NOTE: After put the food in the bowl, if the blades cannot speed up in a few seconds; take out part of food, than continue.

1. After use, wait until the blade stops completely. Remove the motor unit, the lid and the blades. Then, empty the food.

2. You can also reserve the food in the bowl. Cover the bowl with storage cover.

Always make sure the motor unit is in place; otherwise the unit will not function.

This product cannot chop hard things, such as meat with bones, soya bean, pepper, coffee bean, ice cubes and freezing food.

HOW TO WHISK EGG

1. Make sure the non-slip mat is in place. Place the appliance on the table.
2. Install the whisk onto the spindle of the bowl, then add at most three egg whites into the bowl.
3. Place the lid on to the bowl. Place the motor unit onto the lid. Make sure it fits properly.
4. Press and hold the speed button I or speed button II to whisk egg white for 65 seconds. Release the button to stop the unit.
5. After use, wait until the whisk stops completely. Remove the motor unit, the lid and the whisk. Then, empty the food.

Fresh celery and other leafy plants	Clean and dry the leafy plants completely, and then process the food in a cycle of 20S-ON and 1Min-OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got.
Nut	Add at most 120g nuts, and then process the nuts in a cycle of 30S-ON and 1Min-OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got.
Biscuit	Add at most 12pcs of biscuits, and then process the cookies or biscuits in a cycle of 20S-ON and 1Min-OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got.
Fresh beef or pork Cut into cubes of 60 mm * 20 mm * 20 mm	Add at most 300g beef or pork, and then process the beef or pork in a cycle of 30S-ON and 1Min-OFF, perform several cycles until the required processing result is got.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Unplug the appliance and remove motor unit.

2. Wash the bowl lid, glass bowl, blades and whisk in warm soapy water. They are dishwasher-proof.

3. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse it in water for cleaning as electrical shock may occur.
4. Do not use chemicals, steel, wood or abrasive materials to clean the appliance, otherwise it will damage the surface of the product.
5. Dry thoroughly.

Caution: The blades cannot be cleaned with hand directly. They can be cleaned by a toothbrush or similar tools. Blades are every sharp, handle with care.
