Frequently Asked Questions - CME125050 Emerio

How do I descale my Emerio CME125050 coffee maker?
Pour 400 ml of water into the tank, add the dose of descaling product according to the manufacturer's instructions. Let sit for about 1 hour, then turn on the machine and let the water run. Then brew several times with clean water and rinse all removable parts. It is recommended to descale every 3 to 4 months.
How do I clean my Emerio coffee maker?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool. Never immerse the body of the machine in water. Clean the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Wash all removable parts (carafe, filter basket, mesh filter) in warm soapy water after each use.
Can I use paper filters with this coffee maker?
The coffee maker comes with a reusable mesh filter. You can also use paper filters of the appropriate size, but the mesh filter is recommended for optimal use.
Why doesn't my coffee stay hot for long?
The insulating carafe keeps the coffee hot for about 1 hour. After that, the temperature drops below 80 °C. For better retention, preheat the carafe with hot water before use and serve the coffee quickly.
The anti-drip function is not working, what should I do?
Make sure the carafe is correctly placed on the base and its lid is properly closed. The anti-drip function only unlocks when the carafe lid is closed. If the problem persists, check that the seal is not blocked.
How much coffee can I make at once?
The water tank has a maximum capacity of 1 liter, about 8 cups of coffee. Use the water level indicator to measure the desired number of cups.
Does the coffee maker shut off automatically?
Yes, the appliance automatically shuts off about 8 minutes after brewing starts. The indicator light then turns off.
Can I use coffee beans?
No, this coffee maker is designed for ground coffee. It does not have a built-in grinder.
What should I do if the carafe breaks?
The appliance comes with two carafes. In case of breakage, contact Emerio after-sales service to order a replacement part. Do not use an unsuitable carafe.
