ASH VACUUM
Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.
Intended use
This product is intended for removing cold ash with a temperature not higher than 40 °C , and other cold small objects from chimneys, charcoal stoves, ashtrays or barbecue grills.
WARNING!
“Cold ash” is ash cooled down for a sufficient time without any pockets of embers inside. This can be confirmed by scouring the ash for pockets of embers by using metal tools before using the product. Cold ash does not emit any recognizable heat.
The product is not suitable for vacuuming the following materials:
Liquids
■ Soot and glowing embers
■ Cement, gypsum and lime dust
■ Any materials that are combustible, explosive or constitute a health hazard
■ Heating boilers and oil-burning ovens
WARNING!
▶ Vacuum only ashes from admissible fuels!
Any other use or modification of the product are considered improper use and can result in hazards such as death, personal injury and damage. The manufacturer is not liable for any damages caused by improper use. The product is exclusively intended for household use. The product is not intended for commercial use.
The nozzles 6 7 are not suitable for cleaning carpets.
- Scope of delivery
After unpacking the product, check if the delivery is complete and if all parts are in good condition. Remove all packing materials before use.

In the case of damage resulting from non-compliance with these operating instructions the warranty claim becomes invalid! No liability is accepted for consequential damage! In the case of material damage or personal injury caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions, no liability is accepted!
Children and persons with limitations

⚠ WARNING! DANGER OF DEATH AND ACCIDENTS FOR TODDLERS AND CHILDREN!
Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material represents a danger of suffocation. Children frequently underestimate the dangers.
This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
■ Children shall not play with the product.
■ Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Intended use
⚠ WARNING! Risk of injury! Misuse may lead to injury. Use this product solely in accordance with these instructions. Do not attempt to modify the product in any way.
Electrical safety
⚠️ DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Never attempt to repair the product yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.
⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Do not immerse the product's electrical components in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Never use a damaged product. Disconnect the product from the socket outlet and contact your retailer if it is damaged.
⚠ WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Do not operate the product with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor.
⚠ WARNING! Risk of injury! Turn off the product and disconnect it from the power supply before cleaning and when the product is not in use.
■ Do not use the product anymore if it has been dropped.
Before connecting the power plug to the power supply: Check that the voltage and the current rating correspond with the power supply details shown on the product's rating label.
■ Regularly check the power plug and the power cord for damages. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
■ Protect the power cord against damages. Do not let it hang over sharp edges, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and open flames.
Operation
⚠ WARNING! Risk of
Injury! Never use the product to absorb
-water and other liquids,
-burning ashes,
–any material with a temperature exceeding 40 ^ ,
-incandescent materials.
■ Disconnect the product from the power supply
- when a malfunction occurs,
–before attaching/changing accessories,
–before cleaning the product,
-if you will not use the product for a long time,
–during a thunderstorm and
-after each use.
■ Disconnect the product from the power supply by pulling the power plug, but not by pulling on the power cord.
■ Defective components must always be replaced by original spare parts.
- Do not obstruct the ventilation slots during operation. Risk of overheating and damage to the product.
The product is equipped with a thermal fuse that automatically cuts off the power supply if the product overheats. If this safety product has turned off the product, disconnect the product from the power supply and let the product cool. Once the product has cooled down, you can connect the product with the power supply and use the product normally.
Cleaning and storage
⚠ WARNING! Risk of
injury! Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning work and when not in use.
■ Protect the product, its power cord and power plug against dust, direct sunlight, dripping and splashing water.
■ Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.
■ Protect the product against heat. Do not place the product close to open flames or heat sources such as stoves or heating appliances.
Before first use
WARNING!
The product and the packaging are not children's toys! Children must not play with plastic bags, sheets and small parts! There is a danger of choking and suffocation!
- Unpack all parts and remove all packaging materials.
■ Make sure the delivery contents are complete and free of damage (Fig. A, B). If you find that parts are missing or damaged, do not use the product and contact your dealer.
Using an incomplete or damaged product represents a hazard to people and property.
- Assembling the swivel casters

■ Turn over the metal container 5 so that the bottom surface faces upward.
- Align the back of the swivel casters 8 with the centre marking 20 on the metal container 5.
■ Slide and press down the swivel casters 8 until they audibly click into place at the rim of the metal container 5.

Vacuum cleaning
Align 12 with the notch in the vacuum connector 4.
■ Push the hose coupler 10 fully into the vacuum connector 4.
■ Turn the hose coupler 10 in a clockwise direction until it is fully engaged.
- Check if the hose 9 is installed properly by pulling the hose coupler 10 slightly. If the hose coupler does not move, the hose is connected properly.
Blowing air
Align 12 with the notch in the blow connector 1.
Push the hose coupler 10 fully into the blow connector 1.
■ Turn the hose coupler 10 in a clockwise direction until it is fully engaged and locked in place.
- Check if the hose 9 is installed properly by pulling the hose coupler 10 slightly. If the hose coupler does not move, the hose is connected properly.
- Disconnecting the hose
- Disconnecting the hose 9 from the vacuum connector 4 or the blow connector 1: Rotate the hose coupler 10 in an anti-clockwise direction. Pull out the hose coupler.
Connecting the nozzles
Nozzle Connection

● Storing the nozzles and the hose
- Slide one end of a nozzle 6 7 into the nozzle holders 19 on the container lid 14. There are additional nozzle holders on the swivel casters 8.
■ The hose adaptor 11 can be stored in the same way.
● Fixing and removing the container lid

■ Fixing the container lid 14:
- Place the container lid on the metal container 5.
- Lock the container lid 14 in place with the latches 3.
■ Removing the container lid 14:
- Undo the latches 3.
- Lift the container lid off the metal container 5.
Operation
⚠ WARNING! Risk of Injury!
Do not vacuum incandescent materials. Even material that looks as though it has cooled off on the outside may still be very hot on the inside. Hot extracted material could be set alight again in the air current.
Hot ashes should not be purged with water, as the sudden temperature difference can cause ruptures to the chimney.
▶ Wait at least 24 hours before vacuuming a fireplace to make sure that the fire has gone out and the ash has cooled down.
NOTE
Set the on/off switch 17 to ● before connecting the product with a suitable power supply.
■ Connect the power plug 18 with a suitable power supply.
■ Switching the product on: Set the on/off switch 17 to I.
■ Switching the product off: Set the on/off switch 17 to ⬤.
- Checking the dust fill level
If the red light on the indicator bar 16 covers two thirds or more of the indicator bar's length: Empty the metal container 5.
NOTE
The indicator bar 16 works only when the product is switched on.

WARNING!

Always switch the product off and disconnect it from the power supply before performing inspections, installing accessories or making adjustments!

WARNING!
▶ Empty and clean the product before and after use to avoid the collection of materials that could pose a fire hazard in the vacuum cleaner.
■ Remove the container lid 14 from the metal container 5 (see "Fixing and removing the container lid"). Empty the metal container.
● Cleaning the pleated filter

■ Connect the power plug 18 with a suitable power supply.
■ Set the on/off switch 17 to I.
■ Block airflow through the hose adaptor 11: Place the hose adaptor on a flat surface.
If the hose adaptor is connected to a nozzle 6 7: Place the nozzle on a flat surface.
Press and hold the filter cleaning switch 15 5x for approx. 3 seconds. This blows air through the pleated filter 21.
NOTE
Clean the pleated filter 21 after each use to preserve the product's full suction power.

WARNING!
Check the pleated filter 21 regularly for damage and deformation. A damaged or deformed pleated filter cannot be cleaned and must be replaced. This is necessary to maintain the functionality of the product and to protect the product from damage.
Only use replacement filters from Lidl or authorized resellers. Filters that are not compatible with the product can lead to injury and product damage.
Removing the pleated filter

■ Set the on/off switch 17 to ●.
■ Disconnect the power plug 18 from the power supply.
■ Remove the container lid 14 from the metal container 5 (see "Fixing and removing the container lid").
■ Turn over the container lid 14.
- Hold the pleated filter 21 by the rim. Turn the pleated filter in an anticlockwise direction.
■ Lift the pleated filter 21 together with the wire mesh 22 out of the product.
Take the pleated filter 21 out of the wire mesh 22.
Inserting a new pleated filter

■ Set the on/off switch 17 to ●.
■ Disconnect the power plug 18 from the power supply.
- Remove the container lid 14 from the metal container 5 (see "Fixing and removing the container lid").
■ Turn over the container lid 14 and put it to one side.
- Insert the new pleated filter 21 into the wire mesh 22.
■ Slide the wire mesh 22 with the pleated filter 21 inside over the filter thread 24.
Fixing the pleated filter 21 and the wire mesh 22: Hold the pleated filter by the rim. Turn the pleated filter in a clockwise direction. Once the pleated filter is fixed on the filter thread 24, it holds the wire mesh in place.
The rim of the wire mesh 22 has to press down the safety switch 23 . Otherwise, the product does not operate.
Storage
- Set the on/off switch 17 to 0. Disconnect the power plug 18 from the power supply. Let the product cool down.
- Clean the product (see "Cleaning and care").
Wrap the power cord 18 around the power cord holder 2.
The nozzles 6 7 can be placed on the swivel castors during storage (Fig. E).
■ Store the product and its accessories in a dark, dry, frost-free, well-ventilated place.
■ Always store the product in a place that is inaccessible to children.
The temperature for long term storage (longer than 3 months) should be between +10 and +30 °C with a relative humidity not above 60 %.

- Transportation
- Set the on/off switch 17 to ●. Disconnect the power plug 18 from the power supply. Let the product cool down.
- Protect the product from any heavy impact or strong vibrations which may occur during transportation in vehicles.
- Secure the product to prevent it from slipping or falling over.
● Cleaning and care
WARNING!

Always switch the product off, pull the power plug out of the socket and let the product cool down before performing inspection, maintenance and cleaning work!
■ Never let fluids get into the product.
The product must always be kept clean, dry and free from oil or grease. Remove dust from the product after each use and before storage.
- Regular and proper cleaning will help ensure safe use and prolong the life of the product.
- Clean the product with a dry cloth. Use a soft brush for areas that are hard to reach.
This product does not contain any parts that can be repaired by the user. Contact an authorized service centre or a similarly qualified person to have it checked and repaired.
ATTENTION!
Do not use any abrasive, aggressive cleaners, hard brushes, or sharp objects to clean the product or its accessories. Risk of product damage.
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper and fibreboard / 80–98: composite materials.

The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment.
The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase.
Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.
The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.

Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN 123456_7890) available as proof of purchase.
You will find the item number on the rating plate, an engraving, on the front page of the instructions for use (bottom left), or as a sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.

You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.
