Frequently Asked Questions - PAS 1200 F5 PARKSIDE

Can I use this vacuum cleaner to vacuum hot ashes?
No, the vacuum cleaner is designed only for cold ashes at a temperature not exceeding 40 °C. Vacuuming hot or glowing ashes poses a fire risk.
How to clean the pleated filter?
After plugging in and turning on the appliance, block the airflow by placing the hose adapter or nozzle on a flat surface. Press and hold the filter cleaning button 5 times for about 3 seconds each time. This sends air through the filter to clean it.
What to do if the vacuum cleaner does not work?
First check that the power plug is properly connected. If the appliance still does not turn on, check the pleated filter: if it is missing or incorrectly installed, the circuit breaker prevents startup. Ensure the filter is in place and the wire mesh is pressing on the circuit breaker.
Can I vacuum liquids with this vacuum cleaner?
No, this vacuum cleaner is exclusively designed for vacuuming cold ashes and solid residues. Never vacuum water or other liquids, as this could damage the appliance and pose a risk of electric shock.
How to mount the swivel castors?
Turn the metal container over so that the bottom is facing up. Align the castor wheel stem with the central mark indicated on the container, then slide and press downwards until they click into place audibly.
What is the container capacity?
The metal container has a net capacity of 14 liters. It is suitable for collecting cold ashes and small residues.
How to empty the metal container?
Turn off the appliance and unplug it. Open the locking clips and remove the container lid. Then empty the container into a suitable container. Clean the container regularly to prevent residue buildup.
Is the pleated filter washable?
The pleated filter is not designed to be washed with water. It must be dry cleaned using the filter cleaning button. If the filter is damaged or deformed, it must be replaced with an original replacement filter.
Where to find spare parts for this vacuum cleaner?
Spare parts, such as pleated filters, are available at Lidl or from authorized specialized retailers. Only use parts compatible with the PAS 1200 F5 model.
What is the duration of the warranty?
This vacuum cleaner has a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. Keep your receipt as proof of purchase. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects, but not normal wear and tear or damage due to improper use.
