Connection and Operation Manual

● Place the device on a flat surface. ● To avoid possible hearing damage, limit the listening time to high volumes. ● This is a precision electronic appliance; avoid using it in the following cases: - Near strong heat sources, such as central heating plants or stoves. - In very humid places such as bathrooms, swimming pools, etc. - In very dusty places. - In places subject to strong vibrations. ● Position the appliance in such a way that there is always enough room for free air circulation (at least 10cm). ● Do not block the air inlets. ● If any liquid enters the appliance, unplug it immediately from the socket and take it to the nearest TREVI authorised service centre.

Before switching on the appliance, always check that the power cable and the connection cable are properly installed. ● No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the appliance. ● The appliance must not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must be placed on the appliance.

Unplug the power cord during lightning storms or for long periods of non-use. ● Instruct children and people with little knowledge of the product to use it correctly. ● Keep this manual for future reference.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Use a slightly damp soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use solvents and abrasive substances. IMPORTANT This appliance has been carefully built to ensure long-lasting perfect performance. However, should any inconvenience occur, please contact your local authorised TREVI Service Centre. TREVI follows a policy of ongoing research and development. Therefore products may have different features from those described.

INSTALLATION NOTE When installing the SB 8316TV with TV under 24" in size, you may need to lift up the TV so that the sound bar doesn't stand between the TV infrared receiver and the remote control signal. POWER SUPPLY Connect the DC plug of the supplied adapter to the 19V socket (3) located at the back of the appliance. Connect the supplied power adapter to an electrical outlet. POWER ON/ STANDBY AND AUTO POWER OFF FUNCTION - Press (9) button on the unit or the button (13) on the remote control to turn on the appliance; - Press and hold (9) button on the unit for 2 seconds or press the button (13) on the remote control to put the appliance in stand-by mode; the LED indicator (1) will switch On; - This device has an AutoPower Off function; this function allows automatic shutdown in the absence of audio signal on the inputs after 15 minutes.

• If the sound Base does not react to any operation or does not work properly, disconnect the power cable for 30 seconds to reset the device. Nota:10 SB 8316 TV ENGLISH

VOLUME ADJUSTMENT AND MUTE FUNCTION

It's possible to adjust the volume of the unit with the volume buttons (10, 11 on the device, 15, 17 on the remote control) - Press the + or buttons to increase the volume of the device. - Press the - or button to decrease the volume. MUTE FUNCTION: For activate Mute function press MUTE button (14) on the remote control; the indication on the display will begin to flash. To resume the playback, press the MUTE button (14) again.

• Some audio outputs which you connect the Sound Bar (like headphone output) can have its own volume control: make sure you have set on the source device an adequate level audio output otherwise the Sound Bar will sound even at maximum volume.

• If the sound played by the Sound Bar be distorted means that the input signal is too strong: lower the volume of the Sound Bar or paid on a level audio source device output more low.

• In case of connection to a TV by headphone output, it may happen that the sound reproduced by the Soundbar is low even at maximum volume; in this case try connecting the Soundbar to the audio-scart output using an adapter (not supplied). Caution: PRE EQUALIZATIONS The sound bar has a pre-set equalization system, press one of the buttons (18, 20, 22, 23) on the remote control according to the type of listening you are making: - Press the audio equalization button (18) for listening to the Music. - Press the 3D button (20) audio equalization for listening with surround effect. - Press the audio equalization button (22) for Voice listening. - Press the audio equalization button (23) for MOVIE. HDMI IN (ARC) The HDMI ARC function is designed to reduce the number of connecting cables between a TV and a soundbar. The audio signal is able to travel in both directions to and from the speakers, thereby improving sound quality and signal latency. To connect the TV to the sound bar with HDMI ARC, check that the cable is HDMI 1.4 or higher. The HDMI ARC functionality is only available using the appropriate output (HDMI ARC) on the TV or other device. You may need to change the external speaker settings on your TV to enable HDMI ARC commands.

Go to the Menu of your TV and make sure the HDMI ARC output is activated. Refer to the instruction manual of your TV to know how and where to activate this output;

Press M button (12) on the unit or the MODE button (26) on the remote control repeatedly until the word "ARC" appears on the display;

The TV audio will be automatically muted from its speakers and switched to the sound bar; the volume can be adjusted using TV's remote control or sound bar remote control.11 SB 8316 TVENGLISH AUX-IN INPUT 1. Use a 3.5mm Stereo jack cable to connect the AUX input (7) on the back of the sound bar to the headphone / audio output of the TV or other source device;

Turn on the appliance and press the M button (12) on the unit or the MODE key (26) on the remote control repeatedly until "AUX" appears on the display; the signal present on the AUX input will be automatically reproduced;

For correct sound reproduction, refer to the VOLUME ADJUSTMENT, MUTE FUNCTION and PRE EQUALIZATIONS chapter. USB INPUT

1. IInsert a USB memory into the input (6);

2. Turn on the device, the contents of the USB will be automatically played; if this is not the case, press the M button (12) on the unit or the MODE key (26) on the remote control several times until "USB" appears on the display;

Press the button (24) on the remote control to temporarily stop playback. Press it again to resume playback;

To use 9 (16) and : (25) buttons on the remote control to skip to the previous or next track. OPTICAL INPUT 1. Use a digital optical cable (not included) to connect the OPTICAL input (5) to the digital optical output of the TV or other source device;

Press M button (12) on the unit or the MODE button (26) on the remote control repeatedly until the word "OPT" appears on the display;

• Before connecting the optical cable, be sure to remove the plug protection cover if your cable is equipped with it.

• Some TVs or devices is necessary to enable the digital optical output.

• PCM digital audio must be set on the source device for playback from this input. Note: BLUETOOTH OPERATION 1. Turn on the appliance and press the M button (12) on the unit several times until the message "BT" appears on the display, or the key (19) on the remote control;

The system will automatically enter search mode, if not, press the button (19) for a few seconds;

3. Activate the Bluetooth functionality on the external device to be paired;

4. AStart searching for devices. At the end select the device "SB 8316TV";

5. Enter the password "0000" if requested;

6. Press button (24) of remote control to start playback, use 9 (16) and : (25) buttons on remote control to skip to the

previous or next track;

Press the button (19) for a few seconds to interrupt the active connection and pair a new device. TROUBLESHOOTING If the Sound Bar does not work properly, check this short list before taking it to a TREVI authorised service centre. In any case, do not try to repair the device, this will void the warranty. Only TREVI authorised service centres are authorised to perform operations on this product. No Sound

Check that the MUTE function is not activated. Check that the correct input has been selected. Check and adjust the volume of the Sound Bar and the TV (or the device connected). The Sound Bar does not turn on or turns off automatically

Check that the power cable is correctly inserted. If the Sound Bar does not receive any signal for some time it automatically turns to standby mode.12 SB 8316 TV ENGLISH Pairing problems with Bluetooth devices:

If the audio quality is poor after pairing Bluetooth with an external device, bring the external device closer to the soundbar or remove any obstructions between them.

If the connection between the soundbar and the device does not occur, check that the coupling function of the device is enabled; refer to the device manual to enable the function.

If the coupling with the external device is activated and deactivated continuously, bring the external device closer to the soundbar or remove any obstacle between them. In some external devices, the Bluetooth pairing can be switched off automatically to safeguard the consumption of its battery, this is not a malfunction of the device. I can't find the Bluetooth name of this unit on my Bluetooth device for Bluetooth pairing

Ensure that the unit is switched on. Ensure that the Bluetooth function is activated on your Bluetooth device. The remote control does not work

Replace the battery The device does not react to any operation
