Instruction Manual Thank you for choosing our product. We hope you will enjoy using the appliance. Symbols in these Instruction Manual Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the appliance:

General Notes Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this appliance to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.

• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not t for  commercial use.

• Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.

• When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.

• Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the appliance off. Remove the plug from the socket.

• The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.

• Use only original spare parts.

• In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

To prevent overheating of the heating appliance, the heating appliance may not be covered.

Risk of Electrical Shock! Do not use this heating appliance in close proximity to a bathtub, a shower, or a swimming pool. Do not operate the appliance from such a location. Maintain a safety distance of 1.25 m.KH3077N_IM 30.05.18

• Some parts of the product can become very hot and cause burns. Avoid contact with the skin.

• You must be particularly careful when children and vulnerable persons are present.

• The outowing air reaches a temperature of up to 110 °C! Do not  allow children to play unattended in proximity to the appliance. Risk of Explosion The inside of the appliance contains glowing hot components. Do not use the appliance around ammable or explosive liquids or  gases! CAUTION:

• This is an auxiliary heating appliance. Do not leave the appli- ance unattended for several hours. Do not leave the house while it is in use. Safety Distance

• The heating appliance may not be set up directly below a wall socket.

• Maintain a 1 m safety distance to readily ammable objects such  as furniture, curtains, etc. Choose a Suitable Operating Location!

• Use the appliance in the upright position only.

• Place the appliance on a at and heat-resistant surface.

• Always position the appliance in such a way that the air is able to ow freely in and out. Risk of Overheating Do not heat any rooms with a volume of less than 4 m³.KH3077N_IM 30.05.18

• In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the ther- mal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an exter- nal switching appliance, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

• Make sure that the power cable is not lying on the appliance. Route it along the oor and towards the back away from the appliance.

• Allow the appliance to cool down before you put it away.

• Do not insert any objects into the appliance.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• Children younger than 3 years of age should be kept away from the appliance, unless they are supervised at all times.

• Children from the age of 3 and younger than 8 years of age may only turn the appliance on and off if they are supervised, or have been instructed with regard to the safe use of the appliance, and if they have understood the risks resulting from it, provided that the appliance has been placed and installed in its normal position of use.

• Children from the age of 3 and younger than 8 years of age may not insert the plug into the socket, may not clean the appliance and / or may not perform the maintenance by the user.

• Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an author- ized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied per- sons in order to avoid a hazard.KH3077N_IM 30.05.18

Installation of the Feet Please note illustration 1, which shows the underside of the appliance.

• Attach the two feet with the four 15 mm screws.

Only the 15 mm-long screws supplied should be used. Damage the appliance or represent a hazard to the user or others. Initial Operation

• Make sure that the degree of protection of the socket to which the appliance is connected is of at least 10 am- pere!

• Place the appliance on any heat-resistant at surface.  Ensure that air can enter and leave unhindered.

• The distance from the air outlet grille to the nearest wall should be at least 1 m.

• Only connect the appliance to a properly installed safety socket. Function Switch The heating power is determined by the various levels. The appliance offers 3 heating levels for ideal comfort: Tilt the function switch I or II. The control lamp in the switch lights up (see illustration 2). Overheating Protection

• The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection that switches the appliance automatically off in case of overheating. - Tilt the function switch to “0” position and pull out plug out of the socket. Let the appliance cool down for about 10 minutes before using it again.

• Is the appliance overheating? - Check whether the air intake or outlet of the heater is blocked. If so, the blockage should be removed.

• Should the overheating protection shut the appliance off again shortly after, there is probably a defect. - Switch off the appliance again and pull out the plug. - Have the appliance checked by the dealer or by our service. Cleaning

• Before cleaning, always remove the mains plug and wait until the appliance has cooled down.

• Wipe off the dust on the appliance with a dry cloth.

• A damp cloth (not wet) may be used for the removal of stains.
