The display will state the 1, 2, 4 or 5 hours. Adding up these illuminated numbers will allow you to read off the set time. Set air humidification capacity (cold mist). 3 settings can be selected Indicates the user programmed resp. current air humidity. While programming the air humidity that is to be reached resp. maintained in the room, the display will flash. A few seconds after the last setting has been made, the display will illuminate permanently and display the current air humidity. Empty water tank display. Auto function is enabled. Lowest warm mist level is set. Intermediate warm mist level is set. Highest warm mist level is set. Warning prompt for excessive temperature which has activated overheating protection. Should case the humidifier be damaged or wrongly operated, the heating or nebulisation units might overheat, causing the machine to switch off automatically - the prompt „High temp.“ will illuminate as a warning symbol. In this case, turn off the machine, pull the power plug and remove the water tank. Empty out the water in the nebulisation chamber (be careful, as this water might be hot). Completely fill up the water tank with fresh, luke- warm water (10 °C–40 °C) and place it back onto the appliance. Plug the power plug back into the outlet and turn the machine back on. Programming mode for air humidity is activated. High temp. Set humidity63 Function buttons ON / OFF switch – When plugging in the appliance, a signal will sound and the appliance will go to standby mode. When pressing the ON/OFF switch, the LED-display will illuminate and the appliance is operational. Pressing the ON/OFF switch once again will turn the appliance back to standby mode. AUTO button – Pressing this button will turn the appliance to automatic mode. The appliance will register the current air humidity of the room and bring it to resp. maintain it constant between 55% and 68%. Humidification capacity button – You can personally set nebulisation intensity – you can choose between three humidification / capacity levels: low ¡, intermediate “ and high ¶. Every touch of the button will change hu- midification capacity, the display will state the particular symbols ¡, “ or ¶. If you turn off the warm mist function the outlet nozzles will atomise cold mist. Air humidity button – With this button you can manually set air humidity in the room. You can program any value between 40% and 80% in intervals of 5%. The appliance will register current air humidity of the room, bring it to the set value and maintain it constant. An example: When you set air humidity to 50% the appliance will check am- bient air humidity. If air humidity in the room is below 50%, the humidifier will begin operation. If air humidity is at or above 50%, the appliance will stop operation. The appliance is equipped with a built-in humidity switch, guaranteeing that user programmed air humidity is permanently maintained. The humid- ity switch will continuously meter air humidity at intervals of 3–5 minutes. Should effective air humidity drop 4% below the value set by you, the ma- chine will turn on. This tolerance is picked deliberately to keep the appliance from turning on and off frequently and disturbingly. This is also why your appliance is programmed so that time in between two turn-on processes is at least 3 minutes. In our example this would mean: Should air humidity in the room drop below 46% (this value exceeds the tolerance of 4%), the appliance would turn back on not later than 3–5 minutes and return air humidity to 50%. NOTE: When the appliance is turned on (regardless of whether the power supply has been disrupted or not) it will start operating for at least 1 minute to meter current air humidity, even if effective air humidity is above the set value. After that, the appliance will either keep operating - if the value is be- low 50%, as in our example - or discontinue operation - if the value is above 50%, as in our example.64 MEMORY FUNCTION: If the air humidifier is turned on and power has not been disconnected since last programming of air humidity, the programmed value is saved and the appliance will humidify the air of the room according to this last pro- grammed value. If the power supply has been disrupted, the previously programmed air hu- midity value is erased. In this case, the appliance will humidify to the manu- facturer set standard value of 55%. Should you desire a different value the machine has to be user programmed anew. Warm mist button – This button allows setting of the warm mist intensity. The higher the warm vaporisation, the warmer the steam and the higher the humidification capacity with warm mist will be. You have four different possi- bilities: High warm nebulisation, intermediate warm nebulisation, low warm nebulisation or disabled warm nebulisation. In this last case, the appliance will operate with cold mist only - here too, three different humidification levels can be set. Timer button – Pressing this button will activate the timer. Each touch of the button will increase operation time by one hour. Humidification time can be set between 1 and 12 hours. The sum of all illuminated hour digits in the display gives the set operation time. Please note the following:
- The operating range of your air humidifier is between 5 °C and 45 °C, air humidity in the room should be below 90%.
- Water that has been decalcified by a plant operating with salt is not suitable for your Ultrasonic Hybrid. The decalcifying cartridge of the humidifier can not absorb the salt, causing white deposits all over the machine. Should white deposits form anyway, the cartridge capacity has depleted. When this happens can vary, depending on water hardness. In this case please replace the decalcifying cartridge.
- We do not recommend using this machine if your water hardness exceeds 25 °fH.
- Never add additives like essential oils or perfumes to the water! CAUTION: When operating the machine after not using it for extended periods of time, we recommend cleaning of water tank, mist duct and nebulisation chamber in any case (see „Cleaning“ section).65 starting up
