Instruction Manual Thank you for choosing our product. We hope you enjoy using the appliance. Symbols in these Instruction Manual Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the appliance:

  • The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not t for commercial use.
  • Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
  • When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
  • Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the appliance off. Remove the plug from the socket.
  • The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
  • Use only original spare parts.
  • In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Special Safety Instructions for this Appliance

  • The vacuum cleaner should only be used in damp rooms if for your protection a residual-current-operated circuit breaker is con- nected upstream in the electric circuit. If you are not sure, ask a qualied electrician for advice.
  • If the water-lled appliance should fall over accidentally, always remove the plug from the socket rst before uprighting it again.
  • Always unplug the appliance when changing accessories or cleaning the appliance.
  • Do not use the appliance in potentially explosive rooms.
  • Never use the appliance to suck up explosive liquids (such as heating oil, petrol, paint thinner, acetone) or dusts (such as magnesium or aluminium dusts), combustible gases or undiluted solvents and acids - danger of explosion! Turbulence caused by the suction air could lead to the creation of explosive vapours or mixtures. These substances might attack the parts and materials used.
  • Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an author- ized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied per- sons in order to avoid a hazard.

1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.

2. Remove all packaging materials like foils, lling materials,

cable holders, and carton packaging.

3. Check the scope of deliveries for completeness.

4. In case of incomplete delivery or damage, do not operate

the appliance. Return it to your dealer immediately. NOTE: There may still be dust or production residues on the appli- ance. We recommend to clean the appliance as described under “Cleaning”. Installation Before you are able to use the appliance you have to assem- ble it rst. Proceed as follows: Rollers

1. Plug the black feet left and right on the bottom next to

the outlet opening of the appliance. Secure each with a screw.

2. Plug the rollers into the bottom of the foot.

Shampoo Tank Bracket Insert the shampoo tank bracket opposite of the rollers al- ready mounted. Secure it on both sides each with a screw. Wheels Attach the big wheels left and right at the shampoo tank bracket. NOTE: Once the wheels are mounted, it is no longer possible to detach them! Carrying Handle Install the handle with 2 screws onto the engine housing. Connecting and Detaching the Hose Suction Function

  • Put the hose connection into the suction opening on the collection vessel. Use the guides to do so.
  • Turn the hose connection towards . In order to remove the suction hose twist off the hose connection counterclockwise. Blower Function
  • Insert the hose connection into the blower opening at the engine housing. Use the guides to do so.
  • Turn the hose connection towards . In order to remove the suction hose twist off the hose connection clockwise. 2-part Suction Pipe
  • Insert one of the suction pipes with the thicker end into the hose end.
  • Insert the other suction pipe with the thicker end onto the rst suction pipe.
  • To release the suction pipes, pull them off while turning them slightly. Notes on Use Protective Filter Made of Foam Beneath the motor, there is a protective lter made of foam. This is required for both wet and dry vacuuming.
  • If not yet in place, put the protective lter over the suction basket. NOTE:
  • The protective lter must fully enclose the suction basket.
  • You should check the condition of the lter and that it is rmly in place at regular intervals. Permanent Filter (Only when Vacuuming Dry) Put the permanent lter over the protective lter. NOTE: The permanent lter must fully enclose the suction basket. Attaching the Motor Housing
  • Adjust the motor housing so that the on / off switch (I / O / II) sits above the suction opening.
  • Close both locking mechanisms. Nozzle Attachment Wet / Dry Brush You may vacuum leaked or spilled liquids of at surfaces, carpets and parquet with the wet / dry brush. NOTE: Check the maximum ll capacity of the collection vessel. 10 litres of liquid without foaming additive! Shampoo Brush You may clean carpets with a commercial carpet shampoo by using the shampoo brush. Upholstery Brush You may clean upholstery with a commercial upholstery shampoo by using the upholstery brush. Crevice Nozzle For vacuuming upholstery, curtains and in corners and crevices etc. Mains Lead
  • Completely unwind the cable during operation.
  • After use, allow the motor housing to cool down. You may wind the cord around the engine housing afterwards. Turning On / Off The On / Off switch has several functions: 0 Off I Wet and dry vacuuming / Blower function II Vacuuming with shampoo NOTE: Switch position II additionally activates the pump.BSS1309 16.10.17

Notes for Wet Vacuuming and for Vacuuming with Shampoo CAUTION:

  • Do not ll foaming shampoos into the shampoo tank!
  • Always remove the permanent lter when vacuuming liquids.
  • Before the cleaner is used again for dry vacuuming, all components must be dry. Immediately switch off the appliance in the following situations:
  • When the vessel is full.
  • When the appliance falls over. NOTE:
  • The collection vessel can hold approx. 10 litres of liquid (without foaming).
  • If foam should form in the collection vessel, then the maximum capacity is only 1.5 litres!
  • When the vessel is full the oat valve closes the suction aperture and the motor runs at a higher speed. Switch the appliance off immediately and empty it. Operation Preparation

1. Unwind the lead completely.

2. Check if the mains voltage that you want to use matches

the information on the rating plate. CAUTION: Take note of the range limited by the length of the cable!

3. Open the locking mechanisms.

4. Remove the engine housing using the handle.

5. If the protective lter has not yet been mounted, attach

it as described in chapter “Notes on Use” “Protective Filter Made of Foam”. CAUTION: Check that the protective lter ts properly. Dry Vacuuming

1. Attach the permanent lter as described in chapter “Notes

on Use” “Permanent Filter”.

2. Attach the motor housing.

3. Close the locking mechanisms.

4. Attach the wet / dry brush or the crevice nozzle to the

suction pipe or directly to the suction hose.

5. Connect the mains plug to a properly installed earthed

1. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

2. Remove the permanent lter.

3. Attach the motor housing.

Vacuuming with Shampoo NOTE:

  • Dose as indicated on packaging or instruction leaet.
  • Furthermore, refer to the instructions for carpets or upholstery in order to avoid damaging them.
  • Test your appliance beforehand at an insignicant spot. Installation of the Shampoo Accessory

1. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

2. Attach the shampoo or upholstery brush to the suction

pipe or directly to the suction hose. Insert the hose of the brush into the connector of the shampoo hose.

3. The bottom end of the shampoo hose must be connected

to the engine housing. You find symbols at the shampoo house and engine housing (  + ). Attach the shampoo hose to the engine housing in such a way that the sym- bols are facing each other. Tighten the shampoo hose by turning it clockwise.

4. There is another hose at the shampoo tank. Attach it in

the same way as previously described. NOTE: Make sure the shampoo hose has no kinks! Handling

2. Attach the motor housing.

3. Close the locking mechanisms.

4. Fill the shampoo tank with water and cleaning shampoo.

  • For cleaning purposes you may remove the bristles of the shampoo brush. For this pull them off to the side.

  • There are 4 plug-in connections at the engine housing and on the appliance feet in total. There you may stow the nozzle attachments. NOTE: These are not suitable for the suction pipes.
  • We recommend that you keep the appliance in the origi- nal packaging if it will not be used for long periods.

Troubleshooting Problem Possible Cause Remedy The appliance does not work. The appliance has no power supply. Check the socket with another appliance. Plug in the mains plug correctly.
