How to set up the TV tuner on the Asus ET2221AGTR?

Open the ArcSoft TV 5.0 application (desktop shortcut or search 'Arcsoft'). The setup wizard guides you: select your country, detect the tuner, choose the TV type (cable or antenna), then start channel search.

Can I record a TV program?

Yes. From the main menu, click Schedule, then Add. Set the date, time and duration, then click Done. The computer must be on during recording.

How to use the electronic program guide?

The guide is only available with a digital tuner. It shows channel schedules. Access it from the ArcSoft TV 5.0 application by clicking the corresponding icon.

What to do if the remote control does not work?

Check the batteries, range (max 5 meters), and that no obstacle blocks the infrared sensor. If the problem persists, reset the remote by removing the batteries for 10 seconds.

How to switch between analog and digital TV?

Use the TV/AV button in the application or on the remote. This function is only available if your model has both tuners.

Can I add favorite channels?

Yes. While watching, click the Favorites icon (star) to add the channel. Access your list via the corresponding icon.

How to clean the touch screen?

Turn off the device and unplug it. Use a slightly damp microfiber cloth (water only). Do not press too hard. Dry with a soft cloth.

How to update the TV tuner software?

Updates are generally available via Windows Update or the Asus website. Check the latest drivers for the TV tuner in Device Manager.

Can I use the computer without the TV tuner?

Yes, the Asus ET2221AGTR works as a standard computer. The TV tuner is an additional feature. You can disable the ArcSoft TV application if you do not use it.

Launching your TV Tuner Application

To launch ArcSoft TV 5.0 in Windows® 8, do one of the following:

- From the Windows® desktop, click the Arcsoft TV 5.0 icon.

NOTE: The Arcsoft TV desktop shortcut icon is not available for AIO ET2300

- Click + to launch the search screen for applications. Type "Arcsoft" in the search field and click the Arcsoft TV icon from the search results.

Setting up your TV Tuner Application

To set up ArcSoft TV 5.0:

1. On the main menu, click Live TV.

To schedule recordings of TV broadcasts:

1. On the main menu, click Schedule.

1 Playback Buttons

Play

Starts playing media. If playback is paused, pressing this button begins playback from the current position.

Pause

Pauses media playback at the current position.

Stop

Stops playing media at the current position.

Record

Record the TV show to disk. If pressed while Live TV is on, records the current show. If pressed from the EPG screen, records a TV show or TV series to disk.

Fast Forward

Speeds up the playback of the media file to the first forward value (3X).

Rewind

Reverses direction of playback and speeds up the time base to the first rewind value (3X).

Skip Forward

Skips forward one increment when this button is pressed.

Skip Back

Skips backward one increment when this button is pressed.

Press the up/down keys to move through the menu bar in a submenu. Press the up/down keys to decrease/increase a numerical value.

Press the left/right keys to move through the main menus in the Home screen.

Press the left/right keys to move through the items in a submenu.

Press OK to confirm the selection.
