1 Instructions for assembly / operation Safety information DANGER TO
LIFE AND RISK OF ACCIDENTS
FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unattended with the pack- aging material. Danger of suffocation. Keep this13 GB/IE Safety information / Installation product well away from children. This product is not a toy. BEWARE OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Leaking or water discharge can lead to life-threatening danger due to electric shock. Carefully check that all connec- tions are watertight. Also ensure that all wires of electric appliances are correct and have been securely installed. CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Please ensure that no parts are damaged and that all parts are correctly assembled. Incorrect assembly could lead to injury. Please note that washers and gaskets are wear parts and therefore will need to be replaced from time to time. Dam- aged parts could impact safety and function. CAUTION! DAMAGE TO THE ARTICLE! Please have all installations performed by skilled individuals. Be sure all seals are correctly seated. SCALDING RISK! When adjusting the hot water temperature be sure the water tempera- ture is not too high. DANGER OF SCALDING! Hot water that has collected in the washbasin can cause scalding. Let the water cool before you use the drain set. CAUTION! Be careful not to revere the hot / cold water plaque
. The correct placement is: left = red (hot), right = blue (cold). Please note all seals are wear items and will therefore need to be replaced over time. Any leakage or sudden escape of water can cause considerable damage to buildings and property. All connections must therefore be checked carefully to ensure that they are tight. Familiarise yourself prior to installation with all local conditions, e.g. water connections and shut-off device. The product is only suitable for use in rooms with a temperature above 0 °C. Installation Note: Familiarise yourself with the product prior to assembly. Carefully read the following assembly instructions and safety advice. In the event of incor- rect installation, all warranty claims – particularly in relation to subsequent damage – are excluded. CAUTION! Before you start installation turn off the water supply at the mains. Otherwise injuries and / or property damage may occur. CAUTION! Do not twist the connection hoses
or place them under tension. Note: this step requires a cross-tip screwdriver, a slotted screwdriver and a spanner SW 10 mm. Proceed as follows: Place the small silicone seal
inside the groove on the base of the tap fitting. Screw the thread
into the tap fitting. Screw the two flexible connection hoses
hand tight into the designated threaded rods inside the tap body of the tap fitting. Note: The two flexible connection hoses
are colour coded. The flexible connection hose
being screwed into the left borehole on the tap body is the hot water hose with the red marking, the flexible connection hose
being screwed into the right borehole is the cold water hose with the blue marking. CAUTION! Be sure to only tighten the flexible connection hoses
hand tight. Do not use pli- ers or a wrench. The product may otherwise be damaged. Insert the bathroom tap with the connection hoses
into the receiving hole of the wash- basin. Make sure that the connecting hoses
are running straight and are not being clamped. Place the large silicone seal
and the large silicone seal
and the additional protector
with the upper silicone seal
into the drain of the washbasin. Check that the drain set is working properly. To stop the water flow, operate the drain set by pressing the stopper
.14 GB/IE Installation / Operation / Maintenance and cleaning To drain the water, press the stopper
again from above. Check the seals inside the swivel nuts on the flexible connection hoses
Screw the flexible connection hoses
to the angle valves. Be sure to correctly install the flexible connection hoses
to the cold- / hot water hoses – left flexible connection hose
to the hot water connection, left angle valve, and the right flexible connection hose
the cold water connection, right angle valve. Operation Start-up After the initial commissioning, carefully check all connections for leaks. Check the operation of the fitting. To do so, swing the handle
into all permissible posi- tions. Using the Eco function (water saving effect) The cartridge in this washbasin tap has an Eco function. When you move the tap lever you will no- tice a slight resistance. This function limits the water flow to approx. 6 l/min. This allows you to save up to 50 % more water. Tilt the tap lever
until you notice a slight resistance. To increase the flow rate, exert slight pressure on the tap lever until you overcome the resist- ance. Open the main water supply. Lift the handle
and swing it to the right or left in order to regulate the speed or tempera- ture of the water. Hot water: Swing the handle
to the left. Cold water: Swing the handle
to the right. Maintenance and cleaning Maintaining and cleaning the tap Please note that sanitary taps require special care and attention. Therefore, please follow the instructions: When cleaning, never use petrol, solvents, aggressive cleansers or hard cleaning brushes etc. These could damage the surface of the product. Dry your fitting with a cloth after every use to prevent any lime deposits. Clean the product with a damp, soft cloth and a mild cleaning agent if required. Non-observance of the above care advice can be expected to result in damage to the surfaces of the product. This will inevitably invalidate the guarantee. Replacing the cartridge A cartridge
is a wear part that needs replacing according to the hardness and / or degree of con- tamination of the water. This becomes evident when the handle
becomes difficult to move. A new cartridges
can be obtained from the listed service office. Note: this step requires an open-end spanner SW 25 mm or fitting pliers. Proceed as follows to replace the cartridge
Shut off the main water supply. Allow any remaining water in the pipework to drain. Remove the hot / cold plaque
by adjusting the handle
to the highest position and in- serting a flat object between the edge of the hot / cold plaque
and the outside of the handle
.15 GB/IE Maintenance and cleaning / Disposal / Information / Warranty and service Note: use light pressure to carefully push the hot / cold plaque
outward so as not to scratch the surface. Loosen the hexagon socket grub screw
with the socket head wrench
by turning it coun- ter-clockwise. CAUTION! Do not unscrew the hexagon socket grub screw
completely. Only loosen this as far as is necessary to easily remove the lever
Unscrew the cartridge covering ring
, do not use pliers or a spanner. Otherwise the product could be damaged. Loosen the cartridge safety device
inside using fitting pliers or a 25 mm open-end spanner and pull the entire cartridge
out of the tap fitting. Insert the new cartridge into the fitting in the same manner. Note: be sure the seal under the cartridge
is correctly seated. Make sure that the guides are in the corresponding holes. Reassemble all the above parts. Tighten the cartridge lock nut
using fitting pliers or an open-end spanner SW 25 mm while simultane- ously securing the fitting from twisting. This will achieve tightness and ensure the handle is not difficult to move. CAUTION! Be careful not to revere the hot/ cold water plaque
