Frequently Asked Questions - CC039 BUFFALO

How to prepare the plate before first use?
Before first use, clean the plate, spread a little oil with a brush, plug in the appliance, set the thermostat to 110°C, let it heat until the indicator light turns off, then turn off, let cool and wipe off excess oil. This reinforces the non-stick surface.
What is the ideal temperature for cooking crêpes?
The ideal temperature is generally between 180°C and 220°C. Set the control knob to the desired temperature (range 60-300°C) and wait until the indicator light turns off before pouring the batter.
How to clean the Buffalo CC039 crêpe maker?
Turn off the appliance, unplug it and let it cool completely. Wipe exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water. For the non-stick plate, use a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Do not immerse the appliance in water.
What to do if the crêpe maker does not heat up?
First check that the appliance is plugged in and turned on. If the indicator light does not come on, the thermostat may be faulty. If the light comes on but does not heat, the thermal safety may have tripped: let it cool and press the reset button located under the appliance. If the problem persists, contact a Buffalo technician.
Can an extension cord be used?
No, using an extension cord is not recommended. Plug the crêpe maker directly into a suitable wall outlet (230V) to avoid any risk of overheating or voltage drop.
How to prevent crêpes from sticking?
Ensure the plate is properly prepared (see first use). Use an appropriate temperature and spread the batter quickly with the wooden spreader. Avoid using metal utensils that could scratch the non-stick surface.
The appliance turns off by itself during use, what to do?
This may be due to overheating: the thermal safety cuts the power. Let the appliance cool, then press the reset button (located under the appliance) to restart it. If the problem recurs, check that the ventilation slots are not blocked.
What accessories are included with the crêpe maker?
The Buffalo CC039 crêpe maker comes with a wooden spreader (for spreading batter) and a wooden spatula (for flipping crêpes). An instruction manual is also included.
Can I use the crêpe maker for other preparations?
Yes, it can be used for galettes, pancakes, tortillas or even grilled vegetables, thanks to its non-stick surface and wide temperature range (60-300°C).
How to maintain the wooden utensils?
Do not let them soak in water. Clean them with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly after each use to prevent deformation or cracking.
