We wish you much pleasure with your new "img Stage Line" unit. Please read these operating instructions carefully prior to operating the unit. Thus, you will get to know all functions of the unit, operating errors will be prevented, and yourself and the unit will be protected against any damage caused by improper use. Please keep the oper ating instructions for later use.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

blue = neutral

brown = live

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:

1. The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.

If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively, take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not harmful to the environment.

3 Applications

The unit SR-103DMX is specially designed for application in DMX-controlled lighting systems and serves to split DMX control signals or to amplify signals in case of long control cables. It is equipped with 3-pole XLR connectors. The inputs and outputs are DC separated by optoelectronic couplers.

4 Setting into Operation

All connections should be made by skilled personnel only. Fig. 3 shows an example for connection.

1) Feed the DMX control signal to the XLR input DMX IN (3).
For connection, it is recommended to use special cables for high data flow. Use of standard microphone cables is recommended only for a maximum cable length of 100m . The best transmission quality is obtained with a screened microphone cable of 2× 0.25mm^2 or a special data transmission cable. For cable lengths equal to or greater than 150m , it is recommended to insert the SR-103DMX as a signal amplifier into the DMX signal line.
2) Connect in each case the jacks DMX OUT (4) to the DMX input of the next DMX-controlled units. The jacks DMX OUT are provided with a latching device. To remove a plug, press the PUSH lever.
3) Finally connect the mains plug of the connection cable (1) to a mains socket (230V /50Hz) .After that, the unit is ready for operation and the POWER LED (2) lights up.

To switch off, disconnect the plug from the socket.
