USER MANUAL CJ 6840 GRUNDIG
Please read this instruction manual thoroughly before using this appliance! Follow all safety instructions in order to avoid damages due to im- proper use! Keep the instruction manual for future reference. Should this appliance be given to a third party, then this instruc- tion manual must also be han- ded over.
This appliance is intended to be used for household purposes in places such as: -Shops, offices and person- nel kitchens in other wor- king environments, -Farmhouses, -By customers in hotels, mo- tels and other residential places, -Places for sleep and break- fast.
Do not touch any moving parts of the appliance. Do not attach or remove the parts until the device comes to a complete stop.
Check if the mains voltage on the rating label corresponds to your local mains supply. The only way to disconnect the appliance from the mains is to pull out the plug.
For additional protection, this appliance should be connec- ted to a redisual current pro- tection switch with no more than 30 mA. Please contact an electrician for advice.
Do not immerse the appli- ance, power cord or power plug in water or in other li- quids.
Always disconnect the power plug after using the appli- ance, before assembling/ di- sassembling or cleaning the product, if you are leaving the room or if a fault occurs. Do not disconnect the plug by pulling on the cord.
Do not squeeze or bend the power cord and do not rub in on sharp edges in order to prevent any damage. Keep the cord away from hot sur- faces and open flames.
Do not use an extension cord16 ENGLISH with the appliance.
If the supply cable or the product is damaged, imme- diately stop using it to pre- vent any danger and have it replaced by the manufac- turer, service agent or simi- larly qualified personnel.
Our GRUNDIG Household Appliances meet applicable safety standards; if the ap- pliance or power cord is da- maged, it must be repaired or replaced by a service centre to avoid any danger. Faulty or unqualified repair work may cause danger and risks to the user.
Do not dismantle the appli- ance under any circumstan- ces. No warranty claims are accepted for damage caused by improper hand- ling.
Always keep the appliance and the power cable out of the reach of children.
Make sure to unplug the appliance before cleaning and user maintenance.
Children must be supervised

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and per- sons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabi- lities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning utili- sation of the appliance in a safe way and if they under- stand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children wi- thout supervision.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is in use. Extreme caution is advised when the appliance is being used near children and peo- ple with limited physical, sensory or mental capabili- ties.
