USER MANUAL KUC 2221 Koenic
- This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are being supervised or have been given instructions concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the product.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
- A damaged power cord may only be replaced by an authorised service agent in order to avoid hazards.
Safety instructions Size - A5 Read this user manual thoroughly before first use and pass it on with the product. Pay attention to the warnings on the product and in this user manual. It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the equipment.
- Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.
- Do not place any objects on top of the product.
- Never immerse electrical parts of the product in or any other fluid during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
- Do not under any circumstances attempt to repair the product yourself (e.g. damaged power cord, product has been dropped, etc.). For servicing and repairs, please consult an authorised service agent.
- The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.
- Only unplugging from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.
- Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
- Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources such as ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.
- Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.
- Unplug the product ... - when the product is not being used, - in case of malfunctions, - before attaching / detaching accessories and - before cleaning the product.
- Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.

Please read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference. Intended use This product is designed to be used as an ultrasonic cleaner. It removes dirt eciently from many kinds of objects in a gentle way with ultrasonic waves. Using it for anything else can damage the device or cause injury. The Imtron GmbH assumes no liability for damage to the product, for property damage or for personal injury due to careless or improper usage of the product, or usage of the product which does not meet the manufacturer’s specified purpose. Before first time use Carefully remove the product and accessories from the original packaging. It is recommended to keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please observe applicable legal provisions. Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal, contact your local waste management center. Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately. - Dry spectacle lenses after cleaning with a soft cloth. Streaks occur if the lenses are allowed to dry in the air.
- Shiny surfaces should be polished afterwards. Not suitable for ultrasonic cleaning

Cleaning Methods
- General Cleaning Use normal tap water for general cleaning (the water should completely cover the item to be cleaned, although the maximum filling height should not be exceeded).
- Basic Cleaning Cleaning concentrates can be used to intensify the cleaning eect of the product. Fill the stainless steel container with water, which is, depending on how soiled the to be cleaned objects are, dosed with multiple drops of detergent. Note Please note the information provided by the washing-up manufacturer on the pack.
- Partial Cleaning For the partial cleaning of large objects please use the product with the lid open. Note During operation avoid contact with the liquid! Ultrasound is harmful to skin and bones. Place the product on an even and stable surface and plug in the power plug. Fig.
Put the to be cleaned object into the stainless steel container. Fill the container with water. The object must be covered by water, but ensure that it does not exceed the Max. marking of the container. Consider one of the methods mentioned in Cleaning Methods. Fig.
Close the lid and press the POWER button to switch on the product. The blue indicator lights on and 00:00 appears on the display. Fig.
Press the ON button to start and the time in the display counts down to 0. Note During the cleaning process a quiet vibration noise can be heard; this is caused by the cleaning process. Fig.
After the set time has elapsed the cleaning process is automatically stopped and the display shows 00:00. Fig.
Press the POWER button to stop the cleaning process manually if necessary. After the cleaning process has ended, turn o the product, open the lid and take out the cleaned object. Note
- You can repeat the cleaning process in order to intensify the cleaning eect.
- In order to avoid lime residues, always empty the stainless steel container and wipe dry with a cloth. We recommend that the liquid should be renewed after every cleaning process. Fig.
Ultrasonic Cleaning with basket
- Use the basket, if you clean sensitive and small objects. Put the item to be cleaned in the basket. You can clean several items together in one cleaning procedure. But ensure that the items do not touch each another in order to avoid scratches.
- Place the filled basket in the product and fill in water. The water must cover the items but not exceed the Max marking.
- Start the cleaning process as described in chapter Cleaning without inserts. Note The basket insert absorbs some of the ultrasonic waves and therefore reduces the cleaning performance. It may therefore be necessary to carry out several cleaning procedures. If problems cannot be solved as indicated under Solution, please contact your manufacturer. - There is no or too little water in the stainless steel container

- Cleaning with the basket insert
- Fill the container with water up to MAX-marking
- Add cleaning concentrate according to the type of soiling
- The basket insert absorbs one third of the ultrasonic waves and therefore reduces the cleaning performance. It may therefore be necessary to carry out several cleaning procedures. Fig.
Ultrasonic cleaning with watch holder
- Hang the watch on the watch holder and ensure the watch mechanism housing sits above the surface of the liquid. If the watch mechanism is in the liquid, it may be damaged during the cleaning process by the ultrasonic waves.
- Start the cleaning process as described in the chapter Cleaning without inserts. Fig.
Ultrasonic cleaning of CDs and DVDs
- Insert a CD or DVD into the supplied CD holder. Fill the product with water. 2 CDs or DVDs can be cleaned at the same time by using the ring as a spacer.

- When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects. Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning mechanisms and tools may scratch the surface(s).
- Never immerse any electrical parts of the product in water or in other liquids during cleaning. Never place it under running water.
- Clean the product’s exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly.
- Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch).
