IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

Risk of burning! The surface of the product can become very hot during operation.
Caution! Hot surface!
- Do not operate the product by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
- This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
- Children shall not play with the product.
- A damaged power cord may only be replaced by the authorised service agent in order to avoid hazards.
- The product is designed for the preparation of normal household quantities in the home, or in household-like, non-commercial environments. Household-like environments include staff kitchens in shops, offices, agricultural and other small businesses or for use by guests at bed-and-breakfast establishments, small hotels and similar residential facilities.
- Bread can burn. Therefore, do not use this product near or below flammable materials such as curtains. Please be sure to keep a sufficient safe distance from flammable materials.
- Caution! Risk of burning hazard when not using typical bread for toasting. Due to smaller size or shape there is a risk of touching hot parts when taking out the toasted bread.

- Clean the crumb tray regularly and remove the crumbs.
- Follow the instructions in the chapter Cleaning and care.
- Fire hazard! Bread can burn! Do not leave the toaster unsupervised when in use. Do not use the toaster near flammable materials such as curtains, textiles, walls, etc. and do not cover the toaster. Always ensure that there is a safe distance to flammable materials.
- Read this user manual thoroughly before first use and pass it on with the product. Pay attention to the warnings on the product and in this user manual. It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the equipment.
- Use the product only for its intended purpose and with recommended accessories and components. Improper use or wrong operation may lead to hazards.
- Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.
- Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
- Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
- Do not under any circumstances attempt (e.g. damage in power cord, product is dropped, etc.) to repair the product yourself. For servicing and repairs, please consult an authorised service agent.
- The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.
- Only unplug from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.
- Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
- Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.
- Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.

- Attention! Never remove toast slices while the device is in operation.

If a slice of toast is stuck in the toaster:
-
Pull the plug from the power socket and let the device cool off completely.
- Then remove the stuck slice from the toaster.
Do not use any metal objects for this and avoid any contact with the internal metal parts of the toaster.

Risk of fire and electrical shock! Do not put any large slices of bread, metal foil, or metal tools into the toaster.
-
Never cover the toaster while it is in operation - it could overheat and catch fire.
- Never toast bread with toppings or filling in order to prevent the filling from dripping and igniting.
- Never wrap the bread when you warm it on the roll attachment. Plastic wrap melts and can ignite. Aluminium foil reflects the heat and leads to damage of the toaster.
- If the toaster begins to smoke, stop it immediately and pull the plug.
- Never operate the toaster without the crumb tray.
INTENDED USE
This product is intended to toast and crisping up rolls or croissants. Every other type of use can lead to damage to the product or injury.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
Operate the product for few cycles or about 10 minutes without bread in a properly ventilated room. Please ensure for sufficient ventilation, as this may lead to slight smell and smoke, but this is normal and will disappear after a short time. After unpacking, please refer to chapter Cleaning and care.
OPERATION
Toasting bread
1 Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical outlet.
2 Insert bread slices of regular size in the bread slots. Risk of burning hazard when not using typical bread for toasting. Due to smaller size or shape there is a risk of touching hot parts when taking out the toasted bread.
3 Select the desired toast level with the browning knob. Choose among levels 1 to 7 according to your preference.
4 Press the toast lever downward until it locks in place. The toasting process starts.
5 When the set toast level is reached, the toast lever pops up automatically.
To manually terminate the toasting process, press the CANCEL button.
HINTS:
- The toasting is dependent on the type of bread. Levels 3 and 4 generally result in a goldbrown.
- The ideal browning level depends on bread type, slice thickness and toasting time. Please try several times to find your favourite setting.
Use a lower setting when toasting a single bread slice.
Bun warming
7 Push the lever to pop up the roll attachment.
8 Lay the rolls on the roll attachment.
9 Select a medium toasting level with the selector and press the control lever downwards. Turn the rolls occasionally.
After use
Unplug the product.
Emptying the crumb tray
Regularly remove the crumb tray from the product and remove the crumbs. Unplug and let the toaster cool down. Pull out the crumb tray and remove the crumbs. Wipe the crumb tray with a slightly damp cloth if there are heavy stains. Re-insert the crumb tray.
Storage
12 Wind the power cord around the cord storage.
Removing toasts:
Caution! Bread slices and parts of the product get very hot and stay hot for some time after operation. Do not use conductive tools, such as a fork, to remove toast from the product as this may damage the heating elements.
Removing lodged toasts:
- If toast is lodged inside the product, press the CANCEL button and disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet.
Wait until the product has cooled completely. - Remove toast carefully and take care not to damage the heating elements.
CLEANING AND CARE
- Warning! Before cleaning, make sure to switch off the product and disconnect it from the electrical outlet and let it cool completely.
- Warning! Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
- Clean the product with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Make sure that no moisture is entering the product during cleaning.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp implements to clean your product.
Dry the product thoroughly after cleaning. - Store the product in a cool, dry location, away from children and pets.
