Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance. Familiarise yourself with the operation, adjustments and functions of switches. Internalise and follow the safety and operation instructions in order to avoid possible risks and hazards.
1. CAUTION! HOT SURFACE!
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Danger of electric shock! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.
- Regularly check the power plug and power cord for damage. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a danger or injury.
- Warning! During cleaning or operation do not immerse the electrical parts of the appliance in water or other liquids. Never hold the appliance under running water.
- Fire hazard! Bread can burn! Do not leave the toaster unsupervised when in use. Do not use the toaster near flammable materials such as curtains, textiles, walls, etc. and do not cover the toaster. Always ensure that there is a safe distance to flammable materials.
Danger of burns! Parts of the appliance become very hot during use. Hold the appliance by its handle only. - The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Caution - Risk of burning hazard when not using typical bread for toasting. Due to smaller size or shape there is a risk of touching hot parts when taking out the toasted bread.

- Observe all safety instructions to avoid damage through improper use! Follow all safety warnings on the appliance and in this instruction manual.
- Keep this instruction manual for future use. Should this appliance be passed on to a third party, then this instruction manual must be included.
- No liability will be accepted for damage resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these instructions.
- Only use this appliance for its intended use. The appliance is not suitable for commercial use. This appliance is only suitable for indoor and household use.
- Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the appliance rating label.
- Never use a damaged appliance! Disconnect the appliance from the electrical outlet and contact your supplier if it is damaged.
- To avoid damaging to the power cord, do not squeeze, bend or rub it on sharp edges. Keep it away from hot surfaces and open flames as well.
- Place the cord in such a way that no unintentional pulling or tripping over it is possible. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- If an extension cord is used, its capacity needs to be suitable for the power consumed by the appliance.
- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
- Do not open the appliance casing under any circumstances. Do not insert any foreign objects into the inside of the casing.
- Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance. Do not place objects with open flames, e.g. candles, beside the appliance. Do not place objects filled with water, e.g. vases, near the appliance.
- Keep the appliance away from any hot surfaces and open flames. Protect the appliance against heat and cold, dust, direct sunlight, moisture, dripping and splashing water.
- Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
- Connect the power plug to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency the appliance can be unplugged immediately. Pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet to completely switch off the appliance. Use the power plug as the disconnection device.
- Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.
- For additional protection, we recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying power to your appliance. The installation should be done by an experienced electrician.
- Disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- Should the appliance fall into water, unplug the power plug first before reaching into the water.
- Danger of fire or electric shock! Do not insert slices of bread that are too thick. Do not insert metal foil or tools into the toaster.
- To avoid personal injury and damages to the appliance, do not remove bread from the toaster as long as it is still in use. Only place bread in the toaster for toasting.
- Do not toast bread with high sugar content or bread, which is sprinkled with sugar. Do not toast bread with a spread on it.
- Do not cover the appliance while it is in use or shortly after use, when it is still hot. Allow the appliance to cool completely before storing.
- This appliance is classified as protection class I and must be connected to a protective ground.
- Place the appliance on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface.
INTENDED USE
This appliance is intended to toast and crisp up rolls or croissants. Any other type of use can lead to damage to the appliance or personal injury.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
Clean the appliance (Cleaning and care).
- Allow the appliance to complete several toasting cycles without food, until no odour or smoke is present. During toasting, ensure good room ventilation.
- Due to the manufacturing process, the appliance may emit a slight burning odour when switched on for the first time. This is normal and does not indicate any defect or hazard.
OPERATION






Connect the power plug to a suitable electrical outlet.
Insert bread slices of regular size in the bread slots.
Select the desired toast level with the browning knob. Choose among levels 1 to 6 according to your preference.
Press the toast lever all the way down until it clicks in place. The toasting process starts.
When the set toast level is reached, the toast lever pops up automatically.
To manually terminate the toasting process, press the Cancel button.
Hints
- Browning level 1 is predefined setting to toast for golden brown colour with energy saving consideration.
- The ideal browning level depends on bread type, slice thickness and toasting time. Please try several times to find your favourite setting.
Use a lower setting when toasting a single bread slice.
Warming up buns

To lift the warming rack, slide the warming rack holder towards the bread slots until it clicks in place.

After use

Removing toast
Caution! Bread slices and parts of the appliance get very hot and stay hot for some time after operation. Do not use conductive tools, such as a fork, to remove toast from the appliance as this may damage the heating elements.
After toasting, use non-conductive items, e.g. mittens, to remove hot toast from the appliance, or wait to remove the toast after it has cooled a bit. Do not use a fork or other metallic utensils to remove toast as this may result in electric shock or fire.
Removing lodged toast
- If toast is lodged inside the appliance, press the Cancel button and disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet.
Wait until the appliance has cooled completely. - Remove toast carefully and take care not to damage the heating elements.
CLEANING AND CARE
Warning! Before cleaning, switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the electrical outlet and let it cool completely.
Warning! Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Clean the appliance with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Make sure that no moisture is entering the appliance during cleaning.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp implements to clean your appliance.
Dry the appliance thoroughly after cleaning. - Store the appliance in a cool, dry location, away from children and pets.
Emptying the crumb tray

Place the product on its side on a flat surface.

Slide the crumb tray to the side and then open it by pulling it outwards. Clean the crumb tray and then close it.
Storage

Before storage, always make sure the appliance has already been disconnected from the electrical outlet and cooled completely.
Wind the power cord around the cord storage underneath the appliance.
Store the appliance in a cool and clean place, preferably in its original package.
