How to ignite a burner on the MXPG2200B hob?
Press the knob corresponding to the burner for about 6 seconds while turning it counterclockwise to the maximum flame position. Release the knob after this time. To turn off, turn the knob clockwise to the OFF position.
What to do if the flame accidentally goes out?
The safety sensor (thermocouple) cuts the gas supply. Turn the knob to OFF, wait about 1 minute, then relight normally. If the problem persists, check that the burner ports are not blocked.
How to clean the tempered glass hob?
Use hot water and soap or a special ceramic hob cleaner. For stuck-on residues, use a scraper (not supplied). Avoid abrasive pads, alcohol, and volatile products. Clean after each use to prevent residues from burning.
How to change the gas type (natural to butane)?
The hob comes with injectors for natural gas (G20). To switch to butane (G30), replace the injectors with those supplied in the accessories bag, respecting the diameter: small burner 0.52 mm, medium 0.67 mm, large 0.93 mm. This operation must be carried out by a qualified installer.
What pan diameters to use for each burner?
Use flat-bottomed pans: for the auxiliary (small) burner: 10-14 cm Ø; semi-rapid (medium): 16-20 cm Ø; triple ring (large): 24-26 cm Ø. A flame that extends beyond the pan base wastes energy.
The burner does not ignite, what to check?
Make sure the gas and electricity supply is active. Check that the burner gas holes are not blocked and that all parts are properly secured. Avoid strong drafts. If the electric ignition does not work, gently clean the spark plug.
What gas pressure is required?
For natural gas (G20): 20 mbar. For butane gas (G30): 30 mbar. If the pressure differs, valve adjustment may be necessary, carried out by a qualified technician.
How to install the hob correctly?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified installer. The room must be ventilated (air inlet of at least 100 cm²). Observe minimum distances: 150 mm from side cabinets, 400 mm above, 700 mm under a hood. Use the supplied template to cut the worktop (560×480 mm) and fix the hob with the supplied hooks.
What to do if there is a gas smell?
Immediately turn off the gas supply at the main valve. Do not operate any electrical switches. Open windows to ventilate. Do not attempt to relight the burners. Contact a qualified installer or emergency services.
How to adjust the minimum flame if it goes out?
Light the burner and let it heat for 10 minutes. Turn the knob to minimum. If the flame goes out, remove the knob and adjust the adjustment screw (on the top left of the valve) with a flat screwdriver. Repeat for each burner. This operation must be carried out by a qualified technician if you are not comfortable.
