Before plugging the device in and starting using it, please read this manual thoroughly and follow the provided instructions. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Follow all warnings on the product and in the documentation supplied with the appliance.
- Unplug the device before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or spray cleaners for cleaning. Use wet cloth for cleaning.
Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Otherwise there is a risk of injury or damage to the device.
- Do not use the device near water and in wet locations such as near a pool, bathtub, kitchen sink, in a damp cellar, laundry room and so on. The device must not be exposed to dripping or splashing water, do not place containers filled with liquids on the device.
- Place the device on a horizontal, flat and firm surface with good ventilation. Do not cover the air vents. Doing so may damage the device by overheating. Do not place the device in a confined space with poor ventilation, for example, in glass cabinets or on tight shelves.
The appliance should be powered only from power sources indicated on the product label. If you are unsure of your power network parameters, consult your vendor or your electricity provider.
- The power cord should be led so as to avoid stepping on the cord or its excessive straining or pinching. Pay special attention to places where then cord exits from the appliance and close to the plug. If you will not use the device for longer time period, pull the power supply plug out of the outlet. Unplug the power supply also during a thunderstorm to prevent damage by lightning.
- The electrical outlet has to be constantly accessible.
- Protect the device against infiltration of liquids or foreign objects and do not insert any object into the ventilation openings, with potentially hazardous contact with voltage inside the device.
- Do not open the device box. There are no elements inside that can be configured by the user. Have a qualified service technician perform repairs on the device.
- In the following cases, unplug the device and contact a qualified service:

  • The power cord was damaged
    The device was infiltrated by a foreign object or liquid, or it was exposed to rain or water.
  • The appliance does not operate normally in accordance with the manual. Set only the elements described in the operating manual.
  • The device shows significant changes in functionality, indicating a need for service.

  • Do not expose the device to heat sources such as radiators, heating or other heat-producing appliances such as amplifiers.
    Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible authority can lead to loss of authorization to use the device.

USING THE SYSTEM

Preparation for use

This alarm radio is equipped with backup power, which in the event of a brief power outage keeps the setting of the clock and alarm. Insert two AAA batteries in the battery compartment 10, observe correct polarity (+) and (-) marked inside the battery compartment. If there is a power outage and batteries are inserted in the device, the display of the alarm radio goes off, but the clock is still running and retains the set alarm. Replace discharged batteries both in the same time with new batteries of the same type.

The alarm radio is equipped with non-slip silicone pads. Do not place the alarm radio on furniture with sensitive surface, which can be marked by the non-slip pads.

Plug the cable 12 in the electrical outlet.

Setting the time

Note:

  • If after plugging it into power outlet the clock display flashes, you cannot activate any function. Press (6) (TIME/PRESET) to stop the flashing and start setting the clock.

  • You can set the clock of the device only when the radio is off. Press (2) (ON/OFF/NAP) to turn off the radio.

  • When clock display is flashing you cannot turn on the radio by pressing (2) (ON/OFF/NAP).

  • Press and hold (for 3 seconds) (6) (TIME/PRESET) so that the display starts flashing.

  • Press repeatedly (5) (HOUR/TUNING-) to set the hour.
  • Press repeatedly (9) (MIN/TUNING+) to set the minutes.
  • Press (6) (TIME/PRESET) to confirm the setting, display stops flashing.

Setting alarm

This alarm radio allows you to set two independent wake-up times. The process to set the alarm time is the same for both alarms. Both alarms can be set for wake-up either by buzzer or by radio.

Note: You can set the alarm time only when the radio is off. Press (2) ON/OFF/NAP) to turn off radio.

  1. If you want to set the 1st alarm for wake-up by buzzer, press (ALARM1/VOL-), so that the indicator (E) starts flashing. If you want to set the 1st alarm for wake-up by radio, press (ALARM1/VOL-) twice so that the indicator (F) starts flashing.

  1. When the numbers are flashing, set hours by repeatedly pressing the ⑤ (HOUR/TUNING-) button, by pressing repeatedly the ⑨ (MIN/TUNING+) button, set minutes.

  2. Confirm the set time by pressing 4 (ALARM1/VOL-).

  3. If you want to cancel the alarm, press three times the ④ (ALARM1/VOL-) button while displaying current time. The alarm indicator disappears from the display.

  4. When the alarm starts you can press (4) (ALARM1/VOL-) to turn it off or press ① (SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIM) to go into snooze mode (SNOOZE). In this mode the symbol w flash. The alarm sounds again in 5 minutes.
  5. You can set the second alarm the same way, but instead of the button ④ use the button ⑧ (ALARM2/VOL+).

Note: You have to set the time and the alarm while the numbers on the display are flashing. After about 10 seconds of inactivity, the display stops flashing.

Basic operations

  1. Press (2) (ON/OFF/NAP) to turn on the radio.
  2. Use the button (5) (HOUR/TUNING-) or (9) (MIN/TUNING+) for manual tuning to increase or decrease the frequency in steps by 0,10 MHz.
  3. When using automatic tuning, press (5) (HOUR/TUNING-) or (9) (MIN/TUNING+) and hold for about 3 seconds. When you release the button, the device starts to search for the closest previous or next radio station.
  4. Using buttons (ALARM1/VOL-) or (ALARM2/VOL+) set volume. While adjusting the volume, the display changes to show the volume (range 00-14), then goes back to show the frequency and subsequently the current time.
  5. Press (HOUR/TUNING-) or (MIN/TUNING+) to display the radio station's frequency.

Presets of radio stations

  1. The device allows you to store up to 20 radio stations in memory.
  2. If you want to store a radio station in memory, first tune to the desired station. Then press and hold for about 3 seconds the button (TIME/PRESET) "P01" on the display starts flashing. Using (P+) or (P-) select the required memory position (P01 to P20) and confirm by pressing (TIME/PRESET).
  3. You can perform the above mentioned steps for up to 20 radio stations.

  4. To tune in to a station stored in memory press repeatedly (P+) or (P-) until the desired station is tuned in.

Sleep mode with music (SLEEP)

While the radio is on, press ① (SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIM) to go in the sleep mode with music (SLEEP). First, the display shows "OFF" (off mode). Press repeatedly ① (SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIM) to set the.time when the radio will be turned off. The SLEEP function range is 10 to 90 minutes.

Nap mode (NAP)

You can set the interval "nap" after which the radio automatically turns on.

  1. While the radio is turned off, press and hold for about 4 seconds the button (ON/OFF/NAP) and the display with the indicator (FM) starts flashing.
  2. Using buttons (P+) and (P-) set the required nap time (45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes).
  3. Confirm the setting by pressing 2 (ON/OFF/NAP).

Dimming the brightness of the display (DIM)

While the radio is off and the display shows current time you can press ① (SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIM) to change the intensity of the brightness of the display.

Unplug the device before cleaning.

  • Place the device on a flat surface protected from direct sunlight or excessive heat and humidity.
  • Protect glossy furniture or furniture made of wood using a tablecloth or other protective materials between the furniture and the device.
  • If the unit is not used for longer period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and subsequent corrosion.

  • Clean the surface of the device with a soft, dry cloth or lightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Prevent moisture penetrating the device.

  • Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasive ingredients.
