How do I set up the Unold 58825 food warmer?

Instructions for persons in the household

  1. The appliance can be used by children 8 years and older and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lack of experience or limited knowledge, if they are supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or they have been instructed with regard to safe use of the appliance and have

understood the dangers that can result from use of the appliance. The appliance is not a toy. Children should only clean and maintain the appliance under supervision.

  1. Children under the age of 3 should stay away from the appliance or they must be under constant supervision.
  2. Children between the ages of 3 and 8 should only switch the appliance on and off when it is in its normal intended operating position, they are supervised or have been instructed relative to

safe use of the appliance and have understood the hazards that can result from using the product. Children between 3 and 8 years of age should neither connect or operate the appliance, nor should they clean or maintain the appliance.

  1. CAUTION - parts of this product can become very hot and cause burn injuries! Be particularly careful if children or persons at risk are present.
  2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Requirements imposed of the setup location and operation of the appliance

  1. Only connect the appliance to an AC power supply with voltage as specified on the rating plate.
  2. This appliance must not be operated with an external timer or a remote control system.
  3. Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids - danger of electric shock!

The warming plate is designed exclusively for keeping foods warm. Never use the appliance to heat rooms, chemicals or other substances, to keep animal cages warm, for example. Never touch the hot surface of the appliance - danger of burns!

The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

The appliance has an overheating protection circuit. Ensure that you place cookware carefully on the plate, and not slide it, to avoid scratches.

Always allow the appliance to heat up for a short time before placing food containers on the glass plate. By following this instruction you avoid high temperature fluctuations and any resulting damage of the glass surface.

Note: The appliance is not suitable for heating up, thawing or cooking food!

  1. Remove all packaging materials and transport safeguards. Keep the packaging material, such as plastic bags or Styrofoam away

from small children - danger of suffocation!

  1. Before use, wipe off the plate with a damp cloth.

  2. Plug the power cord of the appliance into an electrical outlet (220-240 V~, 50/60 Hz).

  3. Switch on the appliance via the ON/OFF switch on the rear of the appliance.
  4. Select the desired temperature level via the temperature regulator. You can set the temperature variably between approx. 30^ and a maximum of 95^ .
  5. The function indicator light lights up and shows that the appliance is in operation.
  6. When the selected temperature is reached, the red indicator light goes out.
  7. As soon as the warming plate cools, the red indicator light is again illuminated and shows that the appliance is again heating up.
  8. Place the desired food con tainer on the warming plate. Never place food directly on the glass plate!
  9. To keep food warm, use heat-resistant, shallow, flat-bottomed

vessels. Heat losses occur with high vessels or vessels with an uneven bottom. For more effective heat accumulation, cover vessels with a suitable lid.

  1. If heating up large quantities, we recommend that you stir the food regularly to achieve a uniform heat distribution.
  2. The food containers can become very hot, consequently always use suitable pot holders or protective gloves, when you touch the containers.
  3. Always take the food containers off the appliance if you want to slide or move the appliance. To move the appliance, only touch the handles.
  4. After use, always switch off the appliance via the ON/OFF switch and unplug the plug from the electrical outlet.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

We grant a 24 months guarantee, and in case of commercial use a 12 months guarantee, starting from the date of purchase for any damage demonstrably due to manufacturing defects and when the appliance has been used according to its intended use. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs only in Germany and Austria. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.
