This appliance can be used by children 8 years and older, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or with lack of experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or if they have been instructed with regard to safe use of the appliance and have understood the dangers that can result from use of the appliance.

Children are not allowed to perform cleaning and user maintenance, unless they are 8 years of age or older and are supervised.
- Keep the appliance and the power cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
- CAUTION - parts of this product can become very hot and cause burn injuries! Particular caution is required if children or persons at risk are present.
- Only connect the appliance to an AC power supply with voltage corresponding to the voltage specified on the rating plate.
- Ensure that all users of the appliance, are aware of the danger of injury from escaping steam.
- This appliance must not be operated with an external timer or a remote control system.
- Never immerse the appliance or the power cord in water or other liquids.
- Do not clean the housing or power cord in a dishwasher.
- Do not immerse the housing in water or other liquids. If this should occur, the housing must be completely dry before next use.

- Check the appliance, the plug and the power cord regularly for wear or damage. In the event of damage to the power cord or other parts, please send the appliance or the power cord to our customer service organisation for inspection and repair. Unau-
thorised repairs can result in serious hazards for the user and void the warranty.
- If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by the manufacturer's customer service organisation, or by a person with similar qualifications, to prevent hazards.
- To avoid damage, do not use the appliance with accessories of other manufacturers or brands.
- Unplug the mains plug from the electrical outlet after use and before cleaning. Never leave the appliance unattended when the mains plug is plugged in.
Information on setup and operation of the appliance
- Do not place the appliance or power cord near open flames during operation.
- Never touch the appliance or powercord with wet hands.
- For safety reasons, never place the appliance on hot surfaces, a metal tray or a wet surface.
- Always use the appliance on a level, uncluttered and heat-resistant surface.
- Ensure that the power cord does not hang over the edge of the counter top or table, since this can cause accidents, for example if small children pull on the cord.
- Never wrap the power cord around the appliance.
- Route the power cord so that there is no possibility of the cord being pulled or tripped over.
- Before inserting or removing accessories or switch off the appliance and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
- If possible, do not use an extension cord or multiple socket outlets to operate the appliance.
- The Lunchbox is only suitable for warming foods, as described in these instructions. Do not put any other objects in the Lunchbox.
- Ensure that dry food is not heated over an extended period of time in the appliance - danger of fire!
- The appliance must not be operated in a microwave!

To prevent appliance damage, avoid storing the Lunchbox in the refrigerator.

If you use the appliance outdoors, protect it from weather influences - danger of electric shock.
- Never use the Lunchbox as cooking pot or pan on stove-top burners or other similar cooking surfaces.
- The food that will be warmed in the Lunchbox must never be wrapped with foil or other materials.
- Likewise the Lunchbox must never be covered with foil - fire hazard!
- Never remove the food with hard utensils, e.g. metal utensils, as such utensils can scratch the coating. Only use utensils that are made of plastic or wood.
- After use and before cleaning, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
- The appliance is suitable only for processing of foods.
- Before you take the appliance apart or move it, it must be completely cooled.

CAUTION!
The appliance becomes very hot during operation, also on the outer surfaces. Therefore, be sure to maintain sufficient clearance between the appliance and all flammable objects; also provide for sufficient ventilation.
Always use pot holders whenever the appliance is in operation or as long as it is still hot.

Never open the housing of the appliance. This can result in electric shock.
The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.
BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Remove all packaging materials and any transport safeguards. Keep packaging materials away from children - danger of suffocation!
- Check whether all listed accessory parts are present.
- Clean all removable parts with a damp cloth as described in the section „Cleaning and care".
PUTTING FOOD INTO THE LUNCHBOX
- Ensure that the appliance is not plugged into the electrical outlet.
- Check to ensure that the appliance has been assembled correctly and is standing on a level, stable and heat-resistant surface. The stainless steel container must be inserted into the plastic housing of the box (see illustration).
- Put the food into the Lunchbox. The provided additional plastic inner container can be used for a dessert, side dishes, or garnishes, such as sauscs, and if desired, it can be removed before the heating process.
- Close the Lunchbox by pressing the handles firmly together. Please transport the Lunchbox only horizontally.

WARMING FOOD
- Ensure that the appliance is not plugged into the electrical outlet.
- Check to make sure that the appliance has been assembled correctly and is standing on a level, stable and heat-resistant surface.
- The socket for the power connection is covered with a transparent cap. Open this cap and first fasten the power cord on the socket.
- Then plug the mains plug into an electrical outlet (220-240 V~, 50/60 Hz).

The indicator light lights up and the appliance immediately starts to warm-up the food.

The warm-up time depends on various factors, such as the ambient temperature, the temperature of the food, etc. At an ambient temperature of approx. 25^ , 30-60 minutes can be sufficient. If the food that you put into the Lunchbox is cooled, the warm-up time is extended accordingly. From time to time, check whether the food has reached the desired temperature.
- As soon as the food has reached the temperature you desire, unplug the mains plug from the electrical outlet.

CLEANING AND CARE


Before cleaning or maintenance, unplug the mains plug from the electrical outlet and from the socket on the appliance. Wait until the appliance has completely cooled.
Do not immerse the appliance or the power cable in water or other liquids!
- You can wipe off the housing with adamp cloth and then dry it thoroughly.
- All removable accessories can be cleaned in warm water with mild dishwashing detergent; then rinse off with clean water and dry thoroughly. The plastic inner container, the stainless steel inner container, as well as the utensils can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.
- Attent ion - the Lunbbox housing is not suitable for dishwashers!
- Do not use any abrasive scouring agents, steel wool, metal objects, hot cleaning agents or disinfectants, since these items can damage the appliance.
- The appliance must be completely dry before you use it again.
- When completely dry, store the Lunchbox in a dry, safe place so that it is protected from dust, shock, heat and moisture.
- Store the appliance, put together, in a dry place where it is protected against dust.
GUARANTEE CONDITIONS
We grant a 24 months guarantee, and in case of commercial use a 12 months guarantee, starting from the date of purchase for any damage demonstrably due to manufacturing defects and when the appliance has been used according to its intended use. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. You can print out a return receipt on our website www.unold.de/ruecksendingung. (only for entries from Germany and Austria). The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.
WASTE DISPOSAL / ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular maintenance and expert repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance is defective and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal. Do not dispose this appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this product to an approved collection point for recycling of electric and electronic products. By separate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment.
