BEFORE FIRST USE

Before using your air humidifier for the first time, remove all possibly attached advertisement stickers (except for the type plate).
Should the appliance be stored at very low temperatures, you should let it stand at room temperature for approx. 1 hour before starting to use it.
Only use the appliance when the room temperature lies somewhere between 5^ and 40^ . The relative humidity should not exceed 80% . By the way: Relative humidity between 40% and 60% is ideal.
- Place the air humidifier on a stable, solid, dry, level and moisture resistant surface where it can not be knocked over. A deep-pile rug or carpet is not a suitable subsurface. Unimpeded air circulation around the appliance is extremely important for proper humidification. We recommend a minimum distance of 50 cm to walls, heaters and other objects.
Carefully remove the tank by lifting it up by the handle.
Turn the water tank upside down and screw off the tank lid.

Solis Perfect Air 7219 - BEFORE FIRST USE - 1

Hold the tank opening under a tap and fill it with fresh tap water. It is best to fill the tank completely. You can check the water level through the inspection window. The water should not be completely cold but also not warmer than 30^ .
Caution: Do not mix any additives like essential oils or perfumes into the water! These additives damage the appliance resp. cause discolorations to the plastic. Appliances that are damaged by adding additives are excluded from warranty.
Note: Humidification will be even more effective if the filled water is not very cold. However, the water temperature should not lie above 30^ , as this might damage parts of the appliance. To prevent fast calcification, you can use filtered water if the water is very calciferous.

Pull the water tub out of the appliance. Make sure that the humidification mat is properly placed in its frame in the water tub. Note: The markings on the bottom of the water tub indicate the correct position for the humidification mat and its mounting. Push the water tub all the way back into the appliance.

Intelli. Speed for automatically adjusted ventilation speed / humidification:

The Intelli. Speed function is set to reach a room air humidity of 60% once the room air humidity reaches 60% ,the appliance stops. The ventilation speed resp. humidification power is adjusted to the current room air humidity:

  • If the room air humidity is below 40% , the appliance switches to High Speed.
  • If the room air humidity is between 41% and 55% , the appliance switches to Normal Speed.

In general: The timer function is disabled in the standard --h setting.
As soon as you press the Timer button, 01h lights up for one hour. By each press of the button, the value can be increased by one hour, until you reach a maximum of 12 hours. After that, --h lights up in the display and the timer is switched off again.
You can use the Timer function to set the number of hours after which you want the appliance to switch on (Automatic start-up) or off (Automatic shutdown).

Automatic start-up

If the air humidifier is plugged in but has not been switched on with the ON/OFF button, you can use the Timer button to set the number of hours after which you want the appliance to switch on. WEEKLY CLEANING OF THE WATER TUB AND THE WATER TANK AS WELL AS THE HUMIDIFICATION MAT

1. CLEANING THE WATER TUB

Particles of dirt and microorganisms collect in the water tub during use, which is why the tub has to be cleaned regularly, at least once a week. With the water tank removed, carefully pull the water tub with the humidification mat out of the appliance. Remove the mounting with the humidification mat. Emoty out the water tub. Use tap water not warmer than 30^ with some mild detergent and a soft towel resp. a soft sponge to clean the tub.
After this first cleaning cycle, the adherent limestone deposits should be removed. To do this, dip the soft towel / the soft sponge into a solution of descaler suitable for air humidifiers and water. For the correct ratio of water and descaling agent, please refer to the information given on the packaging of the descaling agent. Alternatively, you can use white vinegar. Remove the deposits with the soaked towel / sponge.

After that, rinse the inside of tub thoroughly with water. Dry the inside of the tub with a soft towel and leave it to air-dry with the appliance opened.

2. CLEANING THE WATER TANK

Clean the water tank with a moist towel and rinse the inside with some tap water. After that, empty the tank out completely.
If there are any limestone deposits in the water tank, they should be removed. To do that, dip a soft towel/ a soft sponge into the same descending solution that you used for the water tub. Alternatively, you can use white vinegar. Remove the limestone deposits in the water tank with the soaked towel/ sponge. After that, carefully rinse the water tank with clear water multiple times and pour the water away.
It is absolutely necessary that the air humidifier is completely emptied out and cleaned if the water-filled appliance has not been used for more than a week.

Caution:

The humidification disks and the water tub cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher!

In general, please do not use any aggressive or abrasive detergents or metal sponges, as these might damage the surface.

The correction of defects caused by the use of improper descending agent is excluded from warranty.

1. With the appliance switched off and unplugged, remove the humidification mat and the mounting from the water tub.
2. Remove the humidification mat from the zig-zag mounting.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possiblecause Solution
Little humidification power.- The function Sleep Speed resp. 40% or 45% has been selected.- The water in the water tub is very cold.- Select a higher air humidity, e.g. 60% or 70% and a higher ventilation speed, e.g. High Speed or Normal Speed.- Select the air humidity 60% or 70%. Alter some time, the humidification power will increase.
No humidification power.- The power plug is not connected to the socket.- The warning light Empty Water lights up.- Firmly connect the power plug to the socket.- Switch the appliance off. Fill the water tank up with fresh tap water, then switch the appliance on again.
An independent humidity switch measures a different humidity value from the display on the appliance.- Dirt has collected in the air outlet or inlet opening.- The appliance is placed near a window or an open door.- Clean the air inlet and outlet openings. Note: Even within one room, different values for humidity can be measured. The value on the appliance refers always to the humidity exactly by the appliance.- Place the appliance in a spot free of draft.
The escaping air smells unpleasantly.- There is old water in the water tub/water tank.- Drain the water and clean the appliance as described in "Cleaning and maintenance". Fill the water tank with fresh tap water.
