PHD5987 12/2012 7en Safety notes Please read and follow the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference. Enclose these instructions when you give this appliance to someone else. This appliance is designed for domestic use or for use in non- commercial, household-like environments. Household-like environments include, for example, use in staff kitchens in shops, ofces, agricultural and other small businesses, as well as use by guests at bed-and-breakfast establishments, small hotels and similar residential facilities.
Danger of electric shock and re! Connect and operate the appliance only according to the type plate specications. Children younger than 8 years may not operate the appliance. It will switch back on after a few minutes. To pre-dry towel-dried hair, select tempera- ture setting 3 and fan setting 2. Permanent ionisation This hair dryer comes with a continuous ionisation feature. Ions are naturally occur- ring electrically charged particles that are produced in the hair dryer by an ion generator. The feature makes your hair softer and easier to comb. It also has an anti-static effect that reduces “y-away” hair. The ionisation function can’t be switched off. Keratin is a very strong protein that forms the main component of human hair. It gives the hair its stability, elasticity and keeps it healthy. Daily styling, especially using heat, can lead to long-term damage of the cuticle and the keratin in the hair, resulting in split ends or even breakage. With the “Keratin” function, the delicate keratin structure of the hair is protected against excess heat and drying out. By pressing button 3 /, the hair dryer auto- matically switches to the combination set- ting of air and temperature, which protects the protein from damage. The button / can be permanently set and lights up. It can be switched off at any time during operation. turbo button By pressing the turbo button, the airow is increased and hair will dry faster. The but- ton is lockable and can be switched on at any fan or temperature level. Cool button 3 The Cool button is ideal for xing the hair after drying. It xes the individual hair sec- tions with the cool airow. The function can be activated at any time and is active as long as the 3 button is pressed. Styling nozzle The styling nozzle is specially designed for drying and styling sections of hair. Attach the styling nozzle to the appliance. Make sure it clicks into place. The nozzle can be turned as required. Use: ● Set the fan and temperature to a higher setting. ● Direct the air stream right onto the section of hair you want to style. ● To x the hair, switch on the Cool button and repeat the process. Important: The nozzle should never actually touch the hair. Diffuser The diffuser is ideal for straight or damaged hair. It gives ne, long or medium-length hair more volume. Hold the tips of the diffuser upwards, tilt your head side- ways and run the diffuser into your hair from below, lifting it up. The hair should rest gently between the individual ngers of the diffuser while drying.
