Safety instructions Please read and follow the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference. Enclose these instructions when you give this appliance to someone else. This appliance is designed for domestic use or for use in household-like, non-commercial environments. Household- like environments include staff areas in shops, of ces, agricultural and other small businesses or for use by guests at bed-and-breakfast establishments, small hotels and similar residential facilities. A Danger of electric shock and re! Only use the appliance indoors at room temperature and up to 2000 m above sea level. Connect and operate the appliance only according to the type plate speci cations. Children younger than 8 years may not operate the appliance. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance may not be carried out by children without supervision. Use only if power cord and appliance show no signs of damage. Unplug after every use or if defective. To avoid potential hazards, repairs such as replacing a damaged cable must only be carried out by our customer service personnel. The power cord must not ● touch hot parts; ● be pulled over sharp edges; ● be used as a carrying handle; ● be rolled up tightly. Unplug the appliance before cleaning it. Do not disconnect the power supply by pulling the cord. Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not use a steam cleaner. Do not use if hair is very wet. Do not use on fake hair.

Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, basins or other vessels containing water.6

Even an appliance that has been switched off poses a danger; therefore unplug the appliance after every use or when interrupted in its use. Installing a ground fault circuit interrupter up to 30 mA in the house offers additional protection. Please consult an electrician. A Risk of suffocation! You have acquired a high-quality product that will bring you a lot of enjoyment. These operating instructions describe a hair dryer and accessories. Using the appliance Important: ■ Never cover the fan or air inlet. ■ Ensure that the inlet opening does not become blocked with lint or hair. ■ If the hair dryer overheats, e.g. due to a covered air inlet, it will automatically switch off and then switch on again several minutes later. ■ To predry towel-dry hair, select the powerful fan setting and a high temperature. Keep the fan opening approx. 10 cm from your head. Fan off gentle strong Temperature low medium high The fan and temperature levels can be combined in any way you wish. Cool button The cooling function is ideal for setting hair after drying. It xes the individual sections of hair with the cool airow. Press the Cool button to activate the cooling function on any setting. Press the Cool button again to switch off the cooling function.7

Styling nozzle The styling nozzle is specially designed for drying and styling sections of hair. Attach the styling nozzle to the appliance. Make sure it clicks into place. The nozzle can be turned as required. Select gentle fan with a low temperature. Important: The nozzle should never actually touch the hair. Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not steam-clean the appliance. ■ Only wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and then dry off. Do not use harsh or abrasive detergents. ■ Regularly remove the air inlet grill, take out the lter at the back, rinse and dry or clean with a soft brush.
