How to assemble the GS15 SunRed heater?

Follow the steps in the manual: attach the bottom tube to the base, route the cable, connect the middle and upper tubes, place the head and secure it with M4*8 screws, then attach the cord to the base with M4X15 screws. Mount the wheels if necessary.

What is the power and heating type?

The GS15 has a power of 2100 W and uses a halogen infrared heating element.

Can I use this heater indoors?

Yes, but only in a large open space, away from obstacles, with a minimum distance of 1 meter from flammable objects and walls. Do not use in small rooms without supervision.

What if the heater doesn't turn on after moving it?

It is possible that the connection between the tubes has come loose. Disassemble the tubes and check the connector/seal as shown in step 4 of the assembly.

How to clean the heater?

Unplug the device and wait for it to cool down. Clean the surface with a damp cloth. Never use corrosive cleaners or solvents and do not immerse the device in water.

Can I use the heater in the rain?

Although the heater is splash resistant, it is not recommended to use it in rain or humid conditions.

How to replace the halogen tube?

Replacement of the halogen tube should be carried out by a qualified electrician or an authorized service center. Do not attempt to do it yourself.

What are the important safety precautions?

Place the heater on a solid horizontal surface, keep a distance of 1 meter from flammable objects, do not cover it, do not leave it unattended near children or animals, and unplug it before any maintenance.

Does the heater have automatic shut-off if it tips over?

Yes, the device is equipped with an emergency switch that turns off the heater immediately if it falls.

Can I use an extension cord with this heater?

This product is for domestic use ONLY and should not be used commercially or for contract purposes. Please read these instructions carefully before using your new halogen heater.

Unpack the halogen heater, making sure that all the items are present and that there are no components left in the box and that the heater head is free from any packaging material.

Using the detailed drawing, follow the steps to assemble your heater.

Do not connect the heater to the electrical supply until all the assembly is complete.

Do not connect the heater to the electrical supply if any of the components or the power cord is damaged in any way. If in doubt contact your supplier.

Caution

Only use the heater on a firm, solid and horizontal surface with the base securely in contact with the floor. The heater is fitted with an automatic turn off-switch in case the heater tilts or falls over.

1. Place the heater outside or in a large open area and well away from any obstructions such as branches or from objects that can be affected by heat, such as furniture, curtains or other inflammable objects (minimum distance 1 meter).
2. Do not use near bath tubs, washing areas or swimming pools.
3. Do not use in unventilated areas.
4. Do not use where gas, petrol, paint or other inflammable goods are stored.
5. Do not push any items through, obstruct or cover the grill of the heater head.
6. Do not position immediately above or below an electrical socket.
7. Do not move when connected to an electrical supply and always wait for the patio heater to cool down before storing away.
8. Do not touch the heater head when in use.
9. Do not leave turned on and unattended especially when children and/or animals are in the vicinity.
10. The indication of the different positions of switches must be visible from a distance of 1 meter.
11. The marking concerning covering must be visible after the heater has been installed. It shall not be placed on the back of the heater.
12. The unit must be placed with a clearance of 100cm to the wall and 30cm to the ceiling.
13. The unit must be correctly installed according to the instructions. Make sure the head is at least 1.8m from the floor.
14. The unit must be securely placed on a horizontal and flat surface.
15. The unit is at high temperature during operation. It keeps hot for a period after shut down. Do not touch it during this period.
16. Do not place the unit close to curtains and/or other flammable objects. Otherwise there will be a danger of catching fire.
17. Do not cover the unit with anything during operation or a short time after it has been shut down.
18. Do not wrap the power supply cord around the unit.
19. The unit must be handled with care. Avoid vibration or impact.
20. The unit must be securely grounded during operation.
21. If the unit gets damaged, it must be repaired by a professional electrician.
22. When the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized agent or other professionals to avoid danger.
23. The unit must not be positioned under a socket.
24. When assembling, keep clear from any board or flammable material.
25. The unit must be supervised by adults if it is used by a child.
26. It is not safe to install the unit by a swimming pool, in a bathroom or shower area.
27. The unit is for household use only. It is not safe to use on a building site, greenhouse, barn or stable where there is flammable dust.
28. The head of the unit is at high temperature during operation. Unplug the unit and wait until it cools down before cleaning.
29. Do not use this unit in place where causticity or volatile air exists, i.e. dust, steam, gas, etc.

30. Do not use this unit as a cloth drier or towel drier.

31. Do not use this unit as a sauna heater.

32. Do not use this unit in place of animal propagating and raising.
33. Do not immerse this unit into water for cleaning.
34. The unit should be plugged in a socket, which is easily visible and reachable.
35. Two dark points may appear on the surface of the heating elements during the first few minutes after it is turned on. This is normal, and will not affect the performance of the unit.
36. A tilt switch is fitted inside the unit for safety purposes.
37. The wheels are only for the purpose of moving the heater. Once the heater is in the desired position, the wheels should be removed for safety purposes.

WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

The heater is to be installed so that switches and other controls cannot be touched by a person in the bath or shower.

Operation

Connect the power cable to a 13 amp supply that is located in a safe, dry area.

The switch on the heater head is used to control the heat settings. (I) for 2100W - (0) for OFF.
Although the patio heater is weather proof, do not use when raining or in wet conditions.
Always disconnect the power cable from the electrical supply when the patio heater is not in use.

Care and maintenance

• When disconnected from the electrical supply, clean the surface of the patio heater with a damp cloth. Never use corrosive or solvent cleaners or immerse in water.
  Any maintenance or repairs including replacing the halogen tube should only be carried out by a qualified electrician or by a recommended service center.

Assembly

Step 1: Connect the Bottom Tube to the Base by screwing them together.

Step 2: Feed the Power Cord through the Base and the Bottom Tube, and pull through around 3 meters of cable.

Step 3: Connect the two Middle Tubes with the Bottom Tube by screwing them together.

Step 4: Connect the Top Tube with the Middle Tube by screwing them together.

Step 5: Place the power cord plug through base, Bottom Tube, Middle Tubes and Top Tube. Connect the power cord plug to the socket in the heater head.

Step 6: Push the Heater Head onto the Top Tube and fix in position using the M4x8mm screws.

Step 7: Fix the power cord on the rubber base by using two M4X15 screws.

Step 8: Fixing on the floor

Electric Diagram:

Tip: When you're moving your heater and when you use it again you're the heater stopped working, could it be the connection inside has popped out. This you can restore itself through the tubes apart and the cables back together. See step 5 in the Assemble.
