- This appliance can be used by children aged from 3 years under supervision. - This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. - This appliance is not a toy. CHARGING THE BATTERY: - Caution: a new battery is not fully charged and must therefore be charged before the appliance is used for the rst time. - Charge the battery at an atmospheric temperature of between 4 and 40ºC. - Connect the charger to the jack using the socket on the appliance. The socket is located at the lower/back part of the appliance. - Plug the charger (M) into the mains. - The pilot light (D) will light blue (Nixus) or white (Nixus premium) during charging, once it is 100% charged, the color will change to green. - Approximately 8 hours are needed for a complete charger of the battery. Never attempt to overcharge the battery (although it is recommended that the rst charge of the battery be of 16 hours in duration). - When the battery is charged disconnect the charger from the mains supply.INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE BEFORE USE: - Make sure that all products’ packaging has been removed. - Before using this product for the rst time, it is important to make a full charge of batteries. INSERTION OF A COMB GUIDE: - Take the guide comb and insert it into the guides (Fig.1). - To remove the guide comb, hold the comb measurement selector low, and then pull the comb upwards. (Fig 2.) USE: - The appliance can be used directly connected to the mains or by using his batteries. - Unroll the cable completely before plugging it in. - Connect the appliance to the mains. - Make sure that the blades are correctly aligned. - Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off button. - Select the desired cutting height using the comb height selector (F). Press it and adjust the height according to the desired cutting length. HOW TO CUT THE HAIR: - Situate the person whose hair you are going to cut so that the top of their head is at your eye level. Place a protective towel or cloth around their neck. - To obtain best results is better to use the appliance on dry hair, as it is much easier to control the hair and the results. - Comb hair well before cutting. Make sure that there are no tangles or knots. - Hold the appliance in calm and relaxed manner in order to ensure maximum control of the cut and uniform result. Proceed to use short cuts gradually going around the head. - Leave the hair a little longer than desired length as it can always be altered later. - While working adapt the comb/comb guide to the desired result. - At regular intervals, stop cutting in order to comb the hair and check the results so far. STEP 1 – NAPE: - Attach the comb guide size 3 / 6 mm. - Hold the appliance with the razor facing downwards and begin to cut the hair from the base of the neck.- Make some upward movements, raising the appliance gradually and away from the head, cutting the hair gradually until the height of the ears (Fig.3). STEP 2 – BACK OF HEAD: - Attach comb guide size 9 / 12/ 15 /18 mm and continue with the back of the head (Fig.4). STEP 3 – SIDE OF HEAD: - Attach the longest comb guide size 9 / 12 / 15 / 18 mm again and continue until you reach the top of the head. STEP 4 – TOP OF HEAD: - Using comb guide size adjusted to desired height, pass the appliance from the back to the front, against the growth of the hair (Fig.5). In some cases it’s necessary to go over what you have done a second time from front to back. - The comb guide size 3 / 6 mm is for when you want to achieve a more precise cut. - Use comb guides size 9 / 12 /15 /18 mm to leave hair at a longer length. Hold the hair up with the comb or the comb and your ngers and cut. - Always work form back to the front reducing the length between your ngers or the comb and the head gradually. STEP 5 – FINAL TOUCH: - Finally use the appliance without attaching any comb guides to the blades to cut the hair around the base of the neck, the sides of the neck and the ears. - To make sideburns straight, turn the appliance over to use the upper blades (Fig. 6). Move the appliance adapting it the physiog- nomy of the head. To achieve more precise results use a shaver. ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE APPLIANCE: - Turn the appliance off using the on/off button. - Unplug the appliance from the mains. - Put on the protective cover. CLEANING: - Disconnect the battery charger from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task. - Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops of wash-ing-up liquid and then dry. - Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance. - Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water. - During the cleaning process, take special care with the blades, as they are very sharp. - If the appliance is not in good condition of cleanliness, its surface may degrade and inexorably affect the duration of the appliance’s useful life and could become unsafe to us. - Clean the blades and the comb guide with the cleaning brush. Remove the hairs from the blades and from inside the appliance with the brush. It is important to clean off remaining hairs after each use. - To clean the blades press button G, proceed to clean them using the brush. For a deeper cleaning, press the inner pivoting blade. (Fig.7) - It is important to clean the hair after each use. - Do not immerse the blades under the water - Once the appliance has been cleaned, add a drop of lubricating oil to the blades and keep the appliance on for a few seconds.
