USE AND CARE
Fully extend the appliance's power cable before each use.
Do not use the appliance if its accessories are not properly fitted.
Do not use the appliance if its accessories attached to it are defective. Replace them immediately.
Do not use the appliance on wet hair.
Do not use the appliance if on/off switch doesn't work.
If you use the appliance in a bathroom or similar place, unplug the appliance from the mains when it is not in use, even if it is only for a short while, as proximity to water involves a risk, even if the appliance is disconnected.
Disconnect the battery charger from the mains when not in use, before undertaking any cleaning task make any adjustment or accessory change.
Store this appliance out of reach of children and/or persons with physical, sensory or reduced mental or lack of experience and knowledge.
Never rest the appliance into a surface while in use.
Keep the appliance in good condition. Check that the moving parts are not misaligned or jammed and make sure there are no broken parts or anomalies that may prevent the appliance from operating correctly.
Pay special attention when assembling and removing the accessories, as the blades are sharp. Be careful and avoid direct contact with the blades' cutting edges.
Do not use the appliance for more than 60 minutes at any one time. When using 60 minute cycles allow a resting period of at least 10 minute
between each cycle. Under no circumstances should the appliance be operated for more time than necessary.
Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
Never leave the appliance connected and unattended if is not in use. This saves energy and prolongs the life of the appliance.
Keep children and bystanders away when using this appliance.
Do not use the appliance with pets or animals.
Do not open the battery/ies under any circumstances whatsoever.
Recharge the battery/ies only with the charger supplied by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one typ of battery may cause explosion or fire hazard when used with other battery/ies.
Use the device only with the battery/ies for which has been specifically designed. The use of any other battery/ies can cause an explosion or fire hazard.
The appliance has been oiled in origin. In order to maintain the appliance in good operation conditions we suggest greasing the blades every time you clean it by putting a few drops of oil on the ends of the blade, and finally switching on the appliance during a few seconds.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
Caution: a new battery is not fully charged and must therefore be charged before the appliance is used for the first time.
Charge the battery at an atmospheric temperature of between 4 and 40°C.
Connect the charger to the jack using the socket on the appliance. The socket is located at the lower part of the appliance.
Plug the charger into the mains.
The display will show the \% of battery charged. Approximately 3 to 4 hours are needed for a complete charger of the battery. Never attempt to overcharge the battery
When the battery is charged disconnect the charger from the mains supply.
HOW TO CHECK THE BATTERY'S CHARGE LEVEL
The display will show the \% of battery charged. It will show 100, when the appliance id completely charged.
NB: For a long battery life, it is advisable to charge the battery, only when it has run out completely.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE
Make sure that all products' packaging has been removed.
Before using this product for the first time, it is important to make a full charge of batteries.
INSERTION OF A COMB GUIDE (Fig.1)
To attach the comb guide, pick up by its two tips and press against the blades of the appliance until is firmly fixes
To extract the comb guide, just pull out.
USE
The appliance can be used directly connected to the mains or by using his batteries.
Extend the cable completely before plugging it in.
Connect the appliance to the mains.
Remove the protective cover (Fig.2)
Insert the comb guide you need
Make sure that the blades are correctly aligned.
Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off switch.
HOW TO CUT THE HAIR
Situate the person whose hair you are going to cut so that the top of their head is at your eye level. Place a protective towel or cloth around their neck.
To obtain best results is better to use the appliance on dry hair, as it is much easier to control the hair and the results.
Comb hair well before cutting. Make sure that there are no tangles or knots.
Hold the appliance in calm and relaxed manner in order to ensure maximum control of the cut and uniform result. Proceed to use short cuts gradually going around the head.
Leave the hair a little longer than desired length as it can always be altered later.
While working adapt the comb/comb guide to the desired result.
At regular intervals, stop cutting in order to comb the hair and check the results so far.
Step 1 – Nape:
Attach the comb guide size 3 / 6 mm.
Hold the appliance with the razor facing downwards and begin to cut the hair from the base of the neck.
Make some upward movements, raising the appliance gradually and away from the head, cutting the hair gradually until the height of the ears (Fig.3).
Step 2 – Back of head:
Attach comb guide size 10/13 mm and continue with the back of the head (Fig.4).
Step 3 – Side of head:
Attach a new shorter guide, size 3 / 6 mm to trim the sideburns.
Attach the longest comb guide size 10/13 mm again and continue until you reach the top of the head.
Step 4 – Top of head:
Using comb guide size 10/13 m, pass the appliance from the back to the front, against the growth of the hair (Fig.5). In some cases, it's necessary to go over what you have done a second time from front to back.
The comb guide size 3 / 6 mm is for when you want to achieve a more precise cut.
Use comb guides size 10/13 mm to leave hair at a longer length. Hold the hair up with the comb or the comb and your fingers and cut.
Always work form back to the front reducing the length between your fingers or the comb and the head gradually.
Step 5 – Final touch:
Finally use the appliance without attaching any comb guides to the blades to cut the hair around the base of the neck, the sides of the neck and the ears.
To make sideburns straight, turn the appliance over to use the upper blades (Fig.6). Move the appliance adapting it the physiognomy of the head. To achieve more precise results, use a shaver.
ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE APPLIANCE
Turn the appliance off, using the on/off switch.
Unplug the appliance from the mains.
Clean the appliance.
Put on the protective cover.
SAFETY THERMAL PROTECTOR
The appliance has a safety device, which protects the appliance from overheating.
If the appliance turns itself off and does not switch itself on again, disconnect it from the mains supply, and wait for approximately 15 minutes before reconnecting. If the machine does not start again seek authorized technical assistance.
CLEANING
Disconnect the battery charger from the mains and allow it to cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a
few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
Never submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid or place it under running water.
During the cleaning process, take special care with the blades, as they are very sharp.
If the appliance is not in good condition of cleanliness, its surface may degrade and inexorably affect the duration of the appliance's useful life and could become unsafe to us.
Clean the blades and the comb guide with the cleaning brush. Remove the hairs from the blades and from inside the appliance with the brush. It is important to clean off remaining hairs after each use.
NEVER disassemble the blades from the appliance for clean it.
