Getting started
- Take the appliance out of the box.
- Remove all the packaging from the product.
- Place the packaging inside the box or dispose of it safely in compliance with the waste sorting instructions shown on the product packaging.
Safety warning and notice
You must read and understand all the instructions before using this appliance. The warranty will not apply if damage is caused by failure to follow the instructions.
- Never remove the appliance casing.
- Never place this appliance on top of other electrical equipment.
- Protect the power cord from being stepped on or pinched, particularly at the plugs, sockets, and the point where it exits the appliance. Make sure that the power voltage corresponds to the voltage shown on the rating plate at the rear of the appliance. Always pull the plug from the socket when disconnecting from the mains. Never pull on the cord. Ensure you have completed all the other connections before connecting the plug.
- Only use attachments/accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer.

Entrust all appliance repairs to qualified repairers. Repair is needed when once has been damaged in any fashion, and in particular:

if the power cord is damaged;
- in the event of a liquid spill or objects being inserted into the appliance;
- if the appliance is exposed to rain or dampness;

The series panel is located on the bottom of the appliance.
- Never block the air vents.
- Make sure you have enough space for ventilation. Place the product on a stable surface.
- This device must be used in a moderate climate, away from direct sunlight, naked flames or heat, heating devices, cookers or any other devices (including amplifiers) that generate heat. Do not install near a heat source.
- The batteries (battery pack or inserted batteries) must not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunshine, fire, etc.
- Always unplug the device before cleaning it. Never lubricate any part of this appliance. Clean it with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive products or harsh cleaners.

- Ensure that you always have easy access to the power cord, plug or adaptor to disconnect this appliance from the mains if necessary.
- Do not use this appliance near water. It must not be dripped on or splashed. Do not use this appliance in a damp or wet environment.
- Disconnect this appliance in the event of a storm or if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and over, and by persons with a physical or sensory disability, learning difficulties or a lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or have received instructions on the safe use of the appliance, and they understand the risks involved. Children must not play with the appliance or power cord (risk of strangulation). Children must not clean or maintain the appliance without supervision.
- This device must only be supplied with very low safety voltage corresponding to the marking on the device.

Description of parts

- (Stayby-On)
Turn the soundbar on or put it in standby mode.
- Adjustable feet: You can adjust the direction of the sound using the folding legs.

INSERTING THE BATTERIES
Insert the batteries of the remote control
- Press the battery compartment clip to slide it downwards and lift the cover.
- Insert 2 × 1.5 V AAA/LR04/UM3 batteries (not supplied) with the + and - ends in the right position as indicated on the battery compartment.
- Place the farthest end of the cover in position on top of the battery compartment. Then push down on the closest end until you hear a click to indicate that it is securely in place.



Note:
The batteries must be inserted correctly to avoid damaging the remote control. Always remove the batteries when the remote control is not in use for a prolonged period, as they may leak and damage the remote control.
If you have to bring the remote control closer to the unit to make it work, it means that the batteries are low. In this case, replace the batteries
Connection
Place the unit in the required location and unwind the power cable.
Connect to the TV AUDIO jack
The soundbar works in TV Audio with the TV audio return channel (TV Audio). If your TV is compatible with the audio return channel, you can hear TV audio through the soundbar using a single TV audio cable.

Equipment needed: An audio source with a TV audio output and a TV audio cable (included)
1 Using a high-speed TV audio cable, connect the TV audio from the soundbar to the TV audio connector on the TV.
- The connector on the TV may be labelled differently. For more information, consult the TV's user manual.
2 Turn on the television on your TV and the soundbar will synchronise operations. For more information, consult the TV's user manual.
Connecting to the optical socket
Using an optical cable, connect the Optical connector on your soundbar to the Optical out connector on the TV or other device.
The digital optical connector may be labelled SPDIF or SPDIF OUT.

Equipment needed: An audio source with an optical audio output and a digital optical audio cable (included). Be sure to select the Optical output in the settings of your TV or your device.
Connecting to the AUX socket
- Use a 3.5 to 3.5mm audio cable (included) to connect the earphone jack on the TV to the AUX jack on the unit.

- Use an RCA to 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to connect the TV audio output jacks to the AUX jack on the unit.

Connecting to the subwoofer
Using a subwoofer cable, connect the SUB OUT connector to the soundbar.

Electrical connection
- Make sure that all the other connections have been made before plugging in the power cable.
- Risk of damage to the product! Make sure the supply voltage matches the voltage printed on the back or base of the unit.
- Plug the power cord into the power socket on the unit and then into a wall outlet.
Power supply
Insert the mains adapter into the power outlet and turn the power on if necessary. Switch on and off
- When you first connect the unit to the mains, the unit is in standby mode. The standby indicator lights up.
- Press the button to turn the unit on or off.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet if you want to turn the unit off completely.
- If the TV Audio is connected, the unit will automatically turn on when the TV is turned on.
Automatic standby
When playing media from a connected device, the soundbar will automatically switch to standby mode if no button is pressed for 10 minutes or there is no audio from a connected device for 10 minutes.
Mode selection
Press the Source button on the device several times or press the Aux, Optical, TV audio, BT/Pair buttons on the remote control to select the mode you want.
The indicator light on the soundbar shows which mode is currently in use.
- Aux: The green light indicates that the soundbar is in Aux In mode.
- BT: The blue light indicates that the soundbar is in Bluetooth mode.
- Optical: The white light indicates that the soundbar is in Optical mode.
- TV Audio: The yellow light indicates that the soundbar is in TV Audio mode.
Select the preset sound modes that match your video or music.
Press the EQ button on the remote control to choose the preset equaliser effects you want.

Press the Flat button to return to the normal mode.
Adjusting the volume
1 Press Vol+/Vol- (Volume) to increase or decrease the volume level.
To mute the sound, press (Mute).
- To unmute, press (Mute) again or press Vol+/Vol-(Volume).
- If you are connected to TV audio, you can also control the volume from the remote control of your TV.
Bluetooth operation
Via Bluetooth, connect the soundbar with your Bluetooth device (e.g. iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Android phone or laptop), and you can listen to audio files stored on the device or streamed through the speakers of the soundbar.
Equipment needed
-
A Bluetooth device that works with the Bluetooth A2DP profile, AVRCP profile and Bluetooth version 4.2 + EDR.

The maximum operational range between the soundbar and the Bluetooth device is approximately 10 metres (30 feet).

Press the Source button several times or press the BT button on the remote control to put the soundbar in Bluetooth mode.
The BT indicator flashes as it waits to pair.
- On the Bluetooth device, switch to Bluetooth, find and select SB600BTS to start the connection (see the user manual of the Bluetooth device for how to activate Bluetooth).
While it is connecting, the BT indicator flashes.
- Wait to hear the sound emitted from the soundbar.
When the connection is made, the BT indicator switches on (steady light).

Choose and play the audio files or music on your Bluetooth device.
-
During playback, if you get a call, the music will pause. Playback resumes when the call ends.
- If your Bluetooth device runs with the AVRCP profile, you can press < / > to skip a track or press on the remote control to pause/resume playback.
- To exit Bluetooth, choose another source.
- When you return to Bluetooth mode, the Bluetooth connection remains active.
Note:
- The live music stream may be interrupted by obstacles located between the device and the soundbar, e.g. a wall, the metal casing of the device, or other nearby devices operating on the same frequency.
- If you want to connect your soundbar to another Bluetooth device, press and hold the BT/PAIR on the remote control to disconnect the previously connected Bluetooth device.
AUX / OPTICAL / TV audio operation
- Make sure the unit is connected to the TV or audio device.
- Press the Source button several times on the unit or press the Aux, Optical and TV buttons on the remote control to choose the required mode.
- Adjust the playback functions directly on your audio device.
- Press the VOL+/- buttons to adjust the volume to the required level.
Note:
- In OPTICAL or TV mode, if there is no audio output from the unit and the status light is flashing, you may need to enable the PCM or Dolby Digital Signal output on your source device (TV, DVD or Blu-ray player).
USB charging
- This soundbar has a USB charging port with a 5V, 1A output current.
Warning about batteries:
This product contains one or more batteries.
- Use batteries correctly to prevent any injury or fire caused by a leak, overheating, explosion, erosion or other damage.
- Keep new and used batteries out of the reach of children or any vulnerable person. Stop using the product if the battery compartment does not close properly.
- If the liquid from an alkaline battery comes into contact with the skin and/or eyes, rinse immediately with fresh water and consult a physician.
If an alkaline battery leaks, wipe up the liquid with a cloth and replace the battery with a new one. - Do not swallow the battery/ies. If swallowed, a battery can cause severe internal burns in 2 hours and can cause death. If batteries are swallowed, contact a poison centre immediately and consult a physician.
- Use AA Ni-MH, alkaline or lithium batteries.
- Do not charge these batteries. Charging non-rechargeable batteries causes gas and/or heat emissions that can cause explosions and/or fires.
- Do not use different types of battery or a mixture or new and old batteries at the same time.
- Insert the batteries according to the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not put the same battery poles in contact with each other.
- Remove dead batteries quickly. There is a risk of the battery exploding if this is not replaced correctly or if the appliance is not used for a period of time.
- Replace the battery with an identical or equivalent model.
- The batteries (or battery pack) must not be exposed to excessive heat, such as sunlight, fire, etc.

Do not heat batteries and do not dispose of them in fire or water.

Do not use metal pliers or metal objects such as the point of a pen or tweezers to remove batteries. Avoid deforming, crushing or piercing batteries.
- Do not disassemble the batteries.
- Cover the ends of the batteries with tape to prevent explosions and combustion when these need to be scrapped.
- Be environmentally friendly when scrapping batteries
- Do not dispose of batteries in ordinary household waste.
- When disposing of batteries, be sure to follow local disposal regulations.

N.B.: The maximum operational range is approximately 10 metres. Place your Bluetooth speaker as close as possible to the device to avoid the connection being disrupted.

- If you are listening to music played on your mobile phone that is connected to the SB600BTS system and your receive an incoming call, the music is immediately paused while you answer the call and playback will resume once the call is ended (depending on the type of mobile phone, playback may sometimes remain paused after the end of the call).

In this case, contact our technical support. For any problem with a defective product, contact your point of purchase with your receipt. The warranty does not cover problems of improper use.
