2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

  • Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
  • Do not cover the air inlet or outlet openings while the appliance is operating. Keep a minimum distance of 1 metre from the appliance to any object or wall on each side, front and back.
  • Do not place the appliance close to heat sources, flammable substances, wet surfaces where it can fall or be pushed into water or allow it to come into contact with water or other liquids.
  • The product's surface might reach high temperatures during operation. Hold the heater only by the handle in order to move it.
  • Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water, unplug immediately.
  • Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.
  • This appliance is intended for household use only. Do not use for industrial or commercial purposes.
  • Do not allow the cord to come into contact with hot surfaces.
  • Do not use the appliance to dry clothes or leave it unattended during operation.

3. BEFORE USE

  1. Take the product out of the box and remove any packaging materials.
  2. Check for any visible damage, if any is observed, contact as soon as possible the Technical Support Service of Cecotec for advice or reparation.
  3. Place the heater on a flat and stable surface.
  4. Set the power-level switch at "0" and plug the product's cord into an earthed power supply.

  • Turn the power-level knob and thermostat to maximum for fast warming up of a room. Once the room has reached the desired temperature, set the power-level knob at a lower temperature to reduce electrical consumption.

  • When the temperature set at the thermostat is reached, the appliance will automatically switch off and will switch back on again when the room temperature falls below the set one.

  • The indicator light will be ON while de thermostat is operating and will turn OFF when the set temperature is reached.
  • Before removing the plug from the power supply, turn the power-level knob to "0".

Press this button in order to activate or deactivate the heat-oscillation function.

OVERHEAT PROTECTION

This heater is protected with an overheat protection that switches off the appliance automatically in case of overheating. It can block due to the total or partial obstruction of the air inlet or outlet. If this happens, follow the instructions below:

  1. Unplug the appliance and wait about 30 minutes for it to cool down.
  2. Remove the object which is obstructing the air inlet or outlet.
  3. Switch it on again. The appliance should now operate normally.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Always turn off, unplug and allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning.
  • Do not use abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners to clean the product.
  • Use a soft, dampened and clean cloth to clean the product's outer housing. Be careful not to touch the heating elements.
  • A common cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff in the appliance. Ensure these deposits are cleared regularly by vacuum-cleaning air vents and grilles.
    If the heater is not going to be operated for a long period of time, store it in a dry and safe place where it is protected from dust.
